I sell in mercari mainly phone cases. For these small items it is ideal. For more expensive items there is always risk. No matter which platform you use. Ie. Amazons A-z claim... PayPal reserves

Mercari's policy of getting paid when customer reviews the item is the main objective of this app.

If you don't get reviewed you can message customer service on the third-day after tracking #s show delivered. Customer service then replies within 2-3 days depending on the volume of messages.

The app has evolved in the 6 months I've used it.

But it still needs more updates such as facilitating quantities on posts to show inventory v. Having to create a sales post each time you want to sell something.

I have made many purchases and sold many items from my closet on this app and I've never had any issues! I always got my money on time and my items as well. I guess I just always bought from legit sellers. The rating system helps a lot to pick out who you should do business with or not. I literally just had an issue with a seller sending me the wrong shade of an item that I ordered. I sent them a message and the following day the mercari team was able to refund me the cost of the item and the shipping! That's great service!! I know people are saying that Mercari never replies, but everytime I've messaged them about an issue I got a response about one or two days later. Give the app a chance!

I love how mercari handled a return I had to make due to a faulty item a seller sent me. She used terrible packaging For the MAC oh darling highlighter listed for $57. Those who are into makeup know that this is a $30-35 product but due to its high demand people have been price gouging. I was in tears when I saw that the product arrived shattered into bits and pieces. She didn't package it in a box or vacuum seal/bubble wrap it. I contacted mercari and explained them what happened and showed them pictures. They've advised me to return it for a refund. However the seller was being incredibly shady and tried to cancel the return. Luckily mercari was in my favor & offered me the total refund.

this app is amazing! i've made a few sales and although some users are lowballers & you might not get the amount you bought for, it's good to know that you got that out of your closet and maybe made some money on the side. great community and lovely people, for the most part! the team really makes sure that users aren't breaking the rules like spam advertising listings and things that should be and are well taken care of. my suggestion to the team is that it would be nice to get push notifications for comments/likes on your listings and listings you've commented on! i only get notifications when I'm on another app for when someone buys something or a buyer leaves a question. love this app!

This app has honestly SAVED MY LIFE (money making wise). It's so much better than the other shopping apps because they don't take any of your earnings away, and that means everything is listed for less! They're definitely improving it everyday already by making it easier and quicker to list items. But,the only thing I'd change is to be able to organize your listed items better. I want to be able to easily move my items on my page so that all the jeans can be together, and all the shorts, and etc. Then, people wouldn't feel the need to re-list their items multiple times and they could put their best items at the top of their page, and it would be overall easier for people to shop.

My store "Bathbomb lady" was a little scary to start at first being that when I first got on this app my first purchase was never received and although I got my money back my first impression was not a good one. After a while I figured I must have come across a bad seller and decided to give it another try by being a seller myself. I opened up my storefront and started selling handmade bathbombs and everything has been going great and my customers are very happy! Yes I'm ready to review all the while mentioning my store but everything here is true. I have decided to follow my customers and to shop from them as well being I feel it is safe to shop from them. this all app suspends you if you have a second account with the same billing address and bank account information since I have to account I have one oendeing transaction that's not even transferd till the 29 and I can't even long back to my account after deleting the app and for my second account I have a transaction that's not even half way completed by the buyer! and it won't let me log in I try contacting mercari and it doesn't even notify me wether if I'm going to receive a message back witching 1-2 business days so thiers really nothing I can do so if you do ever experience anything similar to this basically you loose and mercari wins! postmark

I really like this app. And i have switched from Vinted to Poshmark and now to this. Just wish this app had more brand selections and the option to show who follows you and the people you are following. Like twitter or instagram is. That way you can easily look up sellers/buyers! Also, you can be inspired to look up other people's followers/who they are following to get an idea of who they are into. That would be cool. :) Also wouldn’t get blocked/or any trouble with wanting to swap/trade with others would be nice. Also i wish there was an ISO "In search of" forum like Vinted has, so people can post what they are wanting. Maybe make a swap/trade one as well?

I'm for sure recommending this app and everything along with it. When I first found out about it, I checked it out. There was a lot going on (I was a little overwhelmed) with all of the different sections (electronics, women, antique, etc). After a while, I began to search for things I like and create my custom section of who I follow. (This makes it so much easier to find things you like). I have only made one purchase on Mercari, but it was great! The seller compromised on a price, and I got my package the next week. Yes, PayPal is a great feature because I wasn't comfortable giving them my credit card number. I recommend this for everyone to check out!

