This app is really convenient to use. I love how it organizes items and holistically places spending & investment:portfolio. The budget/goal setting based on your monthly average was a brilliant idea (as I have to do so myself for most other apps I used). The only drawback is that, the company should also make a Mac OS app in addition to this iPhone app. Regardless, the website is also easy to use. My favorite part is the news and research sections that come with the app.

Overall very good. I have a few hiccups with my small accounts not syncing (Optum Bank HSA), but the app really is comprehensive in keeping all accounts together. The only upgrade I would like to see (not complaining, and I completed a survey asking to look into this) that if my portfolio cannot be tracked as far doing a performance analysis, seeing if there is a way to manually input your asset allocations for a 401k for example. I would definitely recommend the app!

This is the most comprehensive and well-designed app I've come across for managing personal finances. I encountered one problem at first (app wouldn't access checking account and credit card info from my bank) but that resolved itself today. I wish it allowed you to create custom categories for income/expenses. I also wish it would give specific numbers in addition to graphs, e.g., avg. savings per month, projected retirement balances, etc. Love it otherwise.

This app gives a quick big-picture of your financial situation. When I first got this app, I checked net worth weekly and quickly found myself making wiser financial decisions. This is also an excellent tool to help couples stay on the same page with financial goals.

This app allows you to aggregate all of cash, investments, and retirement accounts. What's incredible is that it will analyze each mutual fund for the underlying investments - they will then provide you with your actual asset allocation and give you an assessment. Very powerful and useful. I think some of the negative reviews are from financial advisors who fear this app and company - take them with a grain of salt. Try the app and you will be amazed.

A fantastic app that brings it all together. I also use their personal adviser when managing stocks just became too much of a hassle. So if you have lots of accounts even company stock options this is a great app, exceeds the Mint mint app IMHO. If you have 100K+ and need a best of breed PERSONAL financial adviser who will work with you, it was an easy choice and well worth the dividends payed YTD! Thanks for a great interface and customer experience!

This is the best financial tool for tracking your finances and gives insight into your investments that I was previously unaware of! It even offers suggestions to improve your cash flow and portfolio. The financial advisors they have available are great as well, they provide extended financial insight and great portfolio advice. Personal Capital is giving us the transparency into our financial lives we all know we need... And it's free?! 5 stars.

Simply the best personal app I have come across. I love this App. Before this, I used to monitor my finance, charges bank etc using quicken used to log in to my multiple accounts and download qfx files and import it into quicken. Gone are those days, now Personal Capital helps me do all that almost in real time. Thanks for a great software. Only thing I would as for is the ability to download transactions to excel if I need it.

Just unbelievably cool and useful to aggregate all your financial data in one place and see your real net worth. Being able to see how your total investments are allocated across asset classes is great. Actually feel daily transaction summary across all accounts is safer than not aggregating data. I feel this really motivates me to save more. Downside is they will call you every so often and pitch their management services. Worth the hassle.

I have been using this app for a few months now and it has been great so far for tracking my net worth. At some point I will also start investing with them as well sine their fees are much lower than other money management firms and their portfolio management is great as well.

I don't like the fact that we cannot yet add store credit cards like Banana Republic, Lowes, TJMax etc. It would be nice to have them added and tracked here as well.

This platform is simply phenomenal. I used to struggle keeping track of all my accounts in one place and now it is a breeze. I love their fee analyzer and the ability to see my holdings all in one place so I can analyze their individual performance. I don't take advantage of their bill tracker but use it primarily for keeping track of my investment accounts, cash accounts and net worth. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I have found Personal Capital's app to be really worth while and better than their website. To be able to glance at the app and see the summary of my different categories of cash, debt, investments and even links to track the pricing of my house and car. I do use there Investment vehicle and it is performing right with the averages with a very small fee when it comes to money management . Great app and I recommend giving it a try

I have tried several, and at this point, personal capital is by far the best. It connects to ALL of my accounts, even my relatively obscure Nationwide 401k. And although one review says it doesn't let you enter real estate, you can do that but you might have to log in from a computer and not you iPad. You can actually have it pull the Zillow estimate. I also like how it tracks and categorizes spending from my checking account.

Excellent app for tracking all financial accounts. Sets up easily, loads quickly, well laid out.

Only complaint I have is nowhere to put in real estate as an asset, so that when program calculates overall net worth, it includes mortgages and is thus in error by the value of ones home.

At times will not pick up accounts, but support staff has worked out problems successfully, although took longer than it should to get to it.

I've been using Personal Capital for more than a year and it is hands-down, the best capital-management app I have used. The interface is seamless and the presentation is fantastic. My only wish is that the folks at Personal Capital would develop an account management app like Quicken (that works on a PC and syncs with iOS), which I use for managing my personal checking account. I would ditch Quicken in a split second......

You don't see better than this anywhere! This app does it all and it does it all well. It connects easily to all institutions, investment houses, credit companies, finance lenders banks, benefit providers. You name it. It tracks everything and categorizes everything for you. Just start linking accounts and let the app do the rest. Highly highly useful and recommend it over any other application out there. Period.

Can't say enough about how impressed I am with both the website and the companion app. It not only tracks the usual accounts - credit cards, bank accounts, investments - but also home value, insurance, and even my PayPal balance. Having properties linked to Zillo is a brilliant feature. Setup was a snap. Interface is laid out well and easy on the eyes. I hate apps that try too hard to be flashy. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for an alternative to Mint, this is it. I use Personal Finance in collaboration with Mint. There are overlaps but I think that they are both needed. Mint for budgeting and spending tracking while Personal Finance is more to analyze investments. I've noticed that a few smaller banks/credit unions aren't available with Mint but available with Personal Finance. My recommendation is to use both.

I have used multiple online financial tools that collect all your financial assets under one tool for detailed analysis. This hands down is the one I go back to all the time. While other ones have little niche things I might use on occasion this is the one I come to over and over again. My only complaint is I wish they would provide the same level of asset class break down for foreign holdings as they do for US

I'm new to budgeting and investing. I never really gave it much thought before. But now that I am changing jobs, and had to figure out what to do with my 401k, I started doing a little research. Found this app, and I love it. Easy to tie in all my accounts, and I even found how much I was paying in 401k fees. I'm going to start paying more attention to my finances, largely thanks to how easy this app makes it.
