The upper level is dedicated to the wall-length canvases of Water Lilies gifted by Monet to the nation. The rooms of the gallery provide an unbroken parallel epic to the events that gripped the nation at the end of World War I. The temporary exhibition at the lower level is a mind-blowing collection of art works once owned by the influential French art critic Felix Feneon (1861 – 1944). Felix Feneon was an icon of Neo Impressionism and also the pioneer of Futurism in the continent. He was also largely responsible for the careers of Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, Pierre Bonnard and Henri Matisse, whom he revived from relative obscurity. Alongside some of their famous works, several highly acclaimed futuristic paintings are on display. All the information can be found inside the app.