My first week using this app I made 300 dollars, i was sold there. A month of using this App and i still find it great. They don't take money from your sales it doesn't get better than that. Also they provide labels for tracking. Some people are there are scams but thats not true. If you follow the rules you would receive your item or money. Mercari does not condone sales/transactions off their app, so of you buy anything on paypal thats not their problem you have to follow their rules. Because with following their rules you have a smooth transaction. Anyways i think this is a great app and will tell all my friends and family about it.

At first I was very skeptical about it because it just seemed like a wannabe Ebay to me, but i purchased two things on there that I found to be really great deals. In fact a lot of the stuff that people post for sale on this app is really well priced! I just got my first package in the mail today, and that gives me a confidence boost about this app. I know i cam trust it now. And what is really nice is that the seller doesn't get paid until the buyer received the item and you acknowledge that you have received the package. Overall, really nice app, I'm really glad i downloaded, for sure will be doing more shopping on it in the future!

I'd have to say out of all the selling apps this has to be my favorite! They don't take selling fees how great is that! it helps a lot for college students! when they start doing fees they will go downhill haha but other then that they are great. everyone wonders how they make money but i think it's how many people sign up! I had poshmark & eBay & vinted.
mercari makes it easy to post your pictures. im glad they updated & made a cancel button! I think it's good keep it how it is don't change it! please

First of all, let me just say that these people saying there are scammers on this app, there are scammers on EVERY selling app but mercari will get your money back. This app is my favorite out of Poshmark, Vinted, EBay, etc. mostly because there is NO COMMISION. I have sold over 50 items on this app and honestly, I had had no problems with mercari, usps, yes but mercari isn't to blame. So, what I am trying to say is don't listen to these people bashing this app because clearly they have bought something from someone that has no ratings or didn't give mercari a real chance. Seriously I highly recommend this app for buyers and people who want to sell some things! The way I look at it, if I'm making space in my closet or apartment in general id rather try and sell it for $10 or so than just throw it away. You really have nothing to lose. Mercari has always been really great about pay out & giving me a rating to complete the transaction if the buyer has yet to do so. I've had an awesome experience and sold over 50 items and it's been great to have a little extra fun money from things I that don't get use from myself. All in all super awesome and I've had zero problems. I love it!

I'm sorry Mercari, but what were you thinking?! We can't use money from our sales to buy other things on the site? Why should I have to put in my banking information for money that I earned?! This needs to be changed & fast! So many people are deleting your app. It's an amazing app and you guys need to make it so we can use money we've earned from sales to buy other things on the app. Honestly, I don't wanna put in my account number and routing number and I know others don't want to as well. FIX THIS. Or I will be leaving and you will be somehow safely giving me the 35$ I earned, selling my item! FIX THIS

I have bought 2 purchases from this app 1 bad and 1 good but the 1 bad that I bought customer service helped me right away thats why I really love it now more I mean yah people try and sell fake stuff on here and say its authentic but thats why I do my own research before purchasing Its not the app fault that negative people try and scam others so I rate 5 stars because customer service is great and its a really cool app I usually always bought off ebay which also has people selling fake stuff but now I find myself always coming to the app now thank you MercAri for a awesome app❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love this site but there are a few things that could be worked on. For one, customer service needs to do a better job at responding in a decent amount of time and not giving copy and paste responses. It would be nice to speak to someone. Also, there are a lot of kids on here and it makes it difficult and they should be monitored by parents or be an 18 and over site. Lastly, they can be strict when it's not necessary. Many people sell fake products but then they pick on you for selling something and giving enough detail. But I really do looooove this site, by far the best sell and buy site out there.

I haven't had a problem getting my money as soon as the buyer received it they rated me I requested a wire transfer and two days later it was there. I'd like the tracking to be where we could just touch on it and see it and set of having to type the numbers in on some other site. And yes we should be able to use our earnings to buy on there. I like the fact that we can delete comments made by ignorant people. But I think you should be a little bit more police there's too many fake items too many young girls on there. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in high school. I love the no fees though it's great.

I used the mercari credits that try give you to buy a mini Bluetooth Mario Bluetooth speaker and I didn't believe the bad reviews I had faith and BOOM 3 days later I got it!! Super satisfied awesome speaker I just opend it today and I'm already using it so much I love this app I'm probably gonna get a lot more things this app is awesome if your reading this trust me it'll work just ignore all of the but hurt people trust me it works and no I'm not getting paid I'm only 11 years old so please trust me it works beautifly trust me

Why? Because there is no fees. I also love that you can ship the items on your own aside of them also providing pre-payed shipping labels (as long as you provide a tracking number) and now they have the option to be able to pay with PayPal. Only thing I don't like right now is the new update, it doesn't show the price when you click on the item I hope they change back to how it was with the price and shipping cost on the top left corner. Also customer service could be better if they had a phone number you can call to although I have been able to resolve most of my issues through the messages.
