How u doin developers. The last time I suggested something I was elated to see that u implemented it into the app. Greatly appreciated. Now I have a challenge for u. But if this can be pulled off, don't really know if it can, then the buyers will be thankful and u guys will double or maybe even triple your profit. This is my idea. Local live radio coverage of games as they are aired. Hear me out. U can start off with the main three professional sports for starters (for beta purposes). This is of course baseball, basketball, and football. Now i live in texas and my favorite NFL team is the colts. So I think it'd be great if I can tune into an Indianapolis live radio coverage of the game when it's on. I'd have this app on during the game! I know there's factors to work out like signal quality and the 3g and wifi strength but it can be worked out and will still be worth it. U guys can even charge for the service. One or two dollars per live coverage team, even per season. Maybe even a flat rate on the entire NFL coverage. Now this does sound tricky and difficult to the likes of me but I wanted to suggest it to u. Because if you guys can pull this off, I think this app will be catapulted to the top instantly.

The app is straight forward and gives scores, details, standings, news, and pretty much everything one might want to know and send to pals. The app provides timely scoring updates and comes up with most summaries quickly.

Organization within the app is intuitive, so it is easy to move around within the app to get what you want and then back again. At the bottom of key pages such as team standings one finds options for scores, news, videos, players, and it highlights what choice is live at the moment. League, division, and related are in a row just below the top. Along the very top is an identifier so you get confirmation of what you are looking at, to the right a search icon, and to the left a sport selection list plus more options.

I do wish it had live broadcasts for everything, but that might be impossible with the professional leagues and their business models. I can't be disappointed because I wish for something that is not really a problem with the app itself.

Bottom line, this is the best app of its type. I love it and believe you will too.

The Good: Wow. Very comprehensive sporting statistics and game updates; has 4 separate tabs of info for each sport: scores, standings, player stats, and news then 3 sub-tabs for each of those categories; with all this detail, it's organized very beautifully and intuitively; you can view the headlines within the app; custom groups to follow your favorite players and fantasy teams; very quick and smooth app The Bad: Not much. Can't view times in your own time zone, the graphics are good, but not spectacular; like other 2.0 apps, it crashes a bit, but I think we have Apple to blame more than the developer: 2.0 is buggy and there isn't a good way for developers to test their apps sufficiently. Took me a second to find how to switch between sports: top-left hand corner is the sport icon The Bottom Line: Simply the best Sports app out there; I was a huge SportsTap fan, until I saw the detail, functionality, and power of Sportacular; I can't believe it's free: I will definitely donate; I'm VERY excited about this app!

I had Sportstap, got rid of it. This app is far and away better. No joke, if you can add a few more details that cater to the fantasy baseball geeks, you'll have the first app that will be a must have for next year's season. Things I'd love to see: Under the Player Stats > Custom / Fantasy Teams, allow me to make a customized fantasy team roster with players from multiple teams. Add the last 5 games stats for each player.( a huge help when picking up free agents) Add the games played at particular position (asking a lot, but again, would help a ton) In addition to Teams and Individual Players under the Player Stats page, add another heading for Position. I love being able to see concise box scores without navigating and zooming through the CBS Sportsline page. If I'm on the road and I need to know quickly what happened the past 2 days, it's all there. Seriously, keep up the excellent work!

Yahoo! really got it right with this major upgrade to the former Sportacular. The Twitter integration is great. It pulls in live tweets from sports writers covering the game, which means I don't have to switch back and forth between apps. As always the live stats and game updates are quick and complete, and the news feed has stories from a variety of sources. Great for perusing between innings.

They also removed some features that I don't miss, keeping the focus on providing timely, relevant and thorough information to sports fans. It doesn't try to be everything to everyone, and it doesn't try to be too clever like some other sports apps.

I had been underwhelmed by previous updates after Yahoo! took it over, so it's a nice surprise to see how good this release is. If you had given up on it after the previous releases, go ahead and give the new one a try.

Do not let any bad reviews or unfamiliarity with the yahoo brand stop you from downloading this. This app gives you the the best organization options and total information available of any sports app, all in a beautiful user interface. It covers as many or as little sports as you want with plenty of customization. I use it every day and always will as long as it keeps getting better, which it has. One suggestion would be to add a "power conferences" option to the college basketball subset to offer a middle ground between top 25 and all Division 1, and always put your favorites on the top of the page, even if they are not top 25. Also, an old bug has appeared again. When you select the month of February or March in college basketball team schedules, it slides the moths over to the left so only November is visible. All in all, the perfect app.

I have used pretty much every sports app there is for iphone and this one by far is my favorite. For me, seeing the scores first is the most Important thing. This app does a good job of setting it's priorities straight. Scores then news and standings. Like most apps you can pick your fav teams and leagues but the ease of use and matter of fact display make this my favorite app to use.

I like how you just tap one button and you can see all the different leagues. You pick one and you can find all the stats and roster, schedules and tables. Awesome.

As far as bugs and crashes those are bound to happen with any app from time to time. Even the built in apple apps crash, and ppl still buy iPhones..

Great app, but has a serious problem. There is a bug with the picks tracker as for me it only remembers your game picks if you don't close out of the game and restart it by tapping twice on the home button then swiping up on it. Then it will wipe out all your picks and give you a fresh start. This is very frustrating and it tracks months and years and I see the world rankings so it must not be glitching for others, but it is for me. Another problem is there is a glitch when accessing the schedules for teams in college basketball, as noted by another commenter on here. Other then that this app is fantastic and I have yet to find any other sports app that can compare.

