It may sound like faint praise, but Burner just works like it’s supposed to - and that’s why I use and trust it. It’s simple to use, doesn’t have any bugs that I’ve noticed, and has quietly worked it’s way into my routine and upped my various games. As a real estate agent, when I’m posting property listings on public websites that I’ve never used before, I really don’t want to be giving out my “real” phone number. I also use Burner numbers for dating (whether online, or just giving my number out to someone I’ve just met), selling stuff on craigslist, and when I need to give a number to a company I’m not familiar with (and that I might not want to hear from again). As far as dating goes, I predict that - in the not-very-distant future - upgrading someone to your “real” phone number from a Burner number will become an understood relationship upgrade; not quite “I love you,” but clearly a new level of comfort and commitment. Sort of like in France, where they used to celebrate upgrading an acquaintance (“vous”) to a close friend (“tu”). Am I saying that Burner will change American culture a wee bit?? I guess that’s what I’m saying. This is a very useful app!!

I have an iPhone 6+ so I reserve the real estate on my home screen where my right thumb can reach for the apps I used the most. Burner is on the bottom right because I use it so much. I got phone numbers for people who work for me, phone numbers for selling stuff, phone numbers for annoying uncles who call and breathe heavily into the phone. I don't know what I did before I had this app. Highly recommend using it for peace of mind.

Recently, I've started using my Burner for my side business. It really gets more useful the more you integrate the numbers into your workflow. After I started putting my numbers into my email signatures and on my contact us page for my shop, I've been able to get more people to use my burner numbers and now I always know what the phone call is about before answering. A few times I've accidentally burned my numbers and the customer service peeps have always helped a brother out. A+ for customer service that's not in the Philipines!

I don't know what I was doing before, exposing my personal cell number online. Using Burner is way safer. This app is a keeper!

Very useful app... Been working with them on a variety of forward thinking tools for our bands and brands. Love their approach to privacy and the utility value of their platform. Burner Connections is LEGIT!!!

yeah, my phone numbers went down for a bit too and I'm dealing with latency issues... But I'm really loving the new features and look. I will continue to use the app as I'm sure they will work through the bugs

This app keeps getting better and better. I use it for EVERYTHING from personal to business to social media management for clients. It's very much a daily utility app for me. As another user stated, I now have this on my home screen bottom row. It's that important.

This app is awesome! Yes, to extend a number you have to pay But when selling items on Craigslist you don't need to give out your real number which makes it easy to avoid scams. It allows privacy and it's affordable. You can give out a number to people you need to contact for a limited time yet keep them from always bothering you. The color change feature is nice as well as the ability to create custom voicemail and notifications. I have clients I don't want to have constant connection to and I can chose to not get notifications from and avoid the stress of constant messages. You can create multiple numbers for different phones which allows you to easily identify listings when you sell a lot of items online. The price is way cheaper than buying a separate phone and has the perk of locking just in case. Technology is amazing.

I couldn't be happier with this app!!! Voice calls, voicemail, texts ... Amazing!!! It works perfect and I love the way it's laid out. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I buy and sell on Craigslist often and with all the lunatics and con artists out there, this is perfect!!! I love it!!! After wasting a lot of money over the years on other apps, prepaid cells, VoIP phones, etc, my search is over. It's so good I'd pay almost anything for an app this good!!! It's not free, you have to pay for additional minutes, but to me, compared to every other solution, it's well worth it. If you're not a spoiled 15 year that feels like the world owes you everything for free (or an adult that acts like one), buy this app.

The writers an maintainers of this app have earned it. All of it. I used a burner number for a Craig's list sale. I was pestered with asshats trying to scam me. Ultimately, somebody sent me a check, and asked me to deposit it into my account, and send the surplus to another party. The check was written for 5 times the price of my item. I did not fall off of the turnip truck and hit my head for nothing. I gave it to the credit union with screenshots from the app. The sent it all to the FBI. The idiot kept pestering me. I burned the number. Now he lives in a pile of other stuff that the FBI can't devote resources to investigate. But he doesn't have my real number. All done. Wam Bam...you know the rest!

Great for pretty much any situation where you need to give a phone number for calls or text but don't really want to give our your real number. Works with things for store offers, first dates, and other situations where continued contact *may* not be wanted, but yet can be difficult to stop once you've given out your real phone number. Also helps to keep your number out of online databases as companies who sell on your burner number are wasting their effort.

When you're done, or sick of receiving messages/calls from someone or some company to whom you'd given your number, BURN IT! That person/contact/incessant bunch of messages is gone for good.

