Having used pandora for a couple years. I've used it a couple different ways, the normal artist based station, stations I created combining multiple artists, filtering through the numerous preset stations, I even got really into the comedy stations on pandora. I can't imagine the hours I've spent on a handful of my channels, hell I'm listening right now. But I've noticed a couple things the algorithm doesn't pick up on. For example, Pandora thinks that Marylyn Manson, Slipknot, and Korn, belong on the same station as Rob Zombie, Static-X, and Powerman 5000. Which is okay, no problem, it can learn that I don't prefer those bands correct? Wrong! I have a trailing list of songs I've taken the time to thumbs down, because Pandora can't get over how similar it finds the artist. I'd really like to add some kind of anti-seed at this point. Nonetheless I'll keep spending countless hours using Pandora.

Though I've not used this app in its most recent previous versions, so I therefore have no basis of comparison like most negative reviews (currently), I love Pandora and have used it for years on other devices/the web. I'm able to easily create, rate, view past rated songs or add thumbs if needed, and shape my stations as easily as any other means available online. I actually enjoy this app's functionality, more so than the web version, which in my previous device's (ps3, chromecast) usage was always a little clunky and cumbersome. It beats the heck out of iTunes Radio which I'm usually stuck with on my apple products... The song variety and rating versatility is just heads and shoulders above the limited iTunes programming. I'm a decade long Apple/Mac/iDevice user too... Something to be said for all the years of work put into the Music Genome Project. Thanks Pandora! Glad to have you back!

Great for parties, studying, chillen, whenever wherever! I wake up in the morning and no matter what mood I'm in pandora always seems to find music I appreciate. Suggestion though don't like and dislike every song only use those options for strongly opinion songs. Once you hit that option you only can like it or dislike it. So basically you'll hear it a lot or never again. The more stations you have picked the more you'll like it. Don't like that I get 5 or 6 skips for every hour but it has made me appreciate music a little bit more forcing me to listen the the whole thing. A little cheat is if you use your skips on shuffle pick one artist you like, if you use the again, pick another artist till that hour is up. Then make sure when you go back to shuffle either add or delete some artist on the list. 5 stars because pandora learned my fav songs and keeps up to date with new music. (:

I Really Do Love Pandora! I've Had An Account For Over 6 Years Now! I Do Think That People Who've Had Pandora And That Actively Use It Multiple Days For Almost Every Month For Over 4 Years Straight Should Be Given Pandora One For Free As A Thanks/Gratitude For Being Pandora Fans/User For That Long On A Regular! I Like The Stations Provided, But Sometimes There's A Lot Of Songs That Are Played On Stations Of Genre, Artist, Albums That Aren't Similar/Relevant To Each Other Like On My Kevin Gates Station I First Heard Sam Smith's Song "Stay With Me" Which Is Honestly From A Completely Different Genre Of Music&Fans. I've Even Heard Taylor Swift "Shake It Off" & I Forgot Her Name But The Song That Came Out This Year Called "All About That Bass" Which All Of Those Have No Similarities In The Music To Kevin Gates Station. Other Than That I Love Pandora! I'm A True Pandora Fan!

Everyone is so quick to complain about things. Pandora is a blessing. Music is art, a way to learn. To offer it for free is so amazing. You tell pandora what you prefer and pandora offers you more knowledge (variety of music). What you listen says a lot about you. And listening to new music (which pandora graciously offers) allows you the opportunity to learn, to grow, as an individual. Pandora has the power to change the world. If you pick a sad song it can back that up with songs that can push you to get though the bad and learn to see the good. It can open your eyes and soul if you let it. that is why I pay for my pandora. I support what I believe pandora has the capacity to do. I would love to get a job helping advertise for pandora. I am very passionate about my beliefs and have so many ideas about how to expand pandora's already popular name.

I've been using pandora since 2004 and their library of underground electronic, math rock and rap music have all become much broader and easy to navigate. Constantly bringing new tunes to my ears, Pandora is a fast, simple way for me to find new music all the time- without invading my privacy or demanding any kind of commitment or even effort from me. Being able to add variety through attaching multiple artists to a single station is extremely useful, especially in the workplace where you more than likely will have a diversity of musical taste in your co-workers' preferences. The comedy end of the app has improved significantly as well, being able to find new comedians and even just confine stations to a few of a particular comedy style is fantastic. In my opinion, Still the best way to find new music for casual listeners and audiophiles alike.

This app has been there for me when I'm feeling down and I need to be alone with my thoughts and it's been there after winning games and I want to celebrate and just dance to myself.. I especially like the act that you can make the stations by how you feel like "meditation" and has so many different genres and variety in music. What I don't like is the fact that you can't pick the next song and if you're out of skips and you unlike a song then you have to listen to it anyways. They should make the unlike button a free skip button, it takes the un liked songs from the variety of songs that will be played so you can't just skip it and then say you like it. Otherwise this app is great and I'm really glad I found it- music just helps me through life and this is one of the apps that I use the most.

I know the reason that most people are just giving pandora 4 stars is because of the limited number of skips even for paying customers

It's still awesome. Free music is so wonderful and to have a selection of music at your fingertips is even better. This is definitely a good app for parties and get togethers or if your just a very indecisive person and can't really pinpoint what exactly you want to listen to (me). It saves the hassle of searching far and wide and high and low for music especially when your the DJ and people want to dance and have fun (or you just want to dance and have fun

I complaint once about the amount of commercials on Pandora, it plays a specific genre of your liking and just when lost in a dimension outside of common reality due to melodic sounds that were forgotten or never heard of, just in that point when ecstasy starts to creep up and you feel like you're about to take it to a level unknown to you previous perception, an advertisement for a car that claims to drive it self interrupts with a loud annoying overly compressed voice indicating where one can find such things.
At that point I realized, someone has to cover for the expenses of running such a wonderful tool as Pandora. So, the logical solution was to PAY, a very reasonable fee and receive uninterrupted journeys through sound. I recommend all who love Pandora to do just that.

