For starters, I've had an account on credit karma for a few years but it wasn't until last winner that I got serious about rebuilding my credit. I've followed almost ALL the advice credit karma has given me including their credit card recommendations and credit repair recommendation (lexington law) and I my score has went from 550 to 612! My score still needs tons of work but thanks to all the helpful tips I went from not getting approved for any cards to now proudly carrying 4 cards with perfect payment history! For those complaining, you have to do the footwork, credit karma should only be your launch pad! I was recommended the secured card with capital one and at 1st was hesitant because the deposit was $200 but within a few months my line was doubled and I took a chance and started applying for cards and sure enough I was approved. When I was younger I destroyed my credit because I didn't know any better and now that I'm pushing 30 I realize just how important credit is! For those who complain about fees and high interest, if you have bad credit like me be prepared to get the short end of the stick until you build your credit. As adults it's nobodies fault but our own when our credit is bad! Start being responsible like me and start reaping the rewards! Thank you credit karma for everything!!
