Matt my installer gave me top-notch customer service showed up on time and make sure I thoroughly understood the system before he left. Excited to use my new system I did so there happened to be a tiny glitch in which one of my motion detectors was programmed as a door alarm causing me not to be able to use the stay mode. So I called customer service and was helped by Renée who transferred me to Kayla and technical support and she was very kind and excited for my new service I give her five stars as well. She was able to fix the problem remotely within seconds. I love the touch screen technology that gives me weather updates and all the features accessories that come with the system! Which include door, window and motion sensors and also the app for my iPhone that allows me to arm and disarm the system from wherever I am it also sends me text updates if of these features are activated! I am one happy customer I feel safer than I ever have and would recommend this product to everyone I know you cannot beat the price for the all the service you get!

This is one of the most 'functional' apps ever! I have, occasionally, left home ... or gotten in bed, without setting the alarm -- this app allows me to set it without an early return home or getting out of bed! I absolutely LOVE this app and would recommend it to anyone with a compatible home security system. We have had NO problems with the app. Although the arm/disarm cycle was a bit sluggish, initially, that 'problem' seems to be resolved -- especially when arming from inside the house! We live in MS, and have accessed our system from as far away as CA, with only a few seconds delay -- I've waited longer for the 'tone' to leave a voicemail!
We have recommended this app to others and expect to continue doing so. We are, and have been, exceedingly pleased!

The Frontpoint system just works from over-the-phone configuration to DIY installation. We were not planning on using the app, but gave it a try. WAY impressed! We love the remote arm/disarm feature and log report. The log report, by the way, helped us to identify the sensitivity of the motion sensors while the system was disarmed so that we could figure out the best placement to avoid false alarms when the system was armed. In the first six weeks of the system I have triggered two alarm events (my clumsy), and the Frontpoint response has been spot on - one time reaching my wife in Hawaii because I had triggered the alarm here in L.A. and was on a part of the property where I couldn't hear the alarm. So far, we can't recommend Frontpoint and the Alarm app highly enough.

This app is basic, but works well. It doesnt have all the features of the actual website ( which you can still log into from any device your using app on) but it has the basics. I dont think its designed to be everything, rather its a fast way to arm, disarm and see what sensors are open, who accessed system etc. it eliminates having to log into website, navigate around, to simply arm or disarm system. Now they have a password to access app which is great. Bottom line its basic but gets the job done. And the price is great...free!
I must add what some others said. The app should have an emergency button, fire, ems. If your in yard, away from panel etc it would be nice to be able to summon help easily or scare off potential intruder from yard, down block etc.

Not sure why there all these complaints. History is located in history tab pretty simple. I logged in and I am in arm disarm right from my iPhone 4s is great. I get a real time status of where I left my alarm. The app is great very interactive. One thing would be nice is to be able to update notifications through the app. If that's there I have yet to find it. I did see the push feature but I am not sure your dev understands what push is. It says if you enable push your able to turn on specific notifications but push is actually a notification. So maybe change the wording to change push notifications or edit push or something like that would be great. All in all great app

We recently installed our first alarm system after several neighborhood thefts and peeping Tom scares. I love that you can arm the system from the app without having to be anywhere near your main control. If I'm lying in bed and hear a noise outside, a quick check on my phone gives me peace of mind. The only thing we don't care for is the very loud beeping for 30sec after you arm the system. If we're not leaving and just arming the system for the night, or rearming the doors after taking our dogs outside, it does get annoying having to hear the whole process every time. Overall though, one of the best decisions we've made!

In the past I have had issues with it either not disarming when the app says its disarmed or sensors reporting the garage door is closed when I am looking at an obviously open door. So I questioned its accuracy. I check the app for status, but always in the back of my head to this day wonder if it's really telling me the truth. That's not a good thing. Is it an issue with my cellular provider maybe, I don't know.

I did say "in the past" because luckily this hasn't happened in a while so maybe the app has gotten better or my carrier is has improved. Either way I am happy with live watch and this app now.

This app is awesome and the updates to it are super useful! It's intuitive and simple to use and let's me control many things in my home that I use on a daily basis - security system, a thermostat, a lock and a few lights! It's really nice to be able to control all of this no matter where I'm at!

Also, I've seen a few reviews from people whose app doesn't seem to be working correctly, it probably has nothing to do with the app and they probably need to call their security provider to get help...

