PBS Kids GO! Video App and my dreams

People would like it if there was an app called "The PBS Kids GO! Video app" so preschoolers would watch more shows so here is the reason why:

PBS Kids GO! gives kids in Preschool and kids in grades Kindergarten-8th Grade education like reading, writing, math, science & Social Studies.

And that is why there should be an app called The PBS KIDS GO! Video App.

PS: Kids Might want their parents to write it in the reviews.

Final Thought: Also you should make a game called PBS KIDS Racing with all your favorite PBS Kids Friends. and the show characters and you can make your own kart.

Also I wanted to share my dream about PBS kids. I Was thinking about Four Nick Jr shows and Four Disney Jr shows moving into PBS KIDS. First I will tell these Nick Jr shows that should move into PBS KIDS and these shows are The Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba, Blues Clues and The Backyardigans. And now here are The Disney Jr shows that should move into PBS KIDS and these shows are Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, Octonauts and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. So here is why I shared this, I wish you could ask Nick Jr and Disney Jr for those shows so you could make Kids in grades Kindergarten- 8th Grade Happy. So you should ask them for those shows and here are reasons why.

Reason 1: Preschoolers and Kindergarten-8th Grade will be surprised when they see You made by dream come true by Asking Nick Jr for The Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba, Blue's Clues and The Backyardigans. And Asking Disney Jr For Little Einsteins, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Octonauts and Handy Manny.
Reason 2: It would be Exciting to have those four Nick Jr shows And those Disney Jr shows on The PBS KIDS Block on the PBS Channel, The PBS KIDS Website and The PBS KIDS Apps.

For Example, I have an Idea and The Idea is Making a show with those four Nick Jr Shows and those four Disney Jr shows called PBS KIDS Island With all of Kids favorite skits so you must have educational skits in your show like Language Arts skits, Math Skits, Science Skits, History Skits And other Skits.

So that is why you should have The four nick Jr shows and four disney Jr shows I talked to you about them moving into PBS KIDS on The PBS KIDS channel in a show called PBS KIDS Island.

Now we return back to The PBS KIDS GO! Video App.

The shows I want In the PBS KIDS GO! Video App are Between the Lions, Sesame Street, Play With Me Sesame, Arthur, Postcards From Buster, The Electric Company, WordGirl, Mister Rogers Neighborhood, Barney and Friends, Cyberchase, Fizzy's Lunch Lab, Zoom and Word World. Also I want SciGirls In The PBS KIDS GO! Video App. So I want you to make The PBS KIDS GO! Video App Please. I also want Reading Rainbow in The PBS KIDS GO! Video App. And Remember Those Dash and Dot Segments, I was asking that because You should also Put the Dash and Dot Segments In The PBS KIDS GO! Video App.

Also I told Nick Jr And Disney Jr about that Dream I told you about, Those Four Nick Jr shows and Those Four Disney Jr shows moving into PBS KIDS. Also Nick's Noggin and Playhouse Disney are so awesome for Preschoolers and Kids in Kindergarten-3rd Grade So I Had another Dream About Four of The Nick's Noggin Shows And Four of The Playhouse Disney Shows Moving Into PBS KIDS GO! First Her Are The four Noggin shows: Ni Hao Kai Lan. Wow Wow Wubbzy, Allegra's Window & Eureeka's Castle.
Also Here Are the Four Playhouse Disney Shows: Higglytown Heroes, Jojo's Circus, The Koala Brothers & The Doodlebops.
And there is another dream of mine So in the PBS KIDS GO! Video App You should put the Four Nick's Noggin shows and The Four Playhouse Disney Shows in it.

I forgot to tell you I also Want this Playhouse Disney show " PB&J Otter ". And You Should put In this Nick's Noggin Show " The Upside Down Show ". So that make Five Noggin shows and five Playhouse Disney shows moving into The PBS KIDS GO! Video App and PBS KIDS GO!.

Now back to my First Dream I Told You about.

I thought of The Nick Jr show "The Fresh Beat Band" & The Disney Junior show "Special Agent Oso" Moving into PBS KIDS Too So that make Five Nick Jr. shows and Five Disney Jr shows moving into PBS KIDS So put The Fresh Beat Band & Special Agent Oso in The PBS KIDS show PBS KIDS Island.