I've had burner since July 2015. And I've been extending my line month-to-month. This month however, I forgot to do it and when I went to my app I had a whole new number. I was bummed because I needed that number for personal professional purposes and I had already distributed it. Well I emailed customer service, and my representative (Alyssa) work with me in real time as we email each other back and forth throughout the day. I had already purchased credit on the new line, she ended up getting me my number back even though it wasn't in their system anymore, and transferring my new credit to my former Burner. Awesome!

I've been using burner for the last two to years and I can't live without it! I originally downloaded it to buy and sell things on Craigslist and it was great. When I bought new business cards I switched to using a burner on them and now I use it as my main business line, so I never have to worry about work calls at weird hours or carrying a second phone. I did have an issue one time and support was super helpful, they were nice and got things resolved in no time. If you've ever worried about giving your number to someone at work or on the Internet you need to download Burner now! Keep up the good work team!

Burner is an easy-to-setup/use app that give you a disposable phone number for situations where you just don't want to give out your own number. The interface is really well designed, makes it totally easy to keep track of calls and texts to multiple burner numbers, and is an all-around useful app to have on your phone. The price also seems totally fair, and actually inexpensive, for an app that saves you the trouble and e-waste of potentially buying a cheap second phone and the interface and ease of use is above and beyond the other apps/products you could use for similar purposes.

I sell a lot through craigslist. I've been lucky, so far most people have been on the up and up. Lately I've been running into buyers pretending to be interested in purchases, but are really only interested in recruiting email and/or phone number. This app is perfect for keeping my phone number safe, yet allows me to communicate just as if it was my real number.

Only negative is that the tiers do not equal the credit payment structure, so you'll end up paying more than what you need.

I just extended the phone for 3 months for 4.99. Still feel it's Money well spent.

This concept is spectacular! I personally have had issues trusting people with my actual number at first, especially with people at my college. I had to change my number three times in one year due to crazy people sharing/abusing my number. This app has saved me from the awkwardness from nosy friends, teachers who "must" have your phone number to contact you by, and dates that I never want to meet with again. It's the simple essential that keeps your inner communication circles safe, and strangers at an arms length. Not sure if I could brave college without it!

I use this app for a number of things, like random hookups on Tinder, selling things on Craigslist, nosy stores who want too much info. I've gone through at least 5 burner numbers and it's so much easier than carrying around a burner prepaid SIM card. I love it! My only complaint is that each text you send AND get counts against your balance. And you should be able to send pics with credits, as sometimes hookups want pics and it's strange when you can't send one. Oh and some emojis don't show up in texts in the app but will go to the other persons phone.

This app is worth it's weight in gold! I started using Burner about a year ago.. wasn't as reliable then and the pricing was added up quickly. But they've improved it immensely!! Call quality is excellent, unlimited text and talk for $5/month. Only drawback is there is a bit of a delay sending and receiving texts.
Customer support is also very good.
I use this app every day .... especially for online dating! It protects my privacy until I get to know someone. Really happy to have it!

I've been using Burner for a while now and it just keeps getting better.

I have several burner lines at any given time -- I always use one for my business, one for things where I know I'm going to get spammed but I need to put a phone number down, and they're also handy for situations like when I'm shopping for a car.

I also really like the design and find it very simple to manage multiple lines easily. Some of the new features are pretty cool too.

If you want to have a disposable number for use on Craigslist or something similar, this is what you need -- 5 stars!

Easy to set up, works for incoming/outgoing voice and text, just what I needed.

I did have a problem purchasing extra units for it, not sure if the problem was with Burner or iTunes Store, but Burner took care of it quickly for me. In fact their customer service was so good that I'm still giving them five stars.

Applications sometimes fall so very short of their description. This application is NOT one of them. The introduction of this app was so simple that user friendly would be an "understatement !"
In purchases were more than equitably fair and allowed for an extended time of use that was not just sufficient but so good you will be a consistent user of this unique application, no doubt about it! This is the 5 star General!

The app works just as I intend it too. I do a lot of online selling and trades. Most important thing to me is security and privacy. With the Burner app I can choose a phone number for my specific needs, use it till its life cycle and when I'm done with it burn it and start again. Continuous updates will definitely keep me using the app in the long haul. Couldn't be happier with the results of the application and its purpose.

First off if u need customer service for this app you are a complete and utter moron. Easy to use, easily get new numbers, a couple bucks for a month and 200 texts and 200 mins? For 4 bucks this gets you a burner that doesn't trace back to ur phone and with the touch of a button you can "burn it", getting rid of the phone number and get a new one.
This is a great and must have app above all apps for a specific demographic.

First review I have made in a awhile or ever. But that says a lot because I don't do them often. This app works great. Not sure how it works when you get a number assigned and free. It is awesome though. I pranked a buddy to see if it worked and it did. My buddy even tried to call the number back that went to a voicemail so he totally spooked him for how legit it was. I will use this for work though. It's great. Thanks!!!
