I Never Write More

about an app than two words. Something like "Great" for the title and "Enjoy!" In the body. And that's only if I actually like the app. I can however proudly boast that I have been faithfully playing tsto since the first Halloween update in I believe fall of '11. I can count on my two hands the number of days in almost five years I have not played. Kills any other build-it grow-it fight-it buy-it destroy-it catch-it...and so on you get my point. Tapped Out is WHY everyone now knows the ad dollars are in Freemiums. And we don't even need to deal with BS ads! I digest. I've lovingly built my town from the ground and mercilessly wiped it (twice now) as I've weaved through last-day event rushes and saving donuts for fav characters just realize it was time to decide between two-or-three deal breakers. I remember the crashes in the early days, the "tap homer 15 times" for donuts trick (IT DOES WORK KIDS), scanning fb for strangers to befriend in Origin, for no other reason than to have more "(won't you be my) neighbors." Krustyland, Boardwalk,,,...I could tap away all day just on this review. The game-makers here have managed to successfully stay fresh and competitive among all the great freemium games to be launched within the last few years, through the duplicators, the imitators and haters. It's a game that has adapted, yet not lost sight of its original format, layout and particulars we've grown to know and love. Kind of like this TV show I know of...

Tapped out

The best kind of game I played except need to do something with the money you have to spend! and to many updates! Ok this is fourth time I tried to write a review, hope you post this? I'm at the level where you got to update Bob? I read the updates with the problems! I have spent way to much to loose it all! already noticed it blinks off & on also you tap something on game and it slides all over!?? I got a I Tune gift card and never got it and person showed me receipt !! I also purchased a three wheel motor bike and it disappeared ! something showed up in game like a purchase than was gone but I was charged! I already used 3 different cards as I've been charged for something ( WHICH SOMEHOW YOU NEED TO LET US SEE WHAT WE PURCHASED) so now I cannot open game till I pay for who knows what?? The higher levels you get to the more you got to spend? Give us a break? Something's have to be purchased to finish a level now! Why can't you open a friends list for just TAPPED OUT ? That would give everyone a chance to earn credits? I really liked this game !! But it's turning into a BIG MONEY MAKER FOR THE PRODUCERS, even though it's free! Please open my game I'll pay as always on pay day!! and would like the 3 wheel motorized bike I purchased back ! Be nice if I could get MY CREDIT from gift card that someone sent me too! I feel really bad for the ppl. That paid out a lot in this game! Seen it doing a neighbors help?? PLEASE FIX THESE BUGS & give us a break!

STOP. MUST READ AMAZING REVIEW

Let me just start off by telling you why this game is horrible. First of all, is the gameplay. It's so incredibly simple that even a child could do it. Each task for each character is so easy to do and collecting the rewards has never been easier. The humor in this game is terrible. All the classic fun-loving jokes you know from the series exists in this game and you can't tap on a character without them saying something funny. And oh my god the design! It's so well done that it looks like you're actually in a Simpsons episode and the tasks that you give Homer or Moe or Principal Skinner are all unique to their own personal character that it enhances the episode feel even more! And the rewards just keep coming!! Even the small tasks give you a huge reward so you're never disappointed. Now I know what you're thinking. "Well all of this sounds totally awesome! Why wouldn't I want something like this on my phone at all times?" Why? Why you ask?! I'll tell you why!! Homer Simpson said it himself! THIS GAME IS LIFE RUINING! Say goodbye to your social life, your family, your work, EVERYTHING you hold dear to your heart, kiss it goodbye. This game has so much to offer and way too many things to keep you occupied that you'll never want to put it down. If you value your soul and the souls of others, YOU WILL NOT GET THIS GAME!! Please! I'm begging you! It's already claimed me! Save yourself and spread the word before it's too late!!

