Everybody knows that one of the hardest things in the world is to get somebody else to go grocery shopping for you. How do you get them to find the EXACT STUFF that you like? Somehow, miraculously, Instacart has figured this nightmare out! The thing that really makes this work well is that you have quick & easy communication with your shopper during the shopping process. Plus, you get to specify within the app how to handle substitutions for each item (if an item is out of stock). Instacart is very smooth, it works great, and there are almost no problems. Every once in a while, there is a very minor problem with the shopper substituting the wrong item, but accuracy for us has been around 98%.

I cannot count the precious Saturday hours I have wasted trekking to Whole Foods for my weekly shopping expedition when I would rather spend my non-working days - I mean DAY - relaxing at home. Enter Instacart. Fast, friendly, convenient groceries in a couple of hours. What's not to love? Yes, I get that there is a markup, but, honestly, my first bill was actually less than I usually spend on an in-person trip because I didn't get sucked in by a lot of impulse items. Plus, you can see your total as you build your order - something you cannot really do in a store with a full basket - so it is a lot easier to stay within a budget. I love this app and this service and will definitely use again.

Living in an urban environment without a car and fifteen minutes walking distance from the nearest grocery store used to be inconvenient, but Instacart solves all of this - and in an affordable way. I use this all the time without issue. Friendly delivery folks, always on time, tons of choices for where to shop, and so on and so on (seriously, I can't rave enough about it).

On a couple occasions (again, very rare) I've had shoppers mess up several items that made a significant difference in my order, but their customer service responds, applies a refund, and throws in an added bonus for your troubles within 10 minutes of letting them know.

Normally grocery shopping gives me anxiety because there are too many options and I end up forgetting the things I need. I just started using this app and I am amazed with the accessibility and ease. They even give you an option of -if the store doesn't have "this" then what else would you like as a replacement.- I really like that because I was unsure how that would work. If you're the type of person who doesn't have time to get your groceries every week I would definitely get this app and get the express option that allows you to have free delivery for only $100 a year. Which when you think about it is how much gas you're spending going to the grocery store each week.

I've been using Instacart for about a year now. They have fantastic same-day delivery options. Some delivery windows are even 1-2 hours from the time of placing the order (depends on how busy they are). The delivery fees are normally very low, about $4-7. The main way they make money is by slightly increasing the price for each product you add to your cart. For the services they offer, I find this completely worth it. They also have exceptional customer service: if an item is damaged or incorrect, they will immediately follow up with you and refund your card (sometimes even throwing in a free delivery). Keep up the great work guys by staying true to your customers!

With 2 small kids and 2 parents working full time (opposite schedules) Instacart makes life less stressful. Like today, my 1.5 year old just got out of a 4 day hospital stay (darn RSV). I wanted to spend the day with my 5 year old whom I had not seen much of in 4 days and likewise my husband with the baby. Our Thanksgiving plans dramatically changed and we had no food to make a nice dinner for ourselves tomorrow. Instacart to the rescue! I order our special dinner we will make tomorrow night while nursing the baby to sleep. We are express members and absolutely love it. We order 2-3 times per week and feel so free never having to go grocery shopping again!

I used to love Fresh Direct--quick online shopping and quality products. They were e first to do it well. What I did not like about Fresh Direct was the prices and the carton boxes that would take me almost as much time as shopping to manage fold, etc. and just felt like such a waste.

With Instacart I get Fairway which is basically the same quality as Fresh Direct only about 30% less in price. No Boxes either, just easy bags. So basically I get Cheaper prices and easier--why on earth would I go back to Fresh Direct???? and actually from the earth perspective it is happier too because of less environmental boxes. Clearly Instacart is a superior service.

I tell everyone I know about it! You really can't beat same day grocery delivery and I love all of the options of local stores that they provide. The delivery people are always so friendly and nice and they do an okay job picking out the foods that I would take out.

I do wish they were able to solve the inventory issues though. They tend to not list everything that a store should have like for example the list has organic celery but not the normal option, so I have to do stuff like special order celery. Also sometimes the pictures get mixed up so at my local H-E-B if I order guacamole, the picture looks like a ham. Kind of makes them look a little silly.

I love grocery shopping and am also extremely picky in picking out items, especially meat and produce. But with a new baby, it's been much harder to find time to go shopping. I tried every delivery service I could find, and this is by far the best. Of course nothing is perfect, but I've used this service for the last 9 months once or twice per week and it's been a life saver. The very few times an item was wrong, customer service was responsive. And every employee I've interacted with has been wonderful. I definitely recommend.
As for the app, the only problem I have is that I can't add notes to an item - seems like that's only possible on the website.

We have a two year old daughter and a 6 week old son and this app has changed our lives.
Being busy parents of two kids, we just didn't have the time to grocery shop and ended up ordering in or eating out A LOT...which is time consuming and super expensive.
We started using InstaCart and we have never been happier with an app.
We have the deliveries come on our schedule and I am constantly adding things to my cart to avoid forgetfulness (mommy brain).
Then, when I go to check out, everything is already on my cart ready to go.
Love love love this app!
You need it if you have a busy lifestyle and want to use your time more efficiently.

I hate grocery shopping because of the hassle of lugging everything including my 2 year old. Instacart delivers straight to my 8th floor apt so I don't have to worry about stepping foot out of my apt at all. I love the free first delivery. There was something not completely satisfying about one of my replaced items so I was given another free delivery. Love the customer service and love the reusable bags that they come in delivered. I can't stop talking about this app with my husband, who also loves it because it saves him the trouble of carrying groceries as well. We have recommended it to many friends. Highly recommended!

I love Instacart because I commute by bike and need heavy stuff delivered. The app is really, really good. It's clean and works great and isn't confusing. They obviously put a ton of work into it, and on the other end the customer support seems to have really easy access to making changes and adjusting orders.

Instacart overcharges for products, but I guess that's part of how they make their money. It's not USUALLY too severe, but I do compare prices between stores when buying kitchen staples. Sometimes the same item is half as much at Whole Foods, in the app, even though I know that item's actual cost is very different.

This service is a lifesaver... I can't believe I survived without it for so long! I have a sporadic schedule and often have to do things last minute so I rely on Instacart regularly. I have never had a bad experience and the deliveries are always on time or ahead of schedule (and if they project they're going to be late they send you an alert right away and give you a credit for your next delivery - really professional). As for the rest, many of the options are the same price as in store, the delivery fee is super reasonable and I love the ability to track your shopper in real time... A fantastic company and app to boot.

I cannot express how much I love Instacart! They save us so much time and they cost so very little extra. We have used them for months now on more orders than I can count (at least 20-30). I visited my daughter out of state and was able to have special dietary foods delivered to her so she didn't have to worry about it. In all of that time, there was one mix-up where they did not deliver all of our items. Replacements were immediate and their customer service department was courteous and responsive. They reimbursed the delivery fees and gave us free delivery for the next time. AMAZING SERVICE - try it for yourself!

I have several disabling conditions that make it very difficult to shop for groceries myself. I've been using instacart for over 1.5 years and am glad to have it in my area. 98+% of my orders have been perfect. I've had about 2 or three orders where my organic fruit or vegetable choices were not good picks (i.e. a bag of potatoes had a few with a bad side on them...or not knowing how to choose a good melon). If I shopped for them myself, I would have inspected more closely, of course. But honestly 2/3 times out of I would guess a hundred plus orders (I order a lot), I am okay with it.

I highly recommend Instacart for people who are busy, for times when you're too sick to go out, or just generally. The shoppers have always been polite and helpful with me, and it turns out to be a great way to keep track of what you buy frequently. Ii love the "favorites" feature.
This is a wonderful service and a wonderful app. There are things I might change about it (the ability to easily compare prices between stores with certain items would be great, or a notice that another available store has something for less), but I haven't had any problems with the application. Try it!

This will little change grocery shopping forever, awesome, cool, and easy to use product. Biggest problem is that you can't order from multiple places under one order so you get smoked with three different charges for three different orders under $35 they should make the price proportionate to the size/amount of the order. Also, they should include a mapping system similar to uber's where you can see where your orders are and plan your day accordingly to ensure that you get there on time to pick it up (or direct them how to get to your place if they get lost)

When we can often find ourselves unhappy with customer service, Instacart is a remedy to that! All the shoppers I've had were friendly, efficient and delivered on time. I like going to Costco myself but this app is handy if I don't have time to shop. It's also great if you don't have a car but want to stock up. I've placed orders for my mom as well and she's had similar good experiences.
Yes there's a fee and tip but the shoppers need to be paid. Also, the shoppers will call you if an item is out of stock and let you know what substitutions may be available.

I happen to be totally blind, a food snob of the highest order, and lazy as the day is long. I have been called a princess a time or two. InstaCart, its service, shoppers and inclusion of Bi-Rite Market (in SF) is like a dream come ture. Only suggestions: update seasonal selections in the app as necessary and get the substitutions page to be more reliably accessible with Voice Over. It would be a bigger problem, except that the shoppers almost always call or txt from the store to check in about selection/substitutions. I Lovelovelove InstaCart!

This app was a heaven sent. I wanted to surprise a friend of mine in a different state and this app made it happen. It gave amazing options, very quick and easy to use, always attentive to let you know where you are in the process (shopping, delivered, etc). The personal shopper was great to ask questions or alternative options in case what I had ordered was out of stock. The shopper was amazingly punctual and made it a really wonderful experience for me and my friend. I love this app and will definitely use it as a main resource.
