Mercari: Buying & Selling Appの評価・口コミ・レビュー [iPad]

I've been using this app for about 4-6 months, I use to list on eBay and Mercari, but Mercari is so much better, and I mainly use Mercari now.
The four main pros are;
you don't have issues with people not paying like with eBay, to buy something you have to check out.
Second the postage is so easy just request the print label & they email it to you.
Third is the app is constantly improving, I'm an app tester for another company, and I saw this app in the early stages and it has improved so much, the bugs I have found haven't been critical and they fix them in the next release.
Fourth is selling is free! Well at least for beta release so that's amazing for sellers :)

The only negatives is you can only post 4 square photos which is quite restrictive when you are selling something, also buyers negotiate the price with you so you either have to say the price is firm or be prepared to give some discounts.
Option to add a brand and size would be helpful to the listings, and the title character count is too low.
Notifications also need to be improved for seller buyer messages so it's removed after a reply is received.

Also as a buyer the seller does not get the money until you say it's arrived and you are happy, so seller protection is there, but I'm yet to have a issue with a item that I've bought, so I don't know what happens if you receive something you're not happy with.

I don't know why this app gets so much complaints. I have had no trouble with it. I absolutely love it. Customer service has always been fast for me. The only thing I don't like is I can't sell my natural products like my handmade soaps. I think that's silly, but hey... I guess I still have etsy... Also the buyer that is complaining about her pants below on Oct 26th, she is my buyer. I told her the pants had no tag. They are authentic, they came straight from the manufacturing company. She even haggled me down to a ridiculous price, which I agreed to reluctantly. "Not having a tag" doesn't make pants lose their authenticity... get over yourself. But you can't please everyone I guess. LOL

Another thing is I ship a lot of gift items that may only weigh a couple of ounces at a time which any experienced online seller knows that USPS charges $2.04 shipping for a 1-3oz package. It would be really cool if there was an option for 'very light packages' because although free shipping is convenient for the buyer it's not so much for me, unless I'm doing multiple sales.

All I know is I hope this app stays free. I have only had it a couple weeks and I have already made a ton of sales and met some cool people. PLEASE KEEP IT FREE... Like, seriously people can we create a crowdfund or something to keep this app free??? I can seriously see this being the new eBay soon if they keep up the good work. JaDore'z Designz

Love mercari! I recommend it to my friends all the time. It's very user friendly, there is no fees when you sell something, and you have the option to ship free so customers buying from you can get an even better deal.
I've made well over $600 using this app since February 2016 just from selling used clothing.

As much as I love the app, I do have some recommendations for improvements:
1) better quality pictures. Most of us use iPhones or androids with high quality cameras, so there is no reason for some of the pictures to appear pixelated.
2) in the recommended section for buyers, items recommended should be filtered to the buyer. For example, their specific sizes should appear. There's nothing more frustrating than seeing something recommended to you, clicking on it, and then it being the wrong size.
3) a bump feature would be nice so we don't have to repost items to be seen.
4) sold items should move to the bottom of our pages so we don't have to either delete them or repost items around them. Customers don't want to scroll for an hour to find other items.

Other than that, it's a wonderful app and I've had no problems with payments! If you want a user friendly app that ensures you get paid with no worries, this is the one to go for!

I've purchased quite a few things on MerCari. I've bought from several different "seller's," & have had GREAT customer service. All the "seller's," I have dealt with have not only provided me with Great customer service but have kept me updated on my purchases & their communication skills are an A+++! They have been great to answer any questions I have (very quickly:) & have also given me great deals by "bundling," items for when they have "more than 1 item," listed that I want to purchase on the page. I would definitely recommend MerCari to anyone! If you haven't tried them out yet, than you definitely need too. Because it's not just a site to "buy," so great items at some good prices but you can also "sell" items that you have that you no longer want/need & make you some extra cash. In my opinion, an all in 1 site like this is great; its like being able to buy or sell things, ( like you normally would at yard sales) without the hassle of having to set up everything in a garage/yard sale & then having to put everything back up that you don't sale. MerCari is hassle-free & what could be better than that, plus whatever you choose to sell; the money will direct deposited into whatever account you choose.

