I have never written review before on Apple marketplace, but feel that this application is well worth my time writing.

I have an account with NatWest as well as an account with HSBC. I am a university student and I'm constantly needing to transfer money between my accounts to pay bills and work out how much money I can spend each week. With this new banking app it gives me the freedom to have my money spread across two accounts at one time meaning that I have only in my main current account the money that I actually need or want to use. In the past I have had my debit card cloned and all of my money stolen from me, with this mobile application I have only what is needed in my account at one time, The majority of the time my account is empty, but when I need money I know that all I have to do is login to this application and then it's at my fingertips. The only thing that I'm a little bit sceptical about is the security. In my opinion having an eight character password and only numbers isn't secure enough as anyone who knows me might potentially be a will to guess the eight numbers what I would suggest that the developers of this application do in future is to allow passwords of up to 32 characters with letters and special characters etc.

I have actually managed to persuade some of my friends to join NatWest to just specifically to use this banking application. Well done NatWest keep up the good work

The last update has re-introduced the Touch ID feature (so you can login with your fingerprint when using a compatible device), but sadly it won't work on jail broken devices, however, you can still log in with a passcode. It's a shame but at least they don't block jail broken devices completely like some of the other banks!

I've had no problems using this app and have been using it for years. Very occasionally (usually at night) it says service unavailable but I try again a few minutes later and it works.

Get Cash, the feature to withdraw cash without a card is now available again and is absolutely brilliant if you forget your wallet at home.

I like the way you only need to enter a five digit pin to login and you can now even use Touch ID (fingerprint) if you have a compatible device.

Functionality is slightly limited compared to "proper" online banking, however, it is now possible to do many things with this app and it gets regular updates with new features which keep making it better and better.

This is a very useful app which is definitely worth downloading - it has got to be the best online banking app and NatWest don't ban JB devices like other banks do. I look forward to even more features being added in future updates

Great update, previous version was limited and clunky, this update with transfers and all accounts available to view, including my mortgage and credit card is fantastic. Most of the other banks have no iPhone app at all. Good to see Natwest leading the way with some genuinely Helpful Banking. With this and the text alerts I should be able to avoid those accidentally overdrawn days! Fingers crossed!

Update: to all those complaining about having to sign up to online banking to use the app- what do you think accessing your accounts over the Internet on your iPhone is? Oh that's right online banking! Takes 5 minutes to apply if you have a debit card and one you've set it up you need never login from your PC again if you don't want to!

Also, to those who are complaining about not being able to view their accounts with other banks any more - why should NatWest invest time and money in an app for non-customers to use. Hassle your own bank for an iPhone app, it's not natwests fault they are behind the times...

I Updated to OS4 before downloading the app updates. Then updated apps and haven't had a problem at all.

This app's a really useful tool. Works best when in a wi-fi hot spot, but works slower when on mobile network. I've always had 'hang' issues as described below by others, but usually I try again in 5mins or so and it's fine. I think it may be due to 'busy' times, their system just can't cope! If you can deal with the hanging now n then, then this app really is helpful at letting you know just what you've got in the bank. Telling u if u can afford all the shopping u have in your Trolly at Tesco or the like!!
I wish there were an app like this for the other banks too!
Only downside is on the mini statement it doesn't tell you where the credit or debit comes from. NatWest please improve this and make it more useful still.

Having accounts with natwest and Barclays the use of mobile banking is more favourable to natwest as you don't have to remember a passcode just Touch ID which saves you time and effort. The display from text and app layout seems a lot clearer and less faffing about linking the bank apps to the apple watch. Barclays tells you to set a highest amount and lowest amount in your account but doesn't tell you your amount which personally seems pointless where as natwest is straight forward and simple as it is displayed for you now faffing about. Also natwest supports Apple pay Barclays doesn't. Why do you think I opened a natwest account in the first place.... Nothing but easy effortless banking through the iPhone and apple watch

Having tried many other banks' apps over the years, I still think Natwest is the best.

This current version is even better and I'm glad the Apple Pay prompt screen at the is finally gone as it was startling to get annoying. However, I've noticed that have swapped the bank account descriptions with name on account, so name is now in huge writing and type of account ie current account, loan is in small letters. It would be better if it was other way around like before - I don't need you to remind me of my name Natwest!