You heard it. Not ESPN, or whatever else you use. This app is so good, don't listen to anyone else. This app is super-on-time with updates. I was watching a Wiz game and Beal hit a three and I looked down and boom, it was update. Anyways, this app is very clean with a great look. Each sport allows you to look at stats and scores SUPER easy. You can set your favorite teams and get scoring, quarterly, and final alerts reliably. Also, if you use Yahoo Fantasy you can look during games and it'll show you your active players and their stats without you having to check. GET THIS APP!! I deleted the three other sports app when I got this, and I won't be going back.

In a field of largely excellent sports apps, Yahoo Sports is the best. It may not be quite as ambitious as other apps, but what it does it excels at. It gives the fastest updates, it has vivid and constantly updating box scores, the breadth of leagues it covers is second to none, and you can even pick who you think will win games, after which it lays out a map showing how people voted. Plus it's quick and its stable. Never had a problem.

One thing I'd like to see is an ad-free version option. The ads are largely unobtrusive but I'd like to see zero ads. But again, what it does it does very well.

I just have one small detail I would like to address. In the MLB if you click on a player and get to their player bio page, it'll show you their stats from the last game that they played. However, for starting pitchers, or even relievers for that matter, should show their last START, given that they don't play everyday because most of the time it'll show 0's for their last 'game' because they more than likely didn't play the day before. It's a small detail that bugs me from time to time because I use that bio page for my fantasy baseball team and check in on pitchers often.

...this is the one to have. I'm a huge sports fan, have tried all the apps and this is the one I use way more than any other, probably 80% of the time. All the sports (except college hockey), even women's NCAA Bball, all the euro soccer leagues, etc. Easy and quick navigation between sports, within sports from scores to standings to rankings to news. My only nitpick is that I don't like how it switches from black background to white background when going to news articles, too bright. Very small nit for an overall great app and my favorite for sports.

Want to start off by saying this app is great and I actually prefer it over the ESPN app. 3 Reasons..1) no annoying adds in the middle of scrolling that stop you 2) works directly with Siri 3) very organized.
If I had one suggestion for yahoo it would be to please add an option to change the UI color to a white theme. The black with white letters messes with my eyes and gets blurry. I even have to have my Adobe software on my Mac set to a gray theme just because it's easier for me that way. Hope this option comes soon! Other than that GREAT APP

This is the perfect app for people on the go. It's provides graphics depicting game progress and game stats up to the minute. If your favorite team has a game not on your local TV channel, not to worry, you've got the game. Teams rosters, news, schedules, they're all at your finger tip. This app is a complete out-of-the-park hit. I highly recommend this Yahoo sports app to all my friends and anyone whose a true sports enthusiast. Check it out, you'll be glad you did. Like me, you'll be completely satisfied. You can't beat the price, it's free!

Awesome app, i use it everyday, but a few things could use updating such as sometimes the top of my screen, usually about the length of one game/matchup, will get locked out of view, which is usually one of my Favorites... so i have to restart the app and it's a bit annoying. Also, occasionally it gets buggy... like getting the count wrong in MLB, like once it said there were 26 balls and 18 strikes in one At Bat... it was pretty funny but i did want to know what the actual count was lol. Besides a few minor things the app is amazing.

It has a very simple interface and updates scores frequently. The only two things that need work is the articles and the push notifications. When I sort through articles I always find this random articles like "things you didn't know about your credit" and it's pretty annoying. The push notifications should only pertain to the preferences the user sets. Also make it so the tones are customizable and not just the same monotonous tone for every notification. Otherwise great app and the current version that is out is the best it's been.

This works great on my IPhone and gives me lots of good messages about my favorite teams. It gives you TV station plus a cute linear running account of football games. I still use Watch ESPN and some other channels like PGA, LPGA, and MLB which is the best of all sport apps if you like baseball. The NFL channel is way behind MLB in quality unless you pay a fortune for the all inclusive package. I have been using RED ZONE to see the NFL on the big screen. That is great on Sunday afternoons. As you can see I like a variety of sports.

It has all the scores and stats. All the player profiles. It has a nice vote for winner feature then lets you see the rest of the country's picks. There is also great news coverage. You can let it push you stories, they are relevant and interesting. My 2 favorite features is that it shows you the sports book line for every game and there is a favorites section so you don't half to jump from sport to sport. Just click favorites and your msu, uofm, stones, wings, tigers, lions all right there. No need to go sport to sport.

Evidently I have reviewed this before, but my opinion hasn't changed. This is my go-to sports app. Their score updates are almost instantaneous, and more details of each game are just a tap away. You can customize it by putting your favorite teams in each sport down, and whenever you check scores your favorite teams will be on top. This time of year (September) I am checking baseball, football, and NCAA football scores, and I can switch easily from league to league. I definitely recommend this app.

I love this app!! I have been using it for 5 or more years and never had an issue!!! I would like to see the World Cup selection show the women's teams though. I'm an American and while I'll root for the men's, the women's team is so much better but I can't seem to find them to follow on the app. Other than that though keep up the good work and I love how the updates follow what happening be it March madness or the Olympics, or even the World Series. Again love the app and keep up the GREAT work!!!
