Being a fan of card games, I have been looking for more cards for a fresh experience. I have usually played Hearthstone so my expectations are usually never met by any other card game. But this is the kind of game I have been looking for.

The problem I have seen is that there are crashes. The free card packs is good compensation though. The main thing that ticks me off is having to play against Japanese players and the unfair ranked matchmaking.

In card games I like making friends with people I play against so they can rub off some helpful tips or I can help the if they are new. The fact that I am battling people from a different side of the world is crazy. Isn't the player base in America big enough to at least be able to make people in America mainly play against other US players?

And in ranked matches, I am stuck at 1200 points and I fight people with 2100 points. I am being used as the bottom of a step stool. I am fine with waiting 30 seconds for a fair match. So let the ranked match maker queue me in longer for a better match.

If you are thinking about getting this game, go ahead. The free card packs can definitely give a big boost in the game, and the story is pretty good too.

Just be patient with the bugs, they have maintenance around every 3 days to fix bugs and they give around 3 free card packs every week as compensation.

I've been having so much fun playing this game. The past 2 weeks I have been playing whenever I get the opportunity. The games are super competitive and quick. Though some games can be dragged out most games last no longer then 10 mins tops and that might be a little high. They've done a good job of giving users free packs which has helped make me not feel like I'm at a disadvantage compared to the next guy. I love the ranking system in place. I've made it to B0 so far and the trails that occurs before that rank was intense and caught me off guard. It was a good mix up from the usual rank up that occurs from beginner to c3. The UI/UX is awesome and this game by far has the best pack opening experience I've ever seen. I've never played Hearthstone and some people I've showed this to write it off as a clone... BUT from what I know about Hearthstone, Shadowverse plays way faster, no rng and the evolve feature is a game changer. I can't wait to get this on my computer, really hope there is a way to get my account on my phone to the computer. Download the game you will not regret it.

Shadowverse is actually pretty good, in my opinion. I have played a lot of virtual card games, so I have some perspective.

There are four things people should know about Shadowverse. First, Shadowverse has Japanese cartoon style artwork with all the story and character tropes that go with it. Second, this is a hero based card game like Hearthstone and most other modern virtual card games. Most of the cards you get from packs are exclusive to a particular hero class. Third, Shadowverse has almost no cards with RNG effects. While this reduces variance between each match, this means the game relies on your ability to use the cards you draw to win.

The final thing people should know is this game's most important mechanic called Evolve is where most of the game's strategy lies. Evolve effect allows you to boost your cards on the game field and attack with them immediately against enemy cards. This increases the game's emphasis on controlling the board. Being able evolve at the right time will distinguish the good players from the bad,

Let me start off by saying I was already excited for the release of this app.
It looked really good from what I'd seen: a new, interesting and exciting card game with amazing art, animations, and game mechanics that would appeal to everyone, including the most competitive of card game players. But I hardly expected it to be as incredible as it was when I first started playing!
The game is much more well-polished than I had thought it would be, and after playing through the tutorial and some of the story, which are very interactive and intuitive, I was no less than blown away by everything I held at my fingertips!
I won't go into much further detail than that; the game's finesse and good craftsmanship need to be experienced firsthand. Anyone considering playing this should undoubtedly give it a try. All who love card games will certainly find enjoyment here.

I only leave reviews for apps that I either really enjoy or really dislike, and this is definitely an app worth leaving five stars for. I've played quite a few collectible card games in the past several years, and very few of them have been as fun to play as Shadowverse. As someone who doesn't like to spend money on apps, I'm glad the developers don't force you to pay to have fun playing, with the exception of winning ranked battles. The artwork in Shadowverse is beautiful, complimented by some pretty awesome voice acting. The game is easy to get a handle of but reasonably challenging, and you can choose from several different playing styles using different characters. The intertwining storyline seems interesting so far, and I can't wait to see more of the game!

This game is extremely well done. It's designed by Magic experts and focuses on reducing randomness (except initial deck shuffle). I play Hearthstone a ton (legend many times), and I enjoyed picking this up. The structure of course differs (e.g., 40 instead of 30 cards, 5 creature max on board, 8 cards max in hand, etc.), but mechanics, various classes, and attempts at balance are recognizable and welcomed features from other top notch TCGs. Moreover, it has excellent anime artwork, with a fair card collection system and without gatcha. If you are a fan of either, definitely check this out.