Marketers should read all of Mercari's rules. Funds accrued from sales are released at the very end of each Sunday, and may be require a day or so to reach a designated bank account. Of course, that should not be a problem for sellers. The foreseeable problem, as with all online marketing apps, is based on buyer and seller honesty. I personally have encountered no problem with Mercari, and its service-relations personnel always have answered questions and resolved issues through written responses within 24 hours. As I have considered many ratings of other Mercari users, I have detected several that were not just. Either a buyer should accept or return an item; of course, then someone must pay for the return postage. We must remain cautious, of course, of buyers who would receive a parcel, and yet report it as missing, and I have encountered reports of loiterers who rummage through trash cans, and who have confiscated mail. Nonetheless, such rare potential problems could prevail through any online marketing system. Mercari is a reliable marketing system except for the fact that it relies on a wireless phone, tablet, etc., and cannot be accessed through a laptop or PC.

The customer service was non-existent before, and has really greatly improved. They take less time, and offer (in the one more rare instance I needed help from them) a solution that worked for both me and and the buyer.
Yes, there's small children on this app, but I can't totally blame mercari. In their terms and conditions, they state that you have to be a certain age, and I think it is legally too due to privacy data acts, so it's not their fault if these little kids are lying when they sign up and their parents aren't aware. All you can do is report it to them if they actually state they're 11 in their bio, etc.
I enjoy this app much more as a seller and buyer due to the no fee to sell that is currently in place, and you can sell more types of items than some other apps. I have had terrible experiences with vinted as a buyer and will never go back, and I haven't had that here - and I've bought more on here.

All I can say is give it a try yourself - if you follow the app rules (not rude, no offline transactions/trades) and don't try to sell prohibited items or create false listings you should be ok, and the service has lately changed for better.

I sold my collection here as a bundle and the buyer wouldn't respond to me for days after the tracking no. stated it was delivered. She has ratings but I started to think I got scammed since she don't want to release my money. I looked at the FAQs since it's my first time I've encountered this and they said after you asked the buyer to rate you and still won't after 3 days it was delivered, contact Mercari. So I did, the moment I woke up (today, the 3rd day (Sat)) I message Mercari and they replied with a robot message asking for my item ID. They even told me where to find it. After that I thought I'll have to wait till Monday since it says their customer service is M-F but now it's past 6 pm and Mercari just released my money. Which is so awesome! I didn't get a rating from the buyer though I rated her, but who cares I got my money and Mercari did something to get it done. Omg now I can totally sleep right and my dad will not ask me to stop selling the stuffs I don't want or outgrown. Anyway thanks Mercari, you just made my day. Keep up the great work.

I LOVE MERCARI! It is my favorite online marketplace. Don't allow these one-star ratings and negative reviews deter you from getting this fantastic money-making app. People who are bashing Mercari, (complaining and freaking-out about being wronged), should be embarrassed of revealing that they lied about reading the "Terms of Service" agreement prior to using Mercari (LOL). Mercari is being wrongfully discredited by those that assumed it was like Poshmark, Etsy, and etc. Mercari is much better in many ways. Money is made quickly and with less effort because items don't need to be circulated and you can sell more than just clothes. There is no need to make advertisements. The freedom to delete comments posted by others, choosing shipping fees, choosing who pays for shipping, and keeping 100% of the profit are my favorite Mercari features. Rest assured knowing that Mercari is not out to scam, steal, or give any (rule-abiding) person the boot. You will love selling and buying on Mercari; just be sure to READ and understand the TERMS OF SERVICE first.

This app is getting better and better. It's easy to navigate through, post listings, and buy. Not sure why so many people are not happy with it. It's the ONLY app that's letting you keep ALL your earnings!! Vinted and Poshmark don't let you buy with your earning either, it's not a big deal to me. Scammers are EVERYWHERE on EVERY app and in our everyday lives... We all know this! I haven't had any issues at all with wire transfers, orders or sales. When I had an issue with a seller not shipping a purchase, I simply contacted Mercari to cancel my order and it was done and my $ was put back in my account within 24hrs. This app is still NEW they don't have 1,000 workers, be patient lol. They are gaining hundreds of new users each day and I'm sure they are all trying to contact with the same questions/problem. Simple solution: READ the FAQ/HELP/TIPS This app is lots of fun, and addicting! I've made many sales and purchases successfully(:

I have had an absolutely wonderful experience buying and selling on Mercari and have made over 50 transactions, and more money than I feel comfortable sharing. I have contacted Mercari on occasion when I have problems that I cannot take care of on my own or that aren't answered in the Help Center or FAQ. I always wait a few days for a response. I don't mind because I follow protocol and therefore, they always take care of my inquiries and requests. Many people don't realize payout requests go through every Monday, as stated. So if you request a payout (direct deposit) in the beginning of the week, then it will obviously take until Monday to process, and a couple days to reach your bank account. For a free app that takes NO COMMISSION, I am extremely happy with Mercari. Minor improvements could definitely be made but I'm not complaining because they offer all of these wonderful things.... FOR FREE.

Whenever you can make all of your profit with a sale I cannot complain. But once this app decides to charge they will need to upgrade a few things, like being able to search for a user. I've told several people to search my name and they could not find me. The app should also allow you to add a brand because their brand options are quite limited. But nonetheless the app is super easy to use and I don't see how people use poshmark or eBay. I rarely make sales on those apps, poshmark's fees are extremely expensive. No comparison. As far as customer service goes every time I've emailed them about a concern they respond within a few days which could be a lot sooner but they still respond and resolve my issues. I have no idea why anyone would complain if you are a seller because you make all of your profit. Idk about buyers concerns??? But I will say this they need more traffic to the site. Even still I've made more sales in a few months here than on Posh and Ebay combined, sincerely allthingbling4u :)

Ive had BAD luck buying on this site. Every item ive purchased but 2 never shipped and the seller disappeared. It takes about 2-3 weeks for the site to contact you back, as they only have a very small team in the states located in CA. So my money get tied up in limbo, i dont get what i wanted, and then after so long you will start to get messages saying if you dont rate you buyer the seller can request Mercari to release the funds for an item youve never recieved.

I do enjoy selling on the site though, as youre not limited to clothing, shoes and accessories like many of the other selling sites are. However there are ALOT of scammers and ghost sellers on the site, so make sure you do your research and ask for as many pics and detailed info as you can get from the seller, and work with sellers with positive feedback!

If Mercari can work on their customer service and crack down of the scammers and replica items it has the potential to be a really good site...but until then use with caution.

TAKE AWAY FEDEX SHIPPING WAY TOO MANY SELLERS USE IT & FEDEX IS HORRIBLE

I've been using this app since May. I've LOVE this app because it is so easy to sell and ship!! I've sold about 20 of my items and made about $200 all together. I've ended up just using that money to purchase from other buyers on the app. I've bought high quality items like brand new Michael Kors watch for $100 and many VS stuff. There are scammers and people who over price their items but you have to look past them because there's tons of sellers who are just as good.

And I'm so THANKFUL that they brought back usps shipping. I'm an honest seller so I haven't had any problems. It's easier than apps like Posh and Vinted because your listings are displayed to where everyone can see them. It's not about how many followers you have and I love that! (So please don't ever make it an app like that & please don't take commission either)

We all want more sales right? Me and you both. How about there's a way to have a notification for things that we are in search of? So when people post something it would notify someone out there who might be looking for it. You can use keywords, hashtags and so on to accomplish this! It would be so cool to have that option instead of having people post "ISO" listings! Also there needs to be a way to look up other sellers to find their page easier. Those are a couple out of a handful of things that would make this app even greater than it is. I love this app and how it works. Also the 100% profit should NEVER end otherwise a lot of people would drop the app and move to other apps such as offer up, and poshmark. I completely love the security this app has too not many people can scam but people have found ways to try but this app always justifies the situation in the correct manner. Love it. Keep on doing what you do mercari creators you have many happy users!

