I honestly admit, I was a dumb, media-driven dope of a consumer. Yes, maybe I was ignorant but, I had no previous parental modeling nor anyone who wanted to educate me on budget aggregation or implementation. I earnestly thought my credit score was a hopeless cause. Between layoffs, utility shutoffs, credit card debt and default, I believed it would take me until I turned 50 before I could ever apply for a loan again, without that sunken feeling in the pit of my stomach. When they say knowledge is power, they really aren't kidding. Having used Credit Karma for six months now, I've jumped nearly 80 points. Seriously, no exaggeration from the truth. In my opinion, Credit Karma is the complete package. It provides me not only the visual motivation to continuously make more prudent and responsible financial decisions, but also the knowledge and education on why those decisions are so impactful in raising or lowering my credit score. Not to mention, the self-assuredness I've gained and the financial stability that now affords me options in loans and interest rates I've never, ever had previously. Using Credit Karma, my credit "savvy" has truly gone from joking to smoking, and my creditworthiness isn't so embarrassing to think about. I just want to say thank you to all those brilliant minded folks over there at Credit Karma, I am a truly appreciative user.