This is About The PBS KIDS GO! Video App. You should really put Peep and the
Big Wide World in the PBS KIDS GO! Video App. PBS KIDS Shoud Be a TV Channel because PBS KIDS would be so great for a TV Channel On all TV Providers.

Great App - Chromecast Support

This is a review of the *app*, not the content.

I've read a few reviews from clueless parents who don't know they can limit data usage to wifi only simply by disabling cellular data for this and all other apps in Settings>Cellular. Seriously, get a clue, the app is perfect as is. Another button in the app isn't going to fix cluelessness.

Having said that, I loved this app on the iPad and was hoping I could use it someday to cast on the TV. Well, Chromecast support is here and it's perfect!

My kids love all of the PBS shows including Wild Kratts, The Cat in the Hat, Super Why, and others, but it was a battle for the iPad every time they wanted to watch something. Now I can just cast shows to the TV and the iPad is free to multitask.

There is really nothing wrong with the app, other than some minor usability and interface issues that will probably be addressed in some future version. It's great and kids love it.

Great work PBS!

Excellent app, MUST HAVE

I wish I could give this app ten stars. Let's list the pros:
Doesn't freeze up, despite my daughter constantly switching videos; Has the major shows and several episodes/clips of each; easy to navigate for kids; has saved me many meltdowns when she simply cannot wait another 5 minutes to get out of the cart/car/store/etc. I have no complaints at all about this app. There are no "buy the full version" ads, no ads at all, no links, just videos. There is a way for parents to swipe their fingers so you can add certain shows to your favorites (adds it to the top of the list at the right), but it's hard for a tot to figure that out on their own, so don't show them ;)
Seriously, if you child likes even one of these shows, it's worth it!

Not perfect, but my kids love it!

There are some rough reviews here. I haven't had any issues with the app. It runs smooth, is reliable and delivers what it promises.
Full shows would be great, but I think the concept is to introduce your kids to the characters so they want to watch the full shows on PBS TV.
My kids can spend an hour or two a day playing with the clips. They love having full control (at ages 3 and 5 they aren't allowed to use the TV remote). They love the characters, and the fact that the content is updated weekly keeps the experience fresh.
Bottom line, could it be different, could it be more, sure! But it is awesome as designed. One of the best young children's apps in the store.

Possibly the best free app available for young kid

My daughter is about 21 months old, and has been using this app for months now. I was a bit apprehensive at first to just let her watch videos, but now, I'm surprised at how much she has learned from watching Elmo and all the other characters on this app. I sit there, watch with her, and help her understand what they're trying to teach. I've even like some of the videos myself!

She even asks to sing some of the songs she's learned from the videos while in the car, or sitting at the table. Her favorites are Elmo, Sid the Science Kid, Noah Comprende (teacher spanish words), Curious George, and Chuck Vanderchuck (introduces different styles of music to kids).

Great, especially for a free app!

There aren't a lot of quality free apps out there for young kids. This one is great so far for my PBS loving toddler. Easy for him to navigate, lots of content, and you can select your favorite shows to appear at the top of the list. All without inappropriate advertising or prompts to buy things. I think it would be even better if there was a rewind/fast forward option. If you click out of an episode, you have to start it from the very beginning all over again to see what happens at the end. Maybe rewind/fast forward could be something the parent controls could toggle on and off if you think it would take away from the kid friendly interface. Thanks, PBS!

My 2 year old

My 2 year old watches your app all of the time. One day I was home with him and I wasn't feeling well. He started to speak his ABC's. I mean 24 of the 26 letters he knew. When I asked him where did he learn his letters he went to your app and started to what Super Why. I was amazed. My son gets mad when we are away from WiFi and he can't access your app.
We just got back from Mexico and could not access your app there. He was very upset not to be able to watch your videos for two weeks.
It would be great if you could have the app accessible in Mexico for us visiting parents.
Keep up the GREAT work!!! Thanks!!!!

