I personally think most the people who give this app bad reviews have ZERO patience and there reasons to why it's bad are stupid. They don't think about the millions of people who use this and how many people use it at one time. Nothing is perfect. So of course there will always be things that can "make it better" but for the adds they are annoying but at the same time I don't really care because I don't sit there and stare at the screen and enjoying the picture that is there! I have a life!! If I'm listening to pandora I'm 100% of the time doing something else on my phone. Or I'm laying down. Like right now I'm doing both! The only time my music or anyone else that I knows music stops it's because it asks if you are still listening. Which is a good reason to stop the music. I always get notifications saying there are more songs on a station. I have never had it tell me there are none. I think this is an app that I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone and I would give it 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! It's a great app and I have had minimum complaints. None that affect me or bother me enough to want to change anything. There are ads but I never have the app open when listening. Which is amazing that I can do other things and myosin still play. Yes I would like to be able to go back a certain amount of songs. But I don't skip a song by accident enough for it to bother me. Plus the so g usually comes back on again soon which I really like!!

I wrote a comment before but now I want to give this App the review it deserves: Pros: 1. For iPhone users: This app works anywhere you have cell signal 2. For iPod Touch users: Works anywhere you have internet 3. Can have as many stations as you want 4. Can group them in alphabetical order to make stations easy to find 5. No more listening to the artists you don't like over and over. YOU pick what you listen to! 6. It work seamlessly with your account on the Pandora website. If you add a new station on here it shows up there too. 7. It takes up barely any space on your iPod/iPhone 8. You get it all for FREE!!!! Cons: 1. Can't do anything else why radio is playing except put it to sleep 2. You can't recieve incomming calls on the iPhone while it's playing or call other people 3. Only six skips per hour Overall: This App is the supreme. The best in the whole App Store. If you could only download one App onto your iPod/iPhone I would pick this one. It's great to be able to pick certain artists to listen to instead of listening to whatevers on. At last I can control my own radio! The only thing that really bugs my at all about this App is that you can only skip six times per hours. It would be nice it they made a paid version with unlimited skips. But that's not really a big problem. I really suggest you get this App right now because until you do there will be a gapping Pandora sized hole in your heart.

Pandora is a great app for finding new music. It does a great job of finding the songs that you love with the help of the thumbs up or down button. This app is not for people that want to listen to certain songs at certain times this is a music DISCOVERY APP. It's finds songs that you find appealing and gives you a chance to listen to them before you were to go out and buy them. But if you don't want to do that you can just listen to the songs anyway enjoy them and give them a thumbs up or down to narrow down to the songs that fit your type of music you enjoy. This app is FREE, and we all hate ads, but we hate paying for things more, and to keep themselves afloat they advertise so do not hate Pandora for that.
In Summary:
1. This is a music discovery app and is not for people who want to listen to certain songs at certain times
2. This app does a great job of narrowing down the vast majority of the music library to find songs that fit you and that you love (when using the thumbs up or down button)
3. This app is free and therefore Pandora needs to have ads to keep doing what they do for free
4. If you want to use app this to discover new music find an artist you like but don't have a lot of music for, make a playlist from them, and don't use the thumbs up or down button
5. If you enjoy music get this app it's great and easy to use

I've been a fan of Pandora on personal computers for a few years now. Now it's available for your pocket! You create one or more "stations" based on an artist or song you like, and Pandora's amazing service creates a constant, commercial-free stream of similar music. You can thumb's-up or thumb's-down each song, or skip the ones you decide you don't like, and Pandora constantly fine-tunes your station for you. You can have multiple stations, too, and switch between them instantly. If (like me) you have a taste for uncommon music, no problem, Pandora's library is astonishingly extensive and includes lots of long-ago classics in many, many genres. And did I mention no commercials? And now it's pocketable. In a drive from San Jose to San Francisco, starting with WiFi at my home and continuing with automatic switching between 3G in the populated cities and Edge in the undeveloped portions of I-280, Pandora didn't skip a beat even once. What an amazing testament to the iPhone's groundbreaking capabilities! Beyond the stunning music capabilities is its integration with iTunes. Hear a song you like and want to keep in your own libary? A tap here and a tap there, and it's added to your iTunes basket. Slick! This, folks, is simply the killer app for the iPhone. Recommended. In fact, it's a must-have. You might even say it's one more reason to have an iPhone!