(I really wish that posh mark employees or advertisers would bug off with their spamming in the comments and writing these false reviews. It's ridiculous. ) This app is amazing. I love that there are literally no fees! It's a little frustrating when you are trying to sell gently used stuff at reasonable prices and can't even make a buck off it because other apps charge fees for everything. With this app you get to actually make money and you're not forced to wrap it in "pretty packaging " of course I have had one or two people who caused trouble. But it's like that with any online service. There's some people who will never be satisfied. No matter how accurate your information is. They will find a way to complain which leads to funds being withheld. But it gets fixed. One thing I do recommend is if we didn't have to create a new listing every time we wanted our product to show up at the top of the page. Just a thought. :) anyway thanks mercari!

You just got to know how to use the app right and follow the rule right. I sold a few stuff there and I cash out easily. Yes sometime cashing out can take a little while if the buyer doesn't give you a rating but at lease they are not taking any % from your earnings like vinted and poshmark do. I think it's worth the wait. So far my experience has been great I only have one buyer who didn't gave me a rate and it took me about two week to get mercari to rate me but I got my fund and I'm happy :) pay out are on every Monday depending on you bank you sometime it take 3 day for you to see it in your bank but with me I always get my fund on time ever Monday I just cash out a week before and money comes in perfectly fine. You just need to know how to use the app right people are getting deleted and are giving this app 1 star are probably the one who is trying to get free credit and is cheating mercari or are scammers

I had never used Mercari before but my sister sent me an invite and I figured I would try it out. I love it! My first purchase was excellent, the seller was amazing, and the product was perfect. I definitely will be using Mercari again! Thanks for a great product that works great with Apple Pay and with Apple Pay refunds are very quick! I know this because of a shipping address issue that I did not catch until I had pushed the button to buy. In order for the address to be changed we cancelled the first order, so I could reorder it after fixing the Apple Pay address (this was because I had recently moved) - not the fault of Apple Pay, Mercari or my seller. I got my money back in a matter of minutes! They had covered themselves in case it took longer by indicating it could take up to 7 days, but with Apple Pay refund was back so I could reuse the money to repurchase. Awesome service all around.

Mercari is a great app for sellers and buyers. (I've only bought with credits) If you've ever been banned or trouble contacting Mercari or whatever with payouts/deposits, make sure that your name on Mercari matches exactly to the name on your linked bank account. I had like $30 in my balance not too long ago and it only took a few days for it to deposit.

Don't go complaining/blaming Mercari about how you bought an item and it never arrived or low quality/condition, because that's your fault. First of all, Mercari doesn't ship the item you buy, but the seller does. Mercari has ratings you can check on everyone's profiles, so why would you be buying from some sketchy person ok bruh lets be reasonable here. There's so many reviews filled with stupid things, bottom line Mercari is a great app that i've probably been using for a year now and have never experienced any trouble so ya.

People on reviews complaining are mad because they didn't play by the rules. This app does have rules and they can suspend you BUT as long as you go back and go by the simple rules u can make GREAT EXTRA CASH THATS 100% YOURS!! It is super easy to list and sell/or buy. All you do is have them move your money to your bank account! I sold on several other apps for years and this is the best by far. I have made money faster here than anywhere else! IT CANT HURT TO TRY BECAUSE IT IS FREE TO TRY AND NOTHING TELLS YOU BETTER THAN LEARNING FOR YOUR SELF!! No one paid me to say any of this. It is my honest opinion. And I DID GET SUSPENDED BUT ONLY FOR 3 HOURS. AND THEY TOLD ME WHY. SOME OF THE STUFF U CANT LIST IS KINDA CRAZY BUT READ THE RULES. THOSE OTHER PEOPLE HAD TO HAVE JUST KEPT ON AND ON DOING WHAT THEY KNEW WAS WRONG. SO THERE YA GO! If u can follow rules u will love it!

I sold on eBay for years and recently switched to this app. Although there is a few minor issues I think this app could fix its so much better than paying eBay fees!! I have made more money in one month using this than I did using eBay bc eBay kills you with fees. Not only does eBay charge you fees with the item you sell they are also charging you fees with the shipping cost too. I found I was paying more in fees than I was actually profiting on my items!! If I tried to raise my prices no one would buy and my fees just got more expensive. That being said, being able to sell in an app with no fees has been a godsend. I can give low reasonable prices and feel comfortable selling my items at the price they are worth without worrying about whether I'm going to get horrible feedback. It feels good to be able to earn what I deserve!! Thanks mercari!!!