Still My Favorite Game

iPad3Game
Looking for new friendly Springfield friends. I play this game nearly every day, and have been for upwards of two years. I’ve spent over $1000 on this game so I’m not going away any time soon. Interested in Origin friends who play Tapped Out The Simpsons almost every day as well because I will interact with your city which helps both you and I with bonus stuff. If you stop playing for a period of time, say a week to a month, I will unfriend you so I can add friends that continue to play. Obviously, I love this game! It is my favorite game of all time. Of course there are a few things that make me go grrrr, but it is a very sophisticated program. They continue to fine-tune the game all the time. There are companies that do nothing but build this game and make it better every single day. There are customer support personnel that will help you out if you are experiencing problems with your gameplay. When I contacted Customer Support for Tapped Out via Origin Online, I got a response in about two days and they apologized as they were quite swamped at that time. They continued to talk to me via chat until I was happy. The customer service person was very friendly and also played this game a lot, which really helps when you need technical support! It is amazing with how many characters I have in my Springfield and that I think I can name them all! D’Oh!

Build your own Springfield!

The Simpsons Tapped Out (TSTO) is a great game! The developers draw on The Simpsons sub-culture and the embedded humor is all across the spectrum from outright LOL to "Hmmmm ... I gotta go look that one up." All your favorite characters are part of the game, plus a bunch you've never heard of (unless you're the resident Animation Historian for Fox). Next door Neighbor-eeno Ned Flanders, Apu's Kwik-E-Mart, Moe's bar, Mr. Burns new Power Plant ... They're all part of the game.

Your job is to rebuild Springfield from scratch after a (Homer caused) nuclear melt-down wipes out everything. The individual tasks range from 6 seconds long to 3-day construction on some buildings, so you can be tapping on-line 24/7 or you can set tasks and let it percolate for 4 or 8 hours. You can spend a lot of money on Premium buildings and characters, but you can also get a ton of "Freemium" stuff. In fact, I think it's more fun arriving at a destination when the journey takes longer.

The best part of the game is the rabid TSTO fan base with their own websites, discussions, tips & tricks on playing the game. Google TSTO and you'll find any number of Blog sites you can join or just read. Some crazy folks out there ... The worst part of the game is the occasional lack of connectivity with TSTO servers - not a deal breaker, just annoying, since there isn't any option to play off-line.

My favorite game that I have ever had on my phone

Simpsons is a fun and easy to learn game. It has a high replay/continuing play value, that can cater to the time line of your day. A "play" and "set" kind of game.
Let me start by saying, I enjoyed The Simpsons when I was younger, but don't really watch it very much anymore. I love Futurama, immensely, however. So, I'm not a fanboy of The Simpsons, but EA did a good job with this game. It's a Sim game but not as complicated. You build houses and stores, which earn you money and XP after certain wait times. You unlock characters by building, and you have those characters from the series do tasks which earn money and XP. No need to worry about "taking care" of characters or things; It's not that type of Sim! They update the game regularly with new seasonal quests which can unlock special characters and/or alternate costumes for people and things.
You can have characters doing tasks while you work an 8hr shift, so when you get a break or leave it's ready to check. Then, it takes 60 min to get home, so you set things in motion and forget about it until you get home.
Control is simple point and tap. Some sliding of the screen as your Springfield grows. They offer in-game micro transactions, but I have not bought any. They offer enough "as is" to keep me interested. But for the fans, I could see how it would be beneficial. All in all, a great game!

Suggestions

I love this game! I do have a few suggestions to enhance the game. How about being able to send gifts to your friends and communicate somehow with them also. Maybe leave a sign post with a personal message.
I have been playing this game for 1 1/2 years and I wish for some other changes too. My biggest complaint is about earning donuts. It takes a insane amount of donuts to be able to get anything that is outrageous. I play this game on my iPad only. I do not have a smartphone. I can't be on my iPad all day. Mornings and evenings are the times I play. Maybe you could put more chances of winning donuts in the game. For instance; Springfield Downs you could win donuts instead of money. How about more than 2 donuts when you level up? I am at level 56 and I received 2 donuts. I have purchased many chances at the Kwikie Mart and have won donuts. You should be as generous with your donuts as I have been with my money. I absolutely love this game! I play because I have been a Simpson's fan since day one. It is the sarcasm I enjoy the most. I will keep playing but it would be great if you could give on your side a little more. When I visit other Springfields, I know people are spending lots of money. I don't have that kind of extra money to be buying donuts, but I would like a chance to earn more or win more. Thanks anyway for the best game!

