A great way to host, share, backup and store DSLR photography and mobile pics from iPhones/iPads. I can then access all from anywhere I can log into Flickr. Privacy is protected. I share what I want to share. I can delete pics from mobile devices without losing anything. I've tried other online storage options for mobile backups like Carousal by Dropbox that shutting down spring 2016. I have used Flickr as long as I've had my Yahoo email (10 yrs) and never lost any photos on Flickr. It's definitely improved and grown over the years. One terabyte of free storage should last a very long time.

I've been getting back into DSLR photography, and Flickr is a great place to learn, grow, share, and be amazed. I love that you can make sets of your photos, join groups for your interests, or share your photos with the website communities you belong to. It's easy to upload to Flickr from other sites. The uploader is fast and you can share your beautiful full resolution photos. It's great to get feedback on your photos or share that you like someone else's work. There is so much more I have not explored yet, but I look forward to using Flickr, and learning more features as I go.

I'm not one to write reviews either, but really like this app. Flickr/Yahoo has really knocked the web interface and this app out of the park. Auto backup for my camera roll works well. I also love that full resolution images are allowed. I use Lightroom to develop my pics and the upload feature to Flickr works very well too. Guest passes for family and friends is also very helpful, especially for those not wanting to create a yahoo account. Overall I would highly recommend Flickr to anyone looking for an excellent photo management cloud-based solution. Bravo Yahoo!

I am an older adult who has decided to decompress, meditate and explore life not only through my eyes but the eyes of the entire planet . What an exciting time it is to be alive and share our planet with each other throughout the globe through this magnificent technology . After careful consideration photography will now help me get my sanity back and appreciate the gift of sight and color and surrealism and all the many art forms associated with photography thank you so much and thank you to all the people sharing their lives with each other and me .

I've been using Flickr to store all my photos for ten years now, and am extremely satisfied. And their iPhone app is a great mobile interface to a great service. With efficient search and tagging, I can quickly find any photo from my entire archive when it comes up in conversation. Do we have a pic of cousin so-and-so with her kids? Bam! What was that great restaurant we ate at in Barcelona? Bam! And the app does a great job of transparently buffering downloads, so that I get smooth quick access to photos even on a mobile connection. Love it!

With Apple's new Photos on Macbook OS X, which is ridiculously hard to figure out and doesn't work very well, Flickr has been my savior! I've always used Flickr, but it was my backup for iPhoto. Now, I use it exclusively because I can trust this app and Flickr's website to handle my photos and most of my videos too. They don't disappear, they're easy to manage and organize, and I just have nothing but good things to say about Flickr. Use it and forget all about iCloud and Photos, at least where your pictures are concerned.

This is the best thing Yahoo has to offer and the only reason I keep a yahoo email account (which has been hacked once a month, at least... Like all Yahoo email accounts) (I have no contacts listed in that account anymore and I never use it). Anyway, Flickr is a great online photo site and now this app makes it mobile. Have not experienced any bugs since uploading it many months ago. There are many excellent photographs by others to browse and enjoy, plus it's a good place to share your own, if you want. Recommend.

I love this app. I use it daily, both as an option for storing and editing photos, but also for sharing with family and friends. I have set up a number of albums that can be shared with others. I backup all my photos to Flickr and have found the back-up service to be really reliable. A very good service and the app is very well designed. I would like to eventually see some more options for editing photos (e.g., filters, etc). But the design is much improved over older iterations of the app and generally user friendly.

I use Flickr as my spot to share photos with family / friends and have been using the mobile app to share "picture of the day" photos from my phone. Super happy with the ease of uploading (upload option right from iPhoto) and easy to share to specific folders. I love using the app, too, to view photo albums from my phone without having to go through entire stream of phone photos- guess you could say it's my way of organizing them. Also have been enjoying following different photographers from the app. Thanks!

I'm what you might call a power user. I don't use the Flickr app for uploads (that's what I use Lightroom for after meticulously editing everything), but I love seeing the latest pieces from the other photographers I follow on Flickr and finding new ones to follow. I used to use two other, paid third-party apps to browse Flickr, but this first-party one has gotten so good, I don't think I've opened either of them in a year. The navigation is intuitive and the performance is snappy. Excellent job, Flickr team.

I liked this app when I first got it until I realized it was automatically posting my private photos n killing my wifi + bandwidth! This was such a problem that no matter what I did it kept doing, n redoing it! After the 5th time, which takes hours to go through photo after photo to delete I had to remove it!
Luckily it tried it again n it doesn't do that!
It loads better now, and actually alerts me to things which never worked before regardless of whatever settings I tweaked.
Keep up the good work!

Maybe it's time To ask my aunt families in my life at Christmas. Things I can update my biological mom's staff and ease her she didn't so many salesmen. Very cool and lots of fun too. A chance to share my pics with the world and make new online friends. I follow and am followed by many interesting people from all over the USA and the world. I get to share and see pics, some just moments old from place like The Netherlands Sweden China turkey England and so on it's really quite amazing to me. I am old school photography back from the days of Kodachrome and Ektachrome this site melds old and new nicely. Two thumbs way up a must for any photo buff.

I feel awesome to evaluate this extraordinary feature to be scored with 5 points . It's my favorite application to keep my photos saved. Add the gorgeous remark ,that I love my new friends photos and they are awesome . I'm delighted to have all my friends included on my list. They had accepted me as a gay male and it feels awesome. Flickr has always been about capturing the moment and sharing it with the world, but now it's so much more. I'm highly impressed with the new interface. It's clean, intuitive, and highly functional. The camera roll is where the money's at. You can now view and manage thousands of your photos from any date in a matter of seconds. Show me some other FREE app that can let you scroll from 2002 to 2015 in 4 seconds and have your photos populate a second later. You can't. Well done Flickr. I'm a fan.

Every iPhone owner must get this app to back up all of your photos! It works automatically! Lose your phone? No problem, just get a new phone and load Flickr on the new phone and there you go, you still have all your photos!

Now that is what I got Flickr for first, but watch out! You'll get hooked on photography. I started buying all kind of photo/camera apps and got into iPhoneography. Then the next thing I know, I'm spending $1500 on real camera equipment. So yes, I love this app!

This is great! Yes, you have to subscribe to lose adverts and post a lot of photos (over 1000) but compared to Instagram where I am the product that Facebook sells to advertisers and all it takes is one bad sheep, and you get conned (to the tune of 20,000 yen), so Flickr is considerably cheaper in the long run! App is great, but I find that my process needs me to be able to like photos to remind me to work on them later. Yes, I could tag them, but one tap is better than several!

I've belonged to every photograph app site there is. Flickr is by far the best photo sharing site. The community here is amazing! Kind and helpful in teaching others photography and sharing theirs. Thank you so much for how you've kept improving! Everything except this review thing. I've left a review at least 9 times and when I hit send, it's still here and you'll be asking me to write a review again shortly. If that can be fixed I would really be happy.

Love having access to full-res images in an easy mobile interface. Could be an Instagram killer.

Two suggestions: (1) Would love an option to copy BBcode embeds from an image, and (2) I appreciate that multi-image updates get abbreviated in the feed, where one or two photos are displayed with a "10 more photos" message at the bottom. Would love it if going full screen and swiping would go through all "10 more photos" and not skip to the next update in the feed.

After looking for an easy and inexpensive way for years to store my collection of 30,000+ (and growing!) photos, I am so grateful to have found Flickr. Not only is it completely free, it's also way easier to use than any other site. This awesome app is a great compliment to the site. It automatically backs up any pictures I take from my phone so I will never have to worry about losing the precious pictures of my kids on my phone if anything were to happen to it.