Try to add where u can search by the name they sorta do but it could be better fyi this puts me to sleep at night with all these songs great app they do have it where u search I just didn't find what I wanted and they have tons of songs but by no means all the songs u could ever ask for hope u like my long pointless review with me just saying facts I've found after a couple months I hate u need account for it that just kills me the even better part is if u go to sleep after 20 or 30 minutes it will turn off and u just touch button to turn back on I just wanna see how long I can type because I hate writing but if it's mobile I can do a 40 page paper cause it's just so fun to write stuff aka type stuff and I'm listening to music while typing which just makes it better I listen to pandora tell me if u think I should be an author to a really long pointless book like an auto biography I could type for ages I hope u had fun reading this yea I'm talking to u that guy that's reads reviews and decided to read a 5 pages review about random stuff I just think of so maybe I should just keep typing and never stop this whole thing is nonstop brain work I never stop to make changes or think of what next if it's full of perfect no mistakes thank you auto correct if it's full of random words get out of here auto correct I seriously want to just type forever can I do that

Ever since I was introduced to pandora, I have loved it! I had to upgrade to Pandora One because I'm playing music nearly 24/7. But it's affordable & worth it; No commercials or time limits. It's wonderful for every occasion. From the time I was in high school teeny boppin to now having a 3 month old baby I have had a station for every mood or event. I enjoy a wide variety of music & haven't been disappointed from lack of songs. I put the baby to sleep with spa music & we listen to many different things throughout the day. Through pandora, I don't have go out & buy music it is just one click away staying updated with all the new tunes. I appreciate that I can share the gift of music with my newborn, husband, friends & family. It's great that you can like/dislike a song so they can continue or discontinue playing it. I also enjoy that I am introduced to new music that Iv grown to love and that I wouldn't have learned about otherwise. It can take a while to "shape" a station to be your perfect fit weeding through the songs you like & don't like But Pandora makes this simple with the thumbs up/down buttons :) I do miss the "move this track to another station" button on the iPhone app. But other than that I am a very pleased customer thankful for how Pandora has enhanced my life. Thank you guys!

I have been a user of Pandora for a long time (over 5 years). For about a year I have been a subscriber to Pandora One so that I could listen commercial free, and I feel it is a good value for the money.
Pros:
* User interface is very clean and easy to use
* Extra info on bands, albums, and songs is very interesting
* Variety of musical genres is excellent. Sometimes you feel like classical piano music, and sometimes you have to hear '80's pop, and sometimes you want Oldies from the '50's and '60's. They're all here and more.

Cons:
I can only think of one, and it is basically that sometimes when you listen to a station for about an hour, the songs drift further and further from the intended genre. This implies to me that Pandora probably needs to increase their database of songs to choose from. However, when this happens I just change the station to something else in a different genre and then I'm happy again.
Overall, this is an excellent app that doesn't crash (very seldom), is intuitive to use, and has cool add-ons that allow you to easily tag songs that you like so you can go back and purchase them later, or you can purchase them instantly via the links in the app. Plus NO POP-UPS, which is REALLY GREAT!! Pay for the subscription to support the company - you won't regret it. :-)

I've been a Pandora listener since 2004, when my teenage son told me about "the music genome project". Intrigued, I created a classic rock station and started hearing familiar songs, even the B sides and deep tracks that rarely found their way to radio.

The "commercials" never really bothered me and the new music discoveries were cool, especially in genres I thought I knew already. All in all, it was my replacement for radio. Then my mom went into the hospital.

After a day of mental alertness, mom went into a coma. I knew she liked Gospel music, so I created a station for her to listen to in ICU. At that point, the commercials really interrupted the calm, familiar songs, so I upgraded and haven't turned back.

There are really fewer things in life as enjoyable for $4 a month. I get to hear familiar music and learn of new artists. I can dial up a customized genre when I want it. Now, Pandora has replaced my purchased library for primary listening. I still buy music, but usually after listening to a new artist on Pandora.
So here's what I think: You should really think about upgrading to Pandora One and enjoy a continuous stream of music spanning more than 70 years. All this for $4 a month?! Come on. You know this is a great deal.