What the heck

Ok before anything I write possibly gets twisted or taken out of context, I must say I absolutely love this game. In a good way I'm addicted to it, one might say. I play everyday. NOW with that being said, I have been playing this game virtually since it game out. I don't mind that the game poses you to have extreme patients with things or that some of the stuff in the in-app purchases seem some what over priced..BUT the quickie mart scratch off, now I play it everyday and been for since it started and it shows the Hatchet w a $3000 reward...I have been playing everyday, as noted since the game came out and not once EVER won that prize..Ive always won all the others BUT that one..2ndly the dog races..I understand the concept of betting and you win some/you lose some motive..but as well I have played that as well since it came out and won once, while with my bad luck streak with the scratch offs well, Ive had 3 different friends win the big scratch off multiple times as well as the dog races...maybe it's no ones fault, and I dont blame anyone.,maybe Im also just having badluck thats lasted since the game started...but if the powers at be, read this and can do anything to help a guy down on his luck, the nudge will be greatfully appreciated :) even if not, Im still going to be playing the game..Thank you.

Tap-Tap-Taparoo

I, like the person a few people below me have not experienced any issues with The Simpsons Tapped Out game. There was one time long ago when I panicked thinking that I had lost my Springfield and noticed "play anonymously" on the screen. I of course made an EA account to be able to sync my Springfield onto their servers to keep it safe. So once I had the opportunity, I just signed back into my EA account and my Springfield was just how I left it. Updates may cause the following to happen.

1) You may get logged out of your Account. Make sure that you sign back into your EA Account after an update of the game
2) You will get prompted to enter your age again as well
3) Don't Panic.. If you see something isn't right, make sure that you didn't sign in Anonymously. You will be able to tell this if A: Your Springfield starts over or B: You don't have any Friends (unless you don't have friends in general then the wrong Springfield should be your key sign) All you have to do is go through the first few quests and then you will be able to tap on the "Friends" icon like you're going to visit other Springfield's. Once you see this screen, look for the "Login" option and use the email address/password you used for your EA Account. Best of Luck to everyone.

Still Awesome!!! Got some ideas.

I've been playing this game for almost two years. I've been addicted since the Halloween 2012 event, and I write a review every few months so people can know whether or not I still love this game. While I absolutely love this game, there's a couple characters that I've thought of that might make well for future levels.
A) Artie Ziff- Marge's millionaire stalker, for those who don't know. We could build his mansion and have him continue to envy Homer and pursue Marge.
B) Russ Cargill- For those who haven't seen The Simpsons Movie, Russ Cargill is the head of the EPA and was the antagonist for the movie. His intentions were to clean up Springfield, but his approach was evil. We should file him under villains and give him a plot to try to overtake Springfield... again.
C) Jessica Lovejoy- Bart has had quite a few love interests in his day, one of which was your typical "Preacher's Daughter"; a manipulative evil who hides behind a "good-girl" act for her father.
D) Steve Mobs- If you've seen the episode "Mypods and Boomsticks" (Season 20), then Steve Mobs is a need. He's the CEO of Mapple Co., and clearly a parody of the late Steve Jobs. We already have Mapple Store in the game, but why not introduce Mapple HQ with Mobs as the Character for it?

Spectacular game!

I love the game. I think it's amazing. But, I think if you add and change some things, it could be even better. Like, after the whole Monsarno event, you start up a EPA event with Russ Cargill just like in the movie. And add some new buildings from the movie to go along with that. Also, I think you should change the fact that all the things you can buy from Terwilligers are premium and need donuts to be bought. Since I really want It's A Wonderful Knife, and I'm sure others do too, but it's 150 donuts. Normally, I'd just pay the $10 to get 132 donuts to add on to my 32 I already have to get it. But I don't even have $0.99. But, I have over $300,000 so if you could just change that building from premium to money, and have it go at around that price, I'm sure players around the world would be ecstatic. And one more thing, how come Sideshow Bob and Cecil talk? I mean, Sideshow Bob has a big, well kinda, big part in the show as the biggest criminal around and is always trying to kill Bart. So shouldn't he talk? I don't know. Maybe there's s reason for it, but in my point of view I think she should talk. But the game is already spectacular, and add and change these things, and it'd be incredible!

