This is one of my top ten most useful apps. The idea of having public price reporting is a marvelous breakthrough, comparable to Wikipedia. Suggestions for updates: allow distinction between cash and credit; take account of travel direction when on the road. I find that, when prices are changing rapidly, I am amazed at how fast Gas Buddy keeps up to date.
I don't mind the ads. They don't interfere with the app's performance.

I absolutely love this app because I love to get gas as cheap as I can!!! I commute so I use it to find out if gas is cheaper at home or where I work. I live in a small town where gas stations are competitive. I like to report prices when one station drops prices so the others will hopefully follow suit and we can all enjoy cheap gas! The app is easy to use, even for the technically challenged. Get it - you won't regret it!

I love this app. It really helps people get the best deal on gas and It's fun to enter the prices, to help other folks. But it is disgusting to see how often gas prices can fluctuate on any given day ~ and sometimes several times throughout the day. And to see how some stations continuously overcharge by more than $0.50/gal., makes me still wonder how they can still be in business. But thanks Gas Buddy for a great app!!!

I love this app. It helps me out so much since I travel around a large territory. I am able to see if the area I am in is less than the area I am going to so I can try to save as much money as possible. The only thing I would like to see is the incorporation of the prices for ethanol free and ethanol fuels in the app if that location has those. Since I drive a FlexFuel vehicle, sometimes those are more economic for me.

Works well and has been an especially big help when traveling. I have an iPhone 6, but even with my old iPhone 4 I never needed an Internet connection to use the app. My cell connection always works, so I'm not sure what that reviewer's issue was all about. My only pet peeve is other users that only enter prices for regular gas - come on people, take an extra couple of seconds to enter prices for ALL grades of gas.

This app is always available when I need it, and is 99.9% accurate on the pricing. In the years that I've used this I've only had to update the prices twice. It's also very easy to use and can be a lifesaver - my boyfriend was running out of gas and needed to find a place QUICKLY but didn't know of any gas stations in downtown Dallas-because I had this app I was able to direct him to one less than a half a mile away!

I use this app a lot because I'm on the road most of the time for work. Finding the nearest gas station at a good price is very helpful. I love that people update the gas prices while or after they have visited the station to get accurate gas prices. I have never ran into any problems using this app. I also love the "Favorites" options when I quickly want to know how much gas is at the stations I typically go to.

I'm a home health nurse. Gas prices are a BIG deal to me. I discovered this app from a coworker of mine. I was setting a the pump filling up when I downloaded this app. I sign up and signed on while the pump was going... As the pump stopped I made my first GasBuddy search and what did I find. A gas station 1 mile away had gas $0.20 cheap per gallon... WHAT! 20 cents! Needless to say this app is in constant use now!

This app is as reliable as the people that use it. The price I see is the price I get ~95% of the time. I would love to see a few additional features in future versions, like a "cheapest gas en route" feature where you plot your destination and it tells you where the cheapest gas on your path is, and an option where users can input their fuel tank capacity, mpg and tank levels to find out what gas is within reach.

I drive about 40 miles to and from work every day. I also travel a lot. I like that you have the choice to sort by price or by distance. The challenges and drawings are interesting. I've saved a lot using this app. I really like that it doesn't limit you to what is close, I like that I can choose a location. It allows me to wait if I can get a better price in the next town. Super convenient! Love saving money

Since I wrote my first review the app has improved a lot. Finding gas stations and seeing their prices is pretty easy. Nice interface. Very easy to collaborate by providing updates on prices. Of course, this application is as good as the prices people enter, so please, whenever you fill up the tank, or see the prices on a gas station, please remember to update the prices of that station, it will help everyone.

This app is awesome! Easy to navigate and with great features. Someone said that the app "needs price alert"; e.g., when the gas was going to be cheaper... This app already has one. I traveled for Thanksgiving and the message kept popping up, "gas prices are expected to be lower in 3 days". I wish I could've waited... Very practical app. Thanks to GasBuddy team and everyone that report gas prices.

The users shall check with the gas station for hidden fees. I went to a gas station listed in Bakersfield for cheap gas. I had to give the cashier my credit card because the swiping machine was broken. I was charged $0.50 for debit fee after I filled up my car even though I used my credit card. Bottom line- best use this app for reputable gas stations when you do price comparison. No hidden fee surprises.

I've been using GasBuddy for years. If you drive set routes to/from work or school , you pick the station along the way with the best price, and 99% of the time, it's accurate. I truly hate getting gas, then seeing it a lot cheaper just down the road . You can also customize your settings to just report pricing for the stations and cities of interest, versus the great price that's 20 miles out of your way.

The app is for saving
$$$$$. There is no alternative to saving $$$ by locating the best prices!!!

I use it every day. Need a button to report gas buddies who enter incorrect prices. After xx number of reports, they are suspended. For the people having problems with the new version, uninstall it, reboot your phone, then re-install it. It u still have problems then report it to gas buddy support.

GasBuddy is a great App that has correct up-to-date gas price information nearly all the time. True there will be times that the prices change seemingly at a whim and the posted price on the App is no longer the correct one but that's the oil industry for you! On the other hand sometimes the prices are lower than what was posted! Regardless my wife and I use GasBuddy almost every time we need a fill-up.

Ive been in 1st place and 2nd place for months now in my area. I'm killing the competition and buying gas for the lowest price available. Cool, huh? Rock it baby!

I decided to download this app because I have a car now. This app is awesome! I love it!! It's accurate and saves me time driving everywhere to see what gas is cheaper and saves me money. In fact I'm able to buy gas and get a drink or snack since using gasbuddy. I also love the option to update gas prices and see others reviews. Super helpful and o recommend it too all my friends and family to use!

I appreciate this app, within what it's able to offer. Like, through this app I realized a chain around here tends to be the last to raise prices. It's not one I've ever used much, and I probably wouldn't have noticed without it showing up here. Can't think of anything bad about this app, and think some of the complaints I see in the reviews seem ignorant in how much the app can be expected to do.

I have had no problems that other users report about freezes. My only wish was to have a filter for only stations that are ahead. Simply filtering out stations whose distance is increasing will leave room for those ahead. If i am out of gas and need the nearest, then I can turn off the filter. 99 times out of 100, I will NOT go backwards to get gas, but am only interested about what is ahead.