I love pandora I can have any kind of music when it comes to my dancing and I have to practice I go to pandora and look up ballet jazz hip hop tap and I have the music in less then a min. When it comes to listening music with my friends I just listen to my tween radio. If I need a love song I go to my prince Royce radio, I guess I can count on pandora if I ever need music or think of music I click or think of pandora. I literally use music all the time so I guess I use pandora all the time. For example chores I have music homework I have my music on or I guess pandora on taking my showers well that's a little tmi, to much info but it's true . The best part about pandora is that it has mixed up songs not repeating the same song over and over again that's why I love pandora so many different songs from different artists and I learn new artist which is amazing cause I learn new songs. Ok well u see my point how amazing pandora is if it didn't exist then I would have to listen to the same songs over and over which to me is boring it would be horrifying, well that's how much I love pandora

Please and thank u. What I want to keep it fresh. Make it easer for me to give a thumbs up or down so I don't have to take my phone out my pocket every time I want to like a song. Have it be a new update and have a on and off toggle switch for people who may not want to use the new feature to quick like dislike songs toggle switch. Trust I'm a dj and I love using pandora my goal is May be work for pandora one day. I'm sure that's only up to the lucky ones in the world or book smart people. But I feel blessed and I want to bless pandora with a new toggle switch witch I would think the world would love. A easy way to go back to my account and see all the like's I'v made in that run. Use the mic clicker as a quick twice to thumbs up and three times to thumbs down. Trust I want to see pandora thrive and inspire for years to come. I believe music inspires people you. It be cool to get a response back I would think I'm not that lucky out of a million likes my message would be read and may be read again. I was fortunate to discover pandora long before most people. I have never been disappointed by their program or updates. I still enjoy the free version, and while yes, it does seem there are quite a few more commercials than there were years ago, if it really starts to bother me the simple solution is to buy the app. My only critiques would be to work on the initial song variety when creating stations based on a certain band or genre. An example being the Delta Rae station I created. They are compared, in almost every review I've read, to Fleetwood Mac, based on there song writing, 4 part harmony, etc, yet I've never heard Fleetwood on that station. I do utilize the "add variety" feature but feel that maybe there could be some improvement there.
Also the song rotation within all "stations" has room for further development. I have created many stations and I can predict exactly which songs I will hear on each because the selection has not changed despite new music continually coming out.
Aside from that, I have always considered myself to be very fortunate to have access to so much beautiful music. I am sure that I will be a user for a long time :)

About 90% of my music comes from listening it on Pandora first, and, then purchasing it on the iTunes store. I'm not a big music enthusiast, but on bus rides to school, while working on CAD/Revit drawings, studying for exams, working on home, playing video games, road trips, and many more occasions Pandora is there to provide some sweet tunes no matter the scenario. I love the music they play, and how they group the same type or genre of music that I may like into stations. It does get annoying to listen to some songs being repeated after awhile but they have greatly widen my music library. I would recommend this app. Maybe when I have money, I will purchase the add-free version to get rid of commercials but right now they aren't that annoying and don't play that often. If you don't have Pandora you should really get it, I've tired other sources and I did not get them, I think this one is easier to navigate then the other ones I've tired... But maybe that's just because the first one I got was Pandora and was too lazy to change. Either way this app is great.

Very minor problems with disconnection while on mobile data but that's usually when I go through dead spots, most problems that I've encountered have been fixed by pandora or aren't big enough to affect my usage of the app. For those who complain with random things popping up on your station like pop on rap, every time you like a song it takes it's genome and adds it to the music search engine so if you don't like the song or don't want it on that station, dislike it! They literally will never make you listen to it again on that station. I see no problems with ads or my station stopping to see if I'm there. It just makes them money to bring us music and ensures they don't waste money to play for no one. Overall a good music app that has a good diversity of songs and good sound quality in which it plays them. The only suggestion I would like to see is the thumbs up/down button on the lock screen, yes, you can go back and like them latter but I feel it would be a great addition to the app.

I was prompted for a review. I've been a Pandora One subscriber for two or three years, I believe, and was an "unpaid user" for about four months before that. I was so impressed with Pandora that I wanted to support it with a subscription. I use it daily at work and am totally satisfied with it. However....

I just read a review of the newest version which highlighted some security concerns. I don't know if those concerns are applicable to both paid and unpaid users, but I will research this more before updating. But, for now, this is one of my MOST USED apps!

UPDATED 26 SEP 2014 - No security problems noted. And here are two more plusses for Pandora... if, like me, your employer prohibits media streaming from work terminals, you can get power from a USB port and run Pandora on your portable device. And when I doing something that doesn't require concentration, I switch from music to a comedy station. I pay for Pandora because it's a great value for a service I use every day!

