Nextdoor - Neighbourhood App [iPhone]

I have had this app for the past year and a half, I use it constantly!!! I've posted photos of dogs that we found lost in our neighborhood and the owners have been either on the app or known by people

This is a private secure way to communicate with your neighbors. Because it's geo GPS specific, you do not have people from other neighborhoods creeping your subdivisions posts! You can set it up to notify you via text message for specific events. Neighbors using Nextdoor have posted items for sale, notified others of a yard sale, asked for help with everything from computer repair to remodeling, and MOST importantly because over 1/2 of my neighborhood uses this app, we have stopped multiple door to door con artists and scanners, attempted thefts / larceny, stopped one domestic violence incident, helped police catch a shoplifter running through the neighborhood and stopped a burglary in progress!

NextDoor is one of the best apps out there, and I don't say that lightly. Our old neighborhood used it to bust a pair of burglars. I see it frequently used to find lost pets (and let me tell you, it is effective!!!Neighbors will knock themselves out over a helpless critter), great for referrals for doctors or handymen, etc, and terrific for selling the occasional car or sofa to a known entity rather than a random craigslister, or for plugging a yard sale. There is even a map for homes participating in Halloween!