I'm new to ccg's and I was initially intimidated, but the art just spoke to me and I figured give it a shot since it was free entry. I'm loving the depth of strategy and customization. The art is simply beautiful and most cards have a second form and an animated version possible, so even more to look at. It doesn't feel like a cash grab, you aren't shamed or punished if you lose, there are no stamina limits. I got a bunch of free card packs to start with since I signed up early and lucked out on some really nice cards. Give it a try if you are in any way interested.

Shadowverse is a fun and addictive card game which is functionally similar to Blizzard's mega-hit Hearthstone. However, the "evolution" mechanic and Japanese manga-style character designs help it stand apart from the pack. Both newcomers and veterns alike will find something to like, as the tutorial is comprehensive and there are no features hidden behind paywalls. A typical multiplayer match can be finished in under 10 minutes, making it easy to pick up and play a match during your downtime. Overall, any fan of digital card games should find something to like here.

Lol it looks good sure? But does it really deserve a 1 star review because you're too stupid to grasp the basic rules of the game? Also, isn't a real strategy card game? What do you mean legend of cryptids is the best way cards should be played as? If I remember correctly, games that uses art as means to get your money sounds like a cash grab in itself you moron, you just contradicted yourself. Lol I'm glad they revived Rage of Bahamut as a REAL strategy card game since now every card has its part instead of being "get the strongest card and win the whole server."

The art work is amazing the voice acting is much better than expected and the characters are all likable in their own unique ways. Personally motivation for some characters is a bit lacking and development of personality feels a bit uninspired, game mechanics remind me of magic, only real grip bursting for damage is WAY to easy to do, they need to slow the format down especially since it's a deck of 40 cards, too high in my opinion. But it's in early stages so I hope they will make the proper adjustments. Great Game

This game has been absolutely wonderful to play. Beautiful graphics, great game play, and its fun to use strategy to win the card battles. Tye best thing in this game is the card art though. The cards from Rage of Bahamut (a recently shut down game) have been included in this game as the cards and it makes me happy to see such beautiful card work not go to waste! With many cards and tons of playstyles, I am very addicted.

I definitely recommend at least trying this game.

This is a very well made digital CCG, comparable to TES Legends or even Hearthstone in both gameplay and polish. Very large single player campaign and no freemium BS to be seen so far. It's taken me a little over an hour to beat the tutorial and first chapter, was very easy but had like 9 levels. There are still 7 more chapters to go. The art work is very anime inspired, with a pretty cool evolve mechanic that effects the art. Definitely worth a try!

First, this will inevitably be compared to Hearthstone. There are certainly similarities, but the evolve mechanic and having 40 cards per deck make game strategy and play much different.
The different classes are fun to try and it's easy to find one suited to you. The art is amazing and the sound is well done.
My only complaint would be it has crashed for me but never more than once a day.
Definitely worth trying!

At first I thought this was going to be a hearthstone clone and not really that good , but after I downloaded it and started playing it I instantly got hooked. It's art style ,voice acting storyline is pretty good and so far the gameplay is also great never judge a book by it's cover I should say!!! Keep up the good work and bring more stuff in the future to make this even better !!!

I know I'm into the game because every time the app crashes mid game at 2:00am I shriek, throw my phone across the room, then load it back up. Once they improve pvp stability (seriously I have a 30% win rate because 40% of my games end with a crash-based match loss) it'll be great. Until then, don't try for the perfect arena run achievement without a sturdy phone case.

Hearthstone has nothing on this game. The classes are way more diverse with an AMAZING STORYLINE for each one. Plus, they give you TONS of free card packs and the card art is just so much better than hearthstone cartoons. Multiplayer is awesome because there's ranked and you can customize your flair, profile pic, etc and unlock new stuff when you rank up. It's great!

I love my monster card games and this one hits the jackpot. I love the voice acting and I love the storyline. It as an amazing game. The only thing I want from it is the next chapter/s for the storyline and specialty cards packs, and by that I mean events that you can get limited cards from. Other than that I think this game is amazing!!

Great CCG, similar to HS but different enough to stand apart. I love the evolve system, all the classes are unique, the art is fantastic, it's just so well done. There is no way this game won't take off, it's that good. In fact I like it better then HS, a game that I've played since release. Download this now and join in.

I've never experienced such an amazing card game like this! Everything is very stunning: graphic, art, gameplay, and of course every characters. There are also many animated cards that are so beautiful. Even the battlefield can be interactive. If you love anime card game, you have to try this game!

I enjoy this game, I never really am able to get into card games but this one is excellent. I hope to see a long future for it like hearthstone. Also the art is not too over sexualized like many ios card games which I highly respect! I hope the player base continues to grow with each expansion!!