I've been a Pandora One subscriber for years and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon. It takes a little while to start a station going with likes, dislikes, adding artists, dropping artists, but Pandora opens me up to a different world of my music entertainment. After setting up 4 stations with a broad stroke of genre you can condense it to 1 station that plays music based on what your mood is. For example, I used a Soft Rock station that now plays me music that is mellow, feel good, and a more classic feel of soft rock which I love. Then I'll have a more hard rock/metal station I use to get a more new aged feel while keeping my favorite artists alive in the mix. The people who don't like Pandora are honestly the people who don't know how to use Pandora and have the open mind for music discovery. Thank you, Pandora, because you guys are the main source of my music and I hope to continue using it for years to come.

Let me tell you, in the past, I have not been a gigantic supporter of Apple in general, but I'll say the iphone alone has exceeded my expectations, and Pandora has gone even further than that. For one, It's The closest thing you can have to free music on the iphone. I mean, if you can't afford $5 a month, then a smart phone period shouldn't be a concern of yours.. people wanna complain about not being able to skip as many songs as they want to, but Really, it should only Be an irritant for a short amount of time while you give the app your likes and dislikes as the songs play- it's a very fast learning app, it catches on pretty quick and knows just what to suggest for you. I've been using it for about a month at this point (including both the free and the paid version), and I have not had to skip a song in days. So, to sum it up.. it is DEFINITELY. WORTH. THE MONTHLY. FEE!! And I never EVER say that about ANY app.. Seriously.. Love this app..!!

I've been using Pandora for about a year and I have to say the new update is a good thing and I like it. All the people saying that they don't like it have been using it for a long time and just got used to how things were. I personally have not had any problems finding anything I need to. I like how you can easily see all the thumbs up and thumbs down and other setting for a station when you are listening to it. And it plays what I like, doesn't repeat songs a lot and plays a variety. Also if you thumbs up a song on one station if you have a similar station it will play that song on there too. I think that's cool so it doesn't have to figure out what songs you like by trial and error it can base it off of your other stations. Also I think it has a good amount of skips in the free version. If you use the thumbs up and down then you will rarely have to skip other than for a thumbs down. So overall I love this app and would recommend it.

For a free music app, it's pretty OK, I see faults here and there for instance the amount of skips it now gives you and not having any control of which songs you want to hear in the future, the like button generally helps, but it's not specific as to if you want to hear this song again in the future, or hear more like it. Also, I sometimes come across songs that I like but are in the concert version which I find a bit annoying, I would rather hear the actually recorded song version or if I actually wanted to hear the artists' voice through a blaring microphone and a bunch of screaming fans, I would go to the concert myself. So I find myself in a dilemma of clicking the like button or not. But I can't complain much because I can create stations with roughly around the music I generally like, and it get's me through the day when I am working or doing immense amount of homework. Music can get you through it all.

I love Pandora. I've been listening to It since it was first created in 2000. Nobody even knew what it was for a long time. I eventually upgraded to the paid account at 36 bucks a year which was a steal for high quality music with no commercials. I was a little turned off when they hiked their rates by 60% but i called them up and they put me on the customer loyalty program. Now i pay 3.99 a month instead of 3. The thing I really love about it is how well it knows my tastes. I can put on any one of my 100 stations and know that the music mix will be amazing. I even use it for my business and let customers program their own stations. Just one warning Pandora. If you pull another rate hike like the previous one you will lose me and thousands of others as customers. There are just too many options for music out there. Everyone is trying to get a piece of the pie. For now we are best fair weather friends. ;)

I love pandora! There's a few things though, I wish they could fix for starters, is how they limit me or other possible users of a "100" stations, I love music but I also love listening to a verity of different music so by them only allowing me to have "100" stations drives me crazy, I'd also like to mention that I hate how they limit me to the amount of songs I can go forward I sometimes just like to get a little bit of a song and if it doesn't seem to catch my attention then I say well "hello forward skiping button" but by all means pandora is a great music center you have huge selection of music to find I love that they allow you to choose possible interest based on what I or users have listened too and I think that is awesome sometimes you can find some interesting music and get out of a comfort zone of music you once listened too or preferred. I love pandora!! I hope they can fix these problems((:
