The app is great especially while traveling for me in areas that I'm not so familiar with. For example when on the highway not getting suckered into high gas prices close to the interstate, but knowing if I go a mile or so in some direction to save sometimes quite a bit per gallon. Not to mention just when traveling knowing what's around more than signs. Like everything else it depends on people doing honest price updates, if that doesn't happen than, you just know where stations are and sort of kills the mission of the app.

I have been using this app for almost a year an it's real time accuracy is spot on. It's worse to have especially if everybody puts in accurate prices for everything. I like the price hike notifications. It does very well to help you find gas near you or plan your route. Whether you're driving locally in the metro area like I do in Chicago, or you're traveling on vacation across the country this app works everywhere. It's the one app in iPad that I've never had any issues with. Thank you very much gas buddy organization Inc.

Great app! If you're someone who has tried to use google maps, or other map services, to try and "quickly" find a gas station near you with the cheapest price this app is 100% for you. Can list prices or display a map of priced gas stations so you can quickly identify which station is on your way/closest, and has the lowest price. Tells you the amenities available, and also allows you to verify prices to build points - points can then be used to enter a raffle to win $100 gift certificates for gas, raffles happen everyday!

I absolutely love this app and I use it every time I get gas now, it wasn't so good when I lived in a town like Pooler, Georgia where there was only really two gas stations that competed with each other but now that I'm in Las Vegas and there's a lot of gas stations to compete with each other this app is very handy. I've noticed it makes quite a big difference getting top-tier gas versus not. This app has made me love Acro lol. The response time is amazing and I couldn't ask for better. Thank you all. I feel so blessed

This little app is so very powerful. Obvious you know when you need to start thinking about needing to fill up and with this app there is no reason you are not paying the cheapest per gal price. It is extremely helpful as you travel so again you can plan accordingly to get the best per gal price when you are needing to be filling up anyhow (or maybe it is just to good to pass by) that now you will always be well informed. This is amazing and so very helpful that everyone should be using it-tell your friends now!!!

I have been using this awesome app for years. It's great esp. when relocating or traveling.
Gas Prices reported are accurate and usually save me around $.10 a gallon if not more every time I fill up.
Finding the cheapest & nearest station and reporting/confirming prices has become fun!
It's cool to know you are helping others looking to do the same as you...save money on gas without having to aimlessly drive around to find the cheapest station. I won't ever stop utilizing this app! Keep it up...works great as is :)

Been a member for over 2 years and find it helpful on a daily basis. Have shared it with family and friends and even used it as a life lesson component in my classroom. It's truly amazing how much one can save by checking out local stations. I take that info and show others how much you could potentially save in a week, month, and year. I also love that it can assist me when I'm traveling out of state and indicate where the lowest price has can be found and how far away it actually is. Can't live without this app!!!

I started using this app randomly about 2 years ago. I've kept this app over MANY MANY others because of its reliability! It's truly 1 of the best apps. It's never not loaded while traveling, nor been inaccurate, and the fact that I can search different towns/zip codes comes in handy when looking for the lowest $, esp. when traveling bc you can go by your cars average mileage to find the cheap spots and get the app to give you directions there! Love this APP!! Plus it's FREE and no pop-up ADS crap!! A++ in my book!

I have been using this app for years now and it just keeps getting better! Conveniently find the lowest priced gas no matter where you are!! Gas prices are never older than a couple of hours, unless you're on back roads. Now they've even included challenges to make it fun! So tell your friends to download and have a little friendly competition while earning points and keeping everyone else aware of the cheapest gas spots! Oh and it's also good for traveling because it tells you what amenities the stations provide.

Long time user...this is a great way to find gas stations and prices.
It's a community supported app so it is only accurate if users are accurately submitting price info. Low prices that require cash or car wash can be flagged when submitted and will be identified as such. But, sometimes it's not posted correctly so be sure to scan the market to see if really low prices are in line.
Also, if you use it it is appropriate (polite) to update/input the prices you see.
It's easy to do while your filling your tank.

I own a business with multiple vehicles and since I found gas buddy I've been able to make smarter gas purchases for my entire fleet and save money.
You will learn by monitoring daily gas prices where to find the better deal, the savings stack up more and more.
The app also has a point and badge recognition system that gives the users a sense of identity within the gas buddy community.
I love this gas buddy app and recommend it for anyone who wants to save some money on gas while having some fun at the same time.

I've had this app for a long time and I've used their online website. It is a great app to find the cheapest gas around you, at a specific location, or on the road looking for a gas station.
I have used the online website to plan our gas stops when we travel. The map vs. list option is great to search for the gas station that is on your way home or to an unfamiliar location.
I've used GasBuddy for years and update the gas prices when I can to "help out" other users just like me. It's a great app and very useful!

After doing the math, it takes me about 1/3 of a gallon of gas to drive up the road 3 miles and back to get gas. Translated to money it cost me $1.20 cent in gas to go up the road and back to fill up. If the price per gallon of gas is less than 8 cent per gallon I actually loose money driving up the road to fill up. This app lets me know the price before I even start the car if it's better to fill up at the corner store or up the road 3 miles. ( twice this app helped me save .18 cent per gallon up the road.)

Bottom line, gasoline is a fungible commodity and it all comes out of the same pipeline regardless of brand. The major difference is the gallon of detergent added at the depot where the truck fills up, and this is what distinguishes the brands. So, why not get the cheapest gas from the busiest station? Gas buddy lets me find instances where top tier is within a few cents of warehouse club gas prices, allowing me to fill up with top tier when it's cheap, and use club gases when they are not. A win win.

I love this app and have used it for over 2 yrs. Now it's time for some upgrades: please allow search based on stations. Many users probably are members of a store loyalty programs like Krogers, Ingles, BP, Shell, etc. and want to search on those stations. I am located near three different Kroger stores and it always seems their prices are different. But I must put in the city to search for these different stations then scroll to find the station. PLEASE ADD ADDITIONAL SEARCH FEATURES!! PLEASE!!

I have only been using this app for a couple months but can tell you I've saved with it consistently. I travel with my job and my child's club team. Each time I need gas I not only check prices in the immediate area but will scroll the map in the direction I'm traveling. This has often allowed me to save 20-30 cents per gallon.
Personally I haven't even taken time to figure out what the "points" are for. The only incentive I need is saving $. Great App that all should use and contribute to.

One of those apps that save you money EVERYTIME you open it. I can't believe how much price gouging goes on in the world. There need to be laws set. When traveling, I have seen up to a 30 cents price difference in the prices. Now the 2 mile out of the way station is getting tons more business! The station 1 mile from my house is 30 cents higher for diesel, whenever I pass the station and see people getting gas, I just shake my head and tell myself "I guess those people don't have gas buddy"

A buddy clued me into this app and, holy cow, is it helpful. I was sitting at home browsing the app last night and saw many of the local prices were jumping up $.12/gal. Those gas companies are at it again!

I like to use non-ethanol gas and would like to see that noted on the app if possible to help me locate those stations. I use pure gas app for finding my non-ethanol stations, but have to jump between the two to find price and location. Would be nice if I could get both on this app.

I couldn't bring Gasbuddy up very quickly on Blackberry, nor get it to operate very smoothly or effectively. But on the iPhone (and iPad, for that matter), this app delivers like a champ. It's fast, accurate and incredibly useful. They need to do more to generate more "content" -- that is, encourage more submissions of gas prices from users, because my favorite stations are sometimes not listed at times when I am traveling nearby and might want to stop for gas. Overall, a great tool.

I love this app it is awesome, but perhaps a way to make it even better is to give alerts when gas will be going down. I noticed that we get email alerts when gas prices are going up hence "gas price hike alert," but I was wondering why not do the same for it going down? Save ppl some money by getting gas when it's high Vs knowing that it'll be going down the next day or so and getting gas then. Just an idea, would love to see it in the future. Hopefully you guys read these reviews.
