I love it but it would be really great if you could put whacking day back maybe after Halloween and all this donuts stuff is scary you really can't get much in the game without donuts I mean I have probly spent around $50 dollars hard cash and I can barley do any thing with the stuff that I bought so I was hoping you could add a way to either spend donuts or money (in game) I'm just saying I think that would be nice so please EA would you consider atleast reading this review that would be nice and the reason I rated five stars is because I love clash of clones update so much and stonecutters but I know if i don't do anything about it they will never come back like whacking day I loved it so please EA help me (if there is no theme I don't play )before Easter when there was no theme it caused me to miss the whole Easter theme because I forgot I updated it) so EA please consider helping me until then bye

I guess there must be reasons I continue to play after 3 years....
This was one of the first games/apps I downloaded when I got my iPad/iPod and it is probably the only game I have kept the whole time. It's fun, the characters are great especially when they bring in more and more of the characters. The updates and seasonal/holiday additions are hilarious and addicting. I haven't had any issues with the way the game works or any glitches at all (well, it can be a bit laggy when my 80 characters all finish the same task at the same time). The game creators are funny and continuously make fun of themselves and us (the consumers), I find it hilarious.
I love that they have made it easier to earn more donuts instead of having to buy them. Good idea ;-)

Thanks Tapped Out, for making Homer's 'PUSH NO-TI-FI-CATION...'s so amusing, allowing people to give me weird looks when I forget to turn the volume down.

Simpsons tapped out is certainly the best game ever ever ever oh did I say ever no game has more characters than this game it is the Sim city of Simpson's games and Sims put to gather better than a huge sandwich for Homer I mean huge sandwich like that one sandwich the turn all purple and stuff you pay it when you wake up you play it at night you even would pay it in you sleep i've been playing this game/app since it came out there is constant updates thanks keep getting you hooked my favorite update had to of been the Halloween where you could actually egg and toilet paper peoples Springfield's that one was a blast absolutely love Simpsons tapped out I highly suggest that anyone play it my two daughters have their own Springfield my son and my fiancé all pay this as well they are much more lucky then I am there Mistry box they get things like donuts and things that cost lots of donuts I get a bench

I was apprehensive about downloading this game for two reasons; either it would be completely boring and I would hate myself for even bothering with it or it would be absolutely addictive (as I'd seen with my best friend, long before I got an iPhone) and I would never be able to put it down. Now, I am completely addicted and VERY happy that I am.

I can NOT stop playing this game, and I enjoy every minute of it. While the gameplay is a little slow in the beginning, it definitely picks up the pace as your town begins to grow and grow. On top of that, there's the seasonal challenges that come along at random, twisting the game entirely, making it new and exciting on a regular basis.

Plus, if you love The Simpsons, this game is thoroughly appealing to the eyes and ears as it brings you into a world that fans have grown to love so much. This is DEFINITELY worth the download for any Simpsons junkie.

This is the first "sim" game I have ever played. I became addicted almost immediately. I thoroughly enjoy playing and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new gaming experience.

EDIT: For people who enjoy this genre will find the game fun (totally an opinion of mine)and for those like myself who are new to sim games it is worth the download. After reading several negative comments I hope you will not be totally put off. The game DOES NOT REQUIRE MONEY. It is true you can spend money it is a choice not a requirement. One commenter made the assertion that he or she spent a great deal of money on a mini game offered within the game. I find it odd a person would do such a thing. It's not the fault of EA he or she lacks self control and common sense (the money spent by the person had no bearing on the game BTW)
I enjoy this game and have no sympathy for unnecessary ignorance.

So seriously I NEVER leave reviews because I figure everyone eye will just leave the complaints or compliments that I would, but this update deserves a review. First off, I have never played a game as long as I've played this one. I usually have a game that I will play for a month or two at most and then delete, but I have had this game since September 2014 and have yet to hate it. Which is crazy, because I'm really not a fan of this show, but this game is so fun and addicting! I didn't think this game could get any better, but this West Springfield update is so fun! I love it a lot! No complaints from me, no clue why this update only has 3 stars. Only con that I have about this game is the donuts. I know they need to get money, but dropping donut prices for characters by 5-10 would be a lot less overwhelming. Overall 5 stars because that con has yet to bug me. GREAT GAME!!!!

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is definitely one of my favorite games! At first, it seems like a rip-off of FarmVille (a game The Simpsons predicted back in the 1990's, if I'm correct), but it quickly progresses into a fun, humorous experience. Most items are bought with Premium currency, (D'oh!) but you can easily earn them for free once you reach a certain part of the game. Events are always fun to play (and are almost always happening), with the Wild West update ongoing as this is typed, yet they are very tough if you do not use the mechanics giving properly, this time being the Saloon. This game is very enjoyable, yet a few times it seems like the game overprices some items. Most problems are usually fixed with Gil's Deals, however. (Still waiting on a Barney and Rich Texan sale...) To simplify this whole review, this game is great, yet some prices make me yell out "D'oh!"

While in-app purchases are very common, a lot of games don't give you the opportunity to complete many goals or get certain items without digging into your wallet. I love that you don't -need- to buy donuts ever as long as you have the proper patience.

And considering how large the game is with its many characters and items all animated, this game has great stability. There's been many games released that are based on some of my favorite movies, TV shows, etc but have disappointed me greatly by bug issues that never get fixed at all. I've never had any issues with this game regardless of the bulk content. It's never crashed on me, it loads quickly and the animation is seamless.

I spend more time playing this game on my phone than using it for any other reason. It's so addictive and there's just so much content to unlock and build. Great job, Devs! Keep it up!

Fantastic game, that I still play after 3 years.

Ive been playing it on my iPod touch 4 32GB for a long time now. It's gotten a bit heavier, so sometimes I use my SGS 3 in order to quickly visit my neighbours.

I only wish the game wasn't so much premium-inclined, like it was in years one and two. I've bought donuts several times. Yet I'm a bit of an old-school gamer, so Im not spending hundres of dollars on a single title. I suggest giving away more free donuts regularly and/or introducing at least a single new and popular voiced character one could get without spending extra real-life cash. Also the main characters' cheapstake kind of messages towards the player are not very nice, nor are they polite.

Anyways, great work guys! Im giving you a five-star review. Indeed the mere smartphone type of game that I believe I'd ever play that long.

I've been playing this game from the start, and it's so good that you have to create new words to just be able to verbally attempt describing it! I'm afraid, however, that I am only able to give it just five stars as a rating, and that is predominantly because that is all that I have been allotted to give. If I had been provided with more, then my rating of this game would be much higher.

As for complaints, well, there are a couple. Complaint one: The different doughnut bundles cost a bit too high. Complaint B: Most of the characters are way too high as well! Complaint The Third: The further out you go, the way too expensive the land is. These three reasons are why I kinda forgot about this game for a bit. But, I just missed it and couldn't stay away. I just hope these issues get resolved (although I really don't think they will)! Still though, great game!

This remains a great game. Great art, great ideas, great fun. Always ready for a new story line. This will be my second time around for Halloween. I was LOVING the unemployment office feature. With over a hundred characters it was nice to fast track those not directly involved in the current story into jobs. PLEASE bring it back.

OK . Thanks for bringing back unemployment feature. Halloween is fun. Monorail was great and I would like to expand it but COME ON, how about some straight track! I don't really need 19, 90 degree turns and 10 short pieces but NO long straight pieces.

Been playing maybe close to two years and have remained addicted. Seems like I am nearing the game end though for some reason I have been leveling up daily. Have been getting warnings about the amount of data in my town. Would love to see a screen shot of the entire town.

Overall, I think it is a fairly straightforward and fun game.
Drawbacks, it's too easy to use/spend premium items (i.e., Donuts). For example, if you set up houses to farm money, when collecting the money the area you touch could select anything within a 1/2 inch area. Often if tapping quickly results in spending donuts. There is a cancel option but you often only have a few seconds to correct the mistake. Another example includes, when looking at premium items just clicking on the blue information icon may result in purchasing the item which you cannot return. EA support was helpful resolving this however it took over 3 hours (2 hrs. On hold, 45 waiting to IM). I imagine when kids are playing this game it is far too easy for them to spend premium items (willingly or unwillingly). Create a toggle for turning on and off the use of premium items.

This is not your average "FarmVille" style game; it's SOOO much better!!! I have literally been playing this game for 3 & a half years almost EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! No joke. Yes, it is a game about building a town, but it also has constant side games to play along w/ leveling up & building your town. The side games are WAY fun, haven't come across one side game or I guess a better term would be "Themed Game". Also, they have a Themed Game for EVERY SINGLE HOLIDAY TOO!!! You can decide how often you want to play by your task assignments. It's just SOOO FUN!!! You can always try it for a bit & if you don't like it (which I HIGHLY DOUBT will be the case!!!) then just delete it. The best things I can say about the game is that it's super fun, funny (uses all the Simpson's style humor we all have grown to love!), & mostly you'll NEVER be bored again!

This game is insanely fun, and one of my favorite things to take chances; I play the scratch r, Springfield downs, and sometimes the mystery box. Saying that I would love if you added more of that, for example a fake stock system will rises and falls of stocks, and occasionally the market crash so people can't use all of their money on them. Also please make the mystery boxes better. Since each costs 6 donuts it should give you something premium , or some expensive from the store, like the elevator to nowhere, or fortress of chocolateud. If you think the mystery boxes are fine, at least bring back Homer Buddha. The Homer Buddha had chances to get way better things, but without having to spend a ton of money, or hack. I hope you consider what I think some tweaks/improvements would be, and I hope for more great updates in the future.

This is a exciting and fun game. Im still playing it and I have loved it since day one. If your looking for one of those town like games then this is for you! It is very fun and even though there are things that make you wait 24 hours and you get annoyed I enjoy that because while waiting you can make more progress in other games or do something productive like reading a book while you wait. The game is funny, when you click on a character they say something! Also when you open and close the Task Book you can hear Homer say " Task Book opened" or "Task Book closed"! I really love this game and I recommend it to everyone who is wondering to get this game or not. It really is a fun game and at the beginning when you first download it the clip is super funny. And I hope you make more games like this one it is really enjoyable! :)

I understand you are an EA server game and since around Christmas there has been problems with crashing. I don't hold it against you guys. However, there are changes you can make to make people a little less unhappy about the server problems and better your game. 1) add a collect all button for jobs and buildings that are ready to be collected on. 2) make donuts easier to get or that you get more at a time. 3) also people don't just have money to spend on all the donuts and it seems all the cooler items cost donuts. So if you make them cost less and donuts more obtainable, people will be able to get more of the better items even if they don't have money to spend on the game. All the things I and many others have asked are easily doable for you guys. I love this game and have been a life long lover of the Simpsons. Thanks!

I guess I've been lucky as I've never experienced horribly bad crashing *knock on wood* but I have to say that this game is great in how it's evolved over the years.

I play it because I pic building cities and it's great because you recognize these characters. it is difficult because a lot of these things require donuts which they rarely gift. I am really happy because the rail yard, though not much, will give you 5 donuts a week if you complete all 5 levels. they also, finally, have given the ability to give jobs to everyone at one time! aaaaand we can store the Springfield heights buildings. so this makes me happy. over time it did get boring and it's honestly the mini games that make you want to play because they give you new characters and buildings.

things to improve: please give us more chances to earn donuts.

I really like this game like best game I ever had/have but i have some suggestions. Some update ideas are to make Springfield have a night time they do on the show, there are some many different heights tasks that they all build up so try to tone them down some, make some of the things in the store cheaper people do not have 1000 doughnuts to buy something, it takes forever to get crusty land tickets to build something because they are outrageous prices, make the roads a little more flexible so you can place them closer to buildings, be able to move large bunches of buildings at a time, be able to delete things from holiday updates like some of the stuff from the Halloween or Christmas, and make board walk pieces cheaper take less time and be able to make multiple at one time. But over all really like it.

So not only is this game simple, easy, humorous, and fun, it also comes with a lovely customer support when you need it from the folks at EA who helped me with a small issue I had very kindly and speedily.

I love that I don't have to constantly be playing it when I'm busy but that there are so many quests and things to keep your attention that it doesn't seem to get boring.

The only thing I'd like to see change is that I can send all characters (who can/are available) to do an 8 hour task or a 60 min task, etc. It would be nice if I didn't have to click everyone since there's so many cool characters from the show in it.

If that's already a thing my apologies I've yet to find it though.

Anyway the events are by far my favorite and I can't wait for the next one!

'tapped out' (TO) and 'family Guy's quest for stuff' (QFS) are the main builders I play. that said, playing a couple yrs now. TO has a great system and steadily improves. rarely glitchy and quickly fixed if so. have never thrown down real money; so donuts, (in-game currency), are slow to collect, but progression isn't affected. some events can become repetitive, but are usually well paced. 2nd chance to win toons missed previously. feature that sends all toons to do chores with 1 button, rather than assigning each 60+ toon individually. few 'trash' toons (once gained, takes part in nothing except chores for the money). krustyland is weak. feels abandoned and should just be removed. would be nice if there was a way in-game to make friends. all-in-all, solid game. family Guy's QFS has A LOT to learn
