My only criticism is the letter selections on hard and expert levels. The words produced in those categories are sometimes ridiculous. You will never know the actual best word the computer produces and therefore won't beat it. Also, the letters aren't random. They produce a high lettered word every time which the computer always gets expert and mostly all the time on hard. Very slick app though. Still fun to play.

I have been a Countdown fan for over 20 years. I have only just discovered this app, but downloaded it immediately. It's great for those with a general interest in word or numbers games, but an absolute must-have if you're a fellow Countdowner. This game is as close as you can get without appearing on the show itself. The only downside is there is no Rachel Riley or Susie Dent! Seriously though, well worth the £1.49. A huge thank you to the developers for producing this wonderful app.

The gameplay is exactly like the show itself. The interface is very intuitive and makes the gameplay a lot of fun. Also, even though this is not exactly a game that needs to be heavy on graphics, I loved the sharpness of the animation and the general quality of the game's display. Absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend if you're a fan of the show.

A brilliant game that is very true to the show. The interface is excellent and each update and another level of polish. For me, it's best played in single mode against yourself, to test your high score. If there is an issue then with the AI (and that is a big "if") then that doesn't really come into it. A great way to pass 10 minutes!

This game is very addictive. It is well put together and there are various options and different length games to choose from. The recent addition of a shuffle option on the letters game is useful. It's worth paying the small cost and you don't get bombarded with adverts or requests to rate them. Great value for money!

This is a superb recreation of the TV game and can be played for as little or as long as you like. The Practise feature is the winner for me, which also shows what the highest word score would have been and how to solve the numbers game. I've been waiting for this game for ages!

Really enjoy playing this game. The graphics are great and the simple but clear way it resembles the real countdown is brilliant. Love the fact you can choose a quick game or a full 15 rounds plus you can play single, two player or against the computer. Highly recommended.

This is a well thought out and fun return to countdown for me, although I think I could do with a little more time for each challenge. Maybe an option to choose more time on the game would draw in more players who, like, myself, are advancing in years and slowing up a bit.

I absolutely love this Countdown app. It is just like playing it on tele. The letters, numbers and conundrum features are all awesome. You can do the whole thing or you can play a quick version. There are several difficulty levels. I mean, what's not to like folks ?!

Easy to play, really good to have practice button. Takes a bit of time to get used to numbers round but you get there if you keep persevering. As on another review it would be great to have a clear option in the conundrum, but other than that it's good fun

I love playing this app. It couldn't be any closer to the actual show if it tried. I love the challenge of trying to beat my high score and I must play at least 4/5 times a day. It is very addictive. Couldn't recommend this enough.

Finally there's an official Countdown app and it's great. One thing that could be better is that it would be easier to do the conundrum if you could play with the letters instead of having to solve it completely in your head.

I'm an English teacher. I use this in class, the kids love it! They play against each other for a small prize and y wouldn't believe how competitive they get. I also have a sneaky play myself on break! It's great!!!!

Such an amazing game if you love countdown, the show you should purchase this game. It's also extremely good for the brain, it gets you thinking, and the graphics are incredible !

Brilliant game, just like the TV version, can chose different levels of difficulty, which is fabulous for someone who isn't the brightest very addictive! Would highly recommend

Really like this, love how you can play long and short plays and that you can practise. Did take a bit of time working out how to work numbers board but did not spoil it for me.

This is just amazing!! I'm so happy with this game, its just like the real thing only even better! I'm having such fun with it and exercising my brain with it!! Yay all the way

Not normally one to buy apps but I like countdown so I thought I would give it a go... I am so glad I did! No crashes and it is simple to use. Brilliant app would recommend.