Anyways, I highly recommend this app!!

The new app is great. I've had the alarm for over 2yrs now and the app is how we activate and deactivate our system. It's much easier to do it before we walk in the door with arms full. The alerts let me know what's going on at home and keep my mind at ease. It's also very useful when I would like to adjust our thermostat without getting up out of bed...yes sounds super lazy I know but when you are 8months pregnant it really does come in handy. I recommend Vivint not only for their system and app but for their customer service as well.

They respond to our reviews of Silent Arming so quick! The team is amazing. Arm/disarm my system is much faster, lock and lights are faster as well. I've never seen any network error issue. Last review: this app is totally different that the old one. I didn't realize it was updated. I was shock when I open it. It is awesome design. They added lots of features and fix bad things. They do really listen to what we said. I am able to access my lights and lock more easily from the main screen. Can't say how great it feels.

This App is grand!! Even when you forget to arm your system before you leave the house, you can still do it from 50 plus miles away. Also, the company kept on monitoring our system even when a blunder took place and our account was mistakenly cancelled. The App is easy to use and is loaded with built in help features. I am not a company employee and anything as such. I am an actual client of this company and an actual user of this App. One of The Absolute BEST App and Company on the market, let me tell you!!

This is an amazing app that works like a charm. This gives you direct and complete control over the security system at your home, or multiple homes. We use it to turn off the system when we get close to home, but more importantly to turn on the system if we leave but forget to arm it. This makes my phone a master controller for all home security. You won't be disappointed with what this will do. I highly recommend it for giving you another level if control and another level of peace of mind!

The different reviews would lead one to wonder if we're all using the same app...
The user, the phone and carrier, the different systems, and location differences must play a big part in the success, or lack of, of the app.
I live in Hectorville OK, use an iPhone 5s, and get VERY poor service, through AT&T, inside my home. Yet, the only hitch I ever have in the functionality of the app is, occasionally, if I'm parked closely, right in front of the garage.
Otherwise, the app works spot on.

The app is very intuitive and has worked very reliably with my installed system. About 98% of the time commands I send from the app are executed on the system in 5 - 15 seconds (arm/disarm, door locks, thermostat). Every now and then there's a delay and it might take 30 seconds. Exception is the "peek in" on the image capture - it's inconsistent and can take from 30 seconds to a couple minutes before the image shows up in the app. All around very solid app.

Absolutely awesome. Service from first contact all the way through installation was straight forward and up front. The system exceeds all our expectations. Continues to operate flawlessly. The system is very user friendly!!!!!! Absolutely love being able to assign unique codes to family and friends. This feature and being able to monitor who comes and goes is a must at our lake house since we are not always there. Recommended very highly!!!!!

I came across the writing a review for this app, and decided to write one because of all the negative things being said. The system is very good and I've never had a problem with it I can Arm The system from my car, my office and when I'm vacationing. I installed the app on the iPhone 6 and it works perfectly fine all the time. When the maid comes to clean the house she calls me and I turn the alarm off. No hassle, no mess and everybody's happy.

This app is very easy to use. The only times I've had issues with connectivity is when I'm in an area with bad cell reception. I use the video feature primarily to check on my puppy. Does what it says and has a very friendly UI. Appreciate that the iOS app can require the fingerprint security measure to ensure I'm the one using the app. Suggestion for a future service: incorporate talk functionality, would be very helpful.

It would be nice to have the biometric access on the Apple iPad Air 2. Everything else is fantastic! Also, I have noticed that on one of my systems, when I go to arm, it asks if I want to bypass open sensors. Yet, on my other system, it does not allow me that option. Any help in the matter would be appreciated. "Bypass-able" system is a Networx panel. "non-bypass-able" system is a Simon XTi.

The app is great! I did learn the hard way, it has to have a signal to communicate with the panel but due to placement of keypad and the old 2G signal plus interference. I added a panel inside of my garage and it eliminated the issue. That was 2 years ago. As of today the panel was upgraded to 4g free of charge by our Alarm company for better signal and future compatibility.

This definitely comes in handy when I need to let people in my home. I left the key in a lock box but used the app to disarm and arm my alarm after contractors worked in my home. It's also nice to be able to check the video feed throughout the day to see what's going on and also check on pets. Highly recommend this to anyone else who has or is thinking of getting a system.
