Similarly to what a colleague wrote, I'm no longer in practice. I now work for the State, which can entail being at up to 5 different locations in the course of a work week. "Retirement" from practice should not have to mean feeling that you've lost the "privileges" of being part of so noble a profession. And, let's face it, after 30 years of getting the VIP treatment, it's hard to let go of that. Doximity's e-fax capability helps you maintain that status and professional independence. It's nice to have your office ("private practice") in your pocket. Recently I had to see three specialists and it involved a lot of imaging and labwork. To have virtually immediate access upon request or getting CC'd to your private, secure and virtual "office" is truly a luxury. While e-faxing has existed for years, using it in the Doximity context / community also helps keep me linked professionally. With regard to the quality of the articles and subject matter, I can definitely use an easy read from time to time. Grateful for the excellent job you're doing!

When I first signed up on this App I was amazed at the number of physicians on file. I was instantly updated with over half of my medical school class from 35 years ago. I have enjoyed giving my personal fax number to labs and other sources when I want immediate access to the data, like being on call on the weekend and I can then simply forward it to my office for filing. Saves me interrupting phone calls and scrambling to write down data. I am about to begin using it with my residents and faxing them information about patients we are co managing. This will save them multiple visits to my office to pick up printed records and reports. I am beginning to appreciate the subscription service to journal abstracts, too. Bravo on this App.

I always love it when, in the age of rampant technological growth, products are released which seem streamlined to you and your needs. I have been unable to partake in the hoopla surrounding many of the social networking applications because I have not felt secure sharing my private information to the general public and because I have not felt the existing social networks are suited to help me and my business. I love the functionalities of this application. From being able to find old classmates from med school and residency, or finding colleagues in my area, to being able to securely share my private information and securely communicate with them, this application stands out among the plethora of other, less useful products.

This is a best-kept secret for physician only apps in the US. Registration is simple & easy. The app pulls out publicly available data on US-based physicians and displays them in an intuitive way. With this app, it's very easy to find office phone number fax and contact details of physicians - very useful when you are referring patients. In a HIPAA compliant platform, you can consult colleagues & specialists. You can have social media features of Facebook, LinkedIn etc. all in one in a closed community of verified US based physicians. You can keep yourself up-to-date with the latest medical news, your specialty news and research articles and have a discussion of them with your colleagues in irounds.

Meet Doximity...one can send and receive HIPAA compliant faxes from your laptop...or tablet...or smartphone. Unique features such as personalised eFax #, which I especially like, backline phone # access to colleagues, etc - provides one of the last vestiges of medical practice professionalism that preserves our identity and security. I have been able to reach colleagues easily, communicate rapidly, effectively and without obstacles that are commonplace in office practices. I have sent MRI imaging, reports etc via backline eFax - and much more rapid responses to inquiries.

Still seems pretty useful, especially the feature to send HIPAA-compliant notes to check up on patients.

Would be nice if the moderators would screen out the non-providers, though. As a locums guy, it seems a new way for various organizations to continue their "bombardment" of marketing to us. Guess that's inevitable but takes away another "safe space" to be exclusive to providers only (including APP's such as PA's and NP's). Oh well. C'est la vie.

The free and complying with patient privacy rules application is greatly appreciated - thank you to everybody involved in creation of this comprehensive marvelous tool! I find the fax built within this application to be the most helpful feature. However, I also greatly enjoy ability to look up old friend, such as my colleagues in residency and referring doctors. I cannot say enough good things about the entire package that comes to you after installing the application.

This app has changed my practice for the better. I practice in LTC, but I do not work in the facilities daily. This app is easy to use, good quality in received faxes, the notifications are awesome, and best of all... HIPAA compliant. I've told other providers in my practice and now this is how we are beginning to communicate as it works more quickly than email. So glad that I found it! A MUST get.

If you miss the camaraderie, stimulation and friendly, informal consults you used to enjoy, Doximity is for you. Like the Doc's lounge, it takes some time and effort to build those relationships, but you get the opportunity to share thoughts, problems and ideas with some really smart, helpful colleagues from around the medical world.

I use this app many times during the day to find other doctors to communicate with and get information and refer patients. There are many other great features like the medical rounds where you can ask any kind of question and other doctors will comment on the subject.

The faxing option is clutch, assuming it is hipaa compliant. Not that hipaa compliance helps a patient's health at all anyways so who really cares? Epic should buy doximity make it happen don't be scared, homie.

Doximity has been a great way to reconnect with old friends from med school, residency, and fellowship. The free secure fax line which comes with membership is a big plus.

Doximity helped me connect with other physicians and physician groups while looking for jobs. The free HIPAA secure faxing is a huge plus.