"I love this game!"

Pretty much all of the major characters are there, and some of the minor ones are starting to be added, too. The sound bytes, constant new additions, and holiday games are great!

There are some additions I would like to see. But I know of no other way to communicate this to the game makers other than through these reviews:
1) Rev. Lovejoy's wife
2) The one eyebrow baby
3) Stampy the elephant has jobs, so Santa's Little Helper and Snowball 2 should also have jobs. For instance, Santa's Little helper or could run away to Mr. Burns house, visit the vet, and play with Bart. I would like to also see a few additional jobs for Stampy reminiscent of the episode that starred him: take advantage of Moe's complimentary peanut policy, eat at the arboretum, run away from the ivory dealer, rescue Homer, and rescue Barney.
4) Incorporate Maggie as an independent character with jobs. Use the pacifier sucking for her sound effect.
5) Make Sideshow Bob an independent character with jobs. Players could still "catch him" in their friends' Springfields.
6) Incorporate voice sound bytes for Fat Tony. It is silly that his sidekicks speak, yet he does not.

Thank you, and keep up the great!

I want to buy Homer more pink frosted sprinkle don

I have been playing Simpsons Tapped out ever since it was released. It stays true to the Simpsons' world!
The characters stay 'In Character'.
The only 'gotcha' is needing to buy more pink frosted donuts with sprinkles whenever you are either in a hurry to get a house or other building finished in 3 seconds or, worse, having to pay something like 150 donuts to get 'The Crazy Cat Lady House!' Saving up your Simpson bucks for the big-ticket items takes about 7 to 8 days if you have a full town (Level 35 and up) and you give all the people 24-hour jobs and you play this once a day. I bought the 'Escalator to Nowhere' (very cool with people riding up and dropping off into a hole); however 'The Sunsphere' was kind of a rip-off to be honest (because it does not glitter and shine like I expected it to). But now Origin has a new option available. If you get tired of the way your town is laid out-you get to blow it up and start over again-but you keep all your purchased land, ocean, and all the characters and items are stored in your inventory. This is a truly sweet game with the voice-overs and special character storylines.
I feel like moving right in to Springfield now!!

I love this game! I love all the updates, it keeps the game fresh and exciting. Yes it may crash here and there (once in a blue) but EA ends up sending me 15-40 donuts due to the inconvenience. The crashing is not to the point where I'm going to rip my hair out and never play again. As for space , it does take up a lot of it, but again I won't go bald. My solution to everyone who is complaining, is to simply update their iPhones to the 6 with a LARGER MEMORY... You won't have to delete your apps/pictures/videos/etc. But one thing I partially agree on is trading money earned in the game for donuts

Awesome update!!

I have been playing this game since the very beginning, been through all the growing pains and glitches and even that terrible Easter disaster (the bitterness and ptsd is fading, lol). Thank you so much EA, Fox and Gracie Films, this has got to be hands down the best game ever! Superheroes was my favorite but I have a soft spot for whacking day. I feel bad for people that lost their games, in the beginning of this game many of us lost our games numerous times, with accounts I might add, so I know how it feels. But in the last few years this game has been much more stable and tells the player to make an account, common sense tells you that you need to back up your game! People that played for a year or more and never lost their games were extremely lucky! We have had our games signed out numerous times, we sign in, no problem! I have dealt with EA on several occasions, they have always been very helpful. You sign in at their website, fill out a help request and they call you back. I greatly appreciate that they have provided an account system like they have and do not force me to use Facebook! Ps, Still hoping for more levels too....

Fun! And yes, Life ruining!