On the go/air times

This app is absolutely great! My baby girl loves to watch and be introduced to all the PBS cartoon shows. Sesame Street only airs 2 times a day and not during the times she is at home. With this app she gets to watch either a full episode of Sesame Street or just a clip of Elmo. We use it when she wants to watch cartoons and "we" want to watch our regular tv shows or when we are at the ball park with our older kids or when she needs an Elmo fix! She absolutely loves it! The only con to this app is there is no fast forward or rewind. But for it to be free it is great.

My daughter love it, so do we

This is a truly wonderful app. I feel great knowing that my daughter is growing up with these PBS shows as teachers and role models. When she watches she gets the freedom to switch from one show to another and choose between short clips or full shows.

She gets really into one show for a while and then tries something new. Some shows are "too old" for her but she loves to watch them and take away little bits of learning.

This app is an amazing public service from our public broadcasters and I wish there was a way to donate to my PBS station right through the app.

A must have

I can't complain much. My daughter loves that she can choose the shows on her own and I love that it's free. I appreciate that it works with chromecast at all, but I'm bummed that it doesn't work as well as I'd like it too. it rarely lets you choose a show besides the weekly pick, but if it does it'll switch back to the weekly pick halfway through the show or just stop playing altogether. it's an inconvenience I can live with, but frustrating when my kiddo wants to watch Clifford while I use the iPad but the only show that will continuously cast is the weekly pick.

Nice app and interface

Nothing bad about this app I don't know why some people are complaining. I am glad it doesn't require a paid tv subscription to watch tv shows. It didn't say anything about tv provider. Please keep it this way and think of people like you are right now. Just remember some people can't afford cable or satellite remember that so in case you want to upgrade this app just remember what I said about thinking of other people.

This is the app I've been searching for

It seems like most children apps I download from my son who is two years old always have pop ups are some way for him to download or buy something. I absolutely love this app because one give them the option to click around on whatever he wants because he knows his favorite shows. And two I don't have to worry about him accident like buying anything because before you buy it it makes you enter a code.

Fun app but fast forward would be helpful

This is a REALLY REALLY fun app! They have all the PBS kids shows like Arthur and wild kratts and the rest of those shows. New episodes are added often so you don't have to watch the same ones over and over. The only problem is that you can't fast forward or rewind within an episode. All in all it is a great app and I would recommend it to anyone who likes the PBS kids shows!

Chromecast support finally!!

Yay!! I've been waiting for this & Chromecast support is finally here.
My kids can keep up with the Wild Kratts without bugging me for the iPad!
Thank you PBS.
One feature that I would like to see added is some sort of parent-set timer or limit on the number of shows watched - without this the shows just keep on coming and the kids will just keep on watching!!

Bendra35 - ★★★★★ 2014-08-07

Love This App (:

Love this app. My 14 month old is obsessed with it, and gives mommy some time to get stuff done when need be. The only thing I ask is, if you would please put a lock on the screen so baby can't mess with it when she's watching a show. She changes it or completely exits out of the app, and then gets mad because it's off lol. Thank you

Your_Mama - ★★★★★ 2016-05-17

My favorite app (my kids agree!)

Wow, this app is amazing! My 2,4, and 7 year olds love it and can easily navigate it, choosing which full episodes to watch. This is the only "tv" my kids watch. They are constantly sharing facts that they learn from the different shows. There are a lot of show to choose from and the content is constantly being updated.

Love this app for my 1 year old

My little girl loves to watch pbs and since we don't have cable this works well with our chromecast.
**i would like it better if you could make a playlist of videos so there can be some variety when casting the videos without having to constantly be on my device**

Michelle W 411 - ★★★★★ 2015-05-23

Amazing

It's rather hard to find any good and old PBS shows on tv, PBS Kids lets us watch out memories or favourite shows on demand, in a way.
I'll definitely recommend this app to everybody I know of so they can enjoy the same experience I am.

Killer app

Keeps my son (Special needs) occupied -- so easy for him to access a ton of content ... Allows him to make his own choices and it's so easy to use because there aren't a zillion unnecessary prompts that other games and apps can have.

Perfect app for children

This application is just great for young children. Even I am watching some shows. And the new Chromecast functionality makes it even better. My children can watch the shows on TV while I am working on my iPad.
Nice work, PBS!