This update truly shows that Natwest listen to these reviews and that's why this is the best, most simplest and visually stunning banking app out there. Loving the touch ID integration however I would like the ability to enter my passcode WITH fingerprint enabled WITHOUT having to close down the touch Id pop up. So basically to have touch id on, running in the background, in the passcode screen.

Id also love if they got round to iPhone 6 optimisation!

But the app works great and I use it everyday, really really good.

I've been using this for a long time and this new update...wow! I can see now the direct debits on screen, obviously new Touch ID log in, you guys are doing a great job and I use this app every single day without fail and it has made life so much more simple where I can keep an eye on my accounts and any activity on the go. Excellent App. NatWest users with multiple accounts and business accounts you must have this app. I sure the new updates will keep making the App better and better in sure :)

It uses a passcode, or Touch ID which is way way quicker than entering a million different numbers in random combinations like the other mobile banking apps do. It's the easiest app to use, basically you can do nearly everything you'd want to do with online banking really quickly, check transactions, DDs, Standing orders, etc... Pay contacts, see statements, lots of things...
It also now offers the Apple Watch, so I can see my transactions/balance straight from that now, how cool! Lol :)

I have 2 business accounts and have been forced to use this app now that they are stopping the business app which I liked very much. I read a lot of the reviews saying that people can't access multiple accounts, I have 2 linked business accounts and can access both of them just as I used to be able to with the business app so for me there are no problems with the switch. I like v much that can use Touch ID to log in with - saves a few extra seconds and is an improvement ✔️✔️

It would be great if I could add a note to the transactions. With payments through PayPal it's hard to keep a track of the transactions as you have to go back & forward between the apps to see which payments relate to which transactions. If you could add a note to show what the transactions are at a glance would be so much easier. Especially in the days of online banking. I have to print my statements out so I can note down what everything is.

I hope this is a good suggestion.

I've been using the NatWest mobile banking app since its first incarnation and it is simply fantastic! They have continued to improve it over time and introduced neat new features such as Touch ID to make the experience ever more seamless and easy to use.

What I would like to see next is the leveraging of the latest hardware built into the iPhone with Force Touch functionality to speed up mobile transactions even more.

Much better than other mobile banking apps by far!

Finally getting rid of putting in your password and using the fingerprint. Using the iPhone what it's designed for. The new format on the iPad works really well.
I think next step on iPad/iPhone when buying online unstead of using the three digits from your password fingerprint me up baby. And of course Apple pay, saw it in use in the states, we are virtually there with contactless, and of course the apple watch with close release.

Travelling with an iPad the previous versions have been near on useless. FINALLY, they have got their act together and created a nice, clean, beautiful app that doesn't only seem to work seamlessly, but now actually makes full use of the iPad screen, providing me with much more information, scrapping the crappy 'account summary' and replacing with the much needed 'previous bank statements' to match up with the iPhone version. Hurrah :)

The details & functionality of the Natwest app. is awesome!! Different types of graphs to show all types of transactions is just so easy to read & so obvious its surprising to me why no-one has done it before! Click on the direct debit key next to the graph & all your direct debits for that account come up on screen, it's just so intuitive! Other banking apps., I'm afraid you need to catch up & add a few features to your app!

After many years as a First Direct customer, this app is a joy to use. I used to call FD as it was quicker to get through to customer services and make a transaction over the phone than it was to launch their app or use their ageing website. The NatWest app is a breath of fresh air - intuitive, clean and works perfectly. Day-to-day banking should be simple and NatWest have figured out how to do it well. Good work!

Read all reviews from here on in, natwest have updated and finally and caught up to other banking apps. You can automatically see everything now a clear list of direct debits and separate standing orders. You can pay anyone form any bank now not just Natwest to Natwest. And it's soooo much quicker than online banking and secure!!

As an HSBC customer for many years I was tired with the drawn out process to login on a mobile app. The NatWest app is as simple as using your fingerprint to log into your account. One press of a finger and your in. Many transfers can be done easily without hassle of phoning them or using another security device. Finally, a bank that makes life more easier following the times.

Great for simple things like checking your account balances, checking your statements, controlling DDs and transferring money between accounts (whether your own or other people's accounts). It's really easy to do all of these things too so convenient, especially for those that like to know their balance at any point in the day and don't want to use/can't access a browser.

This app is very good, as a partially sighted person who uses this app regular it would be easier if you could increase the words appear on screen even have a talking option that reads out what is on screen.
It is very simple and easy to set up a standing order through the app as well.

Any improvements for Castle excited customers you could make would be appreciated.