I've been an TSTO addict for a little over a year, and just when I think I need to give up this game, they come up with a new and fun event that makes me want to play every hour so I can get all the rewards on time! My husband teases me all the time when he sees me on the phone, he'll say sarcastically "playing Tapped Out, hon!" I honestly didn't think I would still be playing this game a year later, after I had downloaded it. There is much humor in the story line, like watching an episode. I'm very impressed with this game, and I'm guilty of occasionally spending actual money on it. When I started playing it I said to myself, I will play it freemium, but its like going to a casino and not at least spending $20 on one machine--you know its money badly spent, but its fun and exciting to think you might win. You can also get free donuts within the game via quest lines, from visiting neighbors (once you reach max fp level), and holiday give aways, but it takes way longer this way to collect enough donuts to buy something useful.

So, just beware that this game can be very time consuming--don't forget about your spouse, children, and pets.

Amazing game!

I've been playing this game well over a year, but it definitely doesn't feel like it. This game gets me through classes. Setting up the times and having them do certain tasks that I know will be ready by the time I play the game next. This game literally is "life ruiningly fun" ha.

One thing I wish you could do is have a button on the screen somewhere to go directly to reviews or a place to give suggestions. I had something awhile ago but I didn't know where to go so just waited until my next level up and now I forgot.

Why is Marge such a minor character? Her rewards, including the special Magic costume, are all normally priced. In this update, she can't do anything special to collect corn or masks or DNA. I want Marge to help!

Edit: is it possible to completely zoom out? Really wish I had that many times as my town has gotten larger. Agree with others about not being able to complete the monorail; also about the special event quests to unlock characters takes way too long. I'd love to sit and play continuously for 20 min at a time, getting coffee every 2 min, but that's not always possible. Still love the game :)

Cpaige1 - ★★★★★ 2015-09-19

Addictive, fun, and compelling!!!

My entire family is playing this app and it's sucking up all of our time. This app is pretty solid (occasionally crashes) and has a TON of Simpsons content. The events are fun and make it hard to not check on your town every 5 minutes. The Halloween event is great and I'm looking forward to the next event!
The only real complaint I have with this app is the donut pricing (an in app purchase). I'm all for paying money for an app but the value that you get in donuts does not match the amount of money being spent. For example, the biggest bang for your buck is the $99 donut purchase. You get a bunch of donuts, 2600. In comparison, $50 gets you 900. That's not the problem though, the problem I have is if I bought an XboxOne game for $60 I get the ENTIRE game. I really want to buy donuts but even $99 worth can be spent super fast. I think the developers should re consider a way to let people, like me, who want to spend money on this app get full value from their purchase. Otherwise, the premium content feels like a money grab. You can play for free but you don't get access to all of the very cool Simpsons content.

puGMaul - ★★★★★ 2015-10-24

Keeps me entertained.

This is a really fun game, I love the integration of new characters. The ONE thing I would really like to see added would be a way to set all character jobs at once. With new ones added quite often it seems only fair.
But still, great job! Can't wait for the next holiday update!

I just wanted to add how stupid I think some people on here are. Giving a fun game (that's been going for years now) a 1 star rating cause they've added a gay pride update? Really?! How childish. If you don't like the update delete the items after you complete the missions. I, for one, stand for gay marriage. Who am I to say if someone can get married or not? It's disheartening to know that this kind of bigotry is still alive in today's society. But! Keep those updates coming and the true lovers of this game will keep on tapping!

Holy crap! They added the ONE thing I had an issue with. Hands down my fav app on here now!! Super easy to set quests and collect. I can see me playing another 4 years (been here since the beginning)!! Keep it up EA!

Could ya make the doughnuts a little cheaper tho? Lol.

Great game

I have been playing the game over three years now. I have taken a month off here and there. I have always come back. The game is fun and addictive. Sometimes very time consuming. What you need to realize this game has no end. You make it what you want it to be. I have only bought doughnuts once to buy camp krusty. The game is always changing and giving you new tasks. Sure you can spend lots of money on doughnuts but you don't have to. There is so much to do without those extras. I don't need to have everything. The programmers listen to what people have to say. They have added many features to the game because people have complained. They made a doughnut spending double check. They have made the folder to assign jobs. The IRS tax collection to make it faster to collect. The people in the corner to see who needs a job. I love the fact there are so many updates and it keeps changing. It incorporates the Simpsons tv show into the game. We recently took a trip to universal Orlando and it was neat to see places in the game come to life. Take your time with game, and be patience.
