I can't begin to say how much fun I've had playing this game. It's easy to pick up and challenging enough to hold your interest. You don't need to drop any money into it in order to play. Yes, it can help, but not needed for the casual player. This game actually reminds me of the old Dungeon Hack game I loved so much back in the day.

Very surprised with how much I like this game. You collect monsters, then assemble them into a team and upgrade / evolve them like Pokemon, and then send them through bite-sized dungeons fighting other monsters and looting treasures. It's an easy game to pick up and play, and it has a lot of events and daily challenges to compete that keeps you wanting to come back to it.