Love the app, I have my stations set up by artist and genre. So if I feel in a HipHop type of vibe the I hit the era of HipHop from 80s, 90s, etc. If I want my R&B got a station for that as well. Motown, Jazz, and Soul are set up also. If you don't like the app or the program just think of what you would want to listen to and the app puts together that artist and other artist you might be interested in listening to also. If you don't like that song, "dislike it" and it will not play that song anymore. It customizes what you like to listen to. My take a couple of minutes to get use to but once you get it, works like clock work. Great app I listen to what I want to listen to and not what's playing five times in three minutes on the radio. Try it out.

All in all pandora is by far my favorite app on my phone . Sure I don't get "enough" skips .. And sure I get ads unless I want to pay every year for none. But I use the app and don't really care what is playing and I like being surprised with what's gonna turn on.! I like having it have all dif kinds of songs and genres and it tries to please you. In my opinion if you have a problem with it then just delete it . I think it's a good app and I use it everyday . It has all dif kinds of stations on mine so if I'm not in the mood for one thing I can just change it to another and if it keeps playing things I don't want on one thing then I change it to another station until I find the one that satisfies my cravings . I love the app personally .

I am a very on-the-go person, and when I'm not going somewhere I am doing some sort of work. One of my great joys in life is music, and this app gives me music throughout the day without fail. I love discovering new artists based on my past preferences, and constantly being exposed to the beauty each artist has to offer. Without Pandora, it's likely that I would not be able to stay awake most of the day and night, and it's my favorite way to wake up in the mornings. Seldom do I have my phone when this app is not running. I look forward to continuing to use this app more than I probably should, and I am excited for any new updates to come! How they could make it better I still don't know, but I wish them all the luck in the world!

Listen peeps, IT'S FREAKN' FREE!!! Pandora one only eliminates the ads. The way it works for me is like this; pick an artist, then as they play new artist or similar, you thumbs up/thumbs down. Then you go to the "Add Variety" tab on the selection screen then you can add an artist to the one your listening, and begin to weed out the ones you don't care for. Pandora will eventually go on this little music run, playing thumbed up consecutive songs. I pay for no Ads, and extremely content with it. I also have
iheart radio and they are notorious for repeating your thumbed up songs every 45 mins. Which I also enjoy. But pandora will interject some really new and cool stuff I can jam with. Laters fellow music lovers!!!

This app is so great at picking and choosing songs that you personally enjoy. Just make sure to use the like and dislike carefully. If there is one song that you don't like only a little bit, and you click like because you like it more than you dislike it, pandora will start playing other songs that you could like but also songs that you might not like at all. So, that's my advice. Other than that, use your skips sparingly, and if you use the like and dislike carefully, you won't really need to skip your songs in your radio station playlist. Overall, 5 stars for this free music player app. Only thing I wish is that I had Internet with my phone plan so I could always listen wherever I go, but wifi will have to do.

Pandora is easily the best way to listen to music. It provides a functioning self-selected system that allows the listener to select which songs they like and don't like. From there, the app is capable of playing music similar to the things you like, and defers from playing music similar to the songs you dislike. Additionally, after a song gets overplayed on the radio and it just irritates you to hear it, simply select "I'm tired of this track" and the app will no longer play it. At any time you can change anything you say just to fit your mood. The possibility of creating several stations can help you listen in any mood. Best of all, it's FREE. Overall, my favorite music app of all time.

I use the pandora app every day. Just a suggestion - would it be against the license agreement to allow users the ability to repeat a song that is currently playing? It would be nice if I could press a repeat button to listen one of my favorite tunes a second time. Just to be clear, this is different than allowing users to just play any song at any time (for longer than 30 seconds). It would allow the user to elect to repeat a song WHILE its playing. The only other complaint I have is that dozens of songs that I elect to buy from the iTunes Store come up as "not found". Then when I go and search for it on iTunes manually, I usually find the song. Is this a common issue?

Pandora is an awesome app for listening to music where ever you are. Pandora has a great selection of Dubstep (just my opinion) that I can work out with and do homework and what not. Pandora has gotten tremendously better over the years and it is used by billions of people. Just type in a station or artist or song, and boom! Music to jam to in the palm of your hands. I just have one comment. Whenever I am in the car, Pandora will not load and I cannot listen to music. I don't know if it is the service or what, but I just would like to listen to Pandora in the car. I hope you guys take note of this and fix it. Keep getting better!! I enjoy Pandora and I give it 5 stars!

No ads is the way to go, have been paid member for a few years. Great app
they have everything from stand up comedy to techno. I listen everywhere I go and it's very convenient for me.
There could be a few more skips allowed which would help cause some days pandora picks everything I want to hear and some days it takes a few songs. And I've been noticing something wrong with the song times they are like 2345 minutes long any song any station all the time and it doesn't affect anything but it's kinda annoying.
Overall 5 stars cause I wouldn't be a continued member paying for something I don't love. 2 thumbs and 5 stars great app!!!!

I'm absolutely willing to pay a monthly fee to use such an intuitive music listening service, commercial free. It would certainly be more convenient to use Spotify's radio feature, because I could add songs to playlists directly from the app. However, there's really no beating Pandora when it comes to knowing exactly what you mean when you choose a certain artist, song, album, or genre to create a personalized radio station.
It's great for background music in my room, or when I just can't decide what to listen to and want to discover some new music. I'm consistently amazed at how well it picks the right songs and artists to recommend.

I love pandora. I use it all the time! My kids love it and we listen to radio Disney together every night before bed. facebook is my most used app, this is my second most used app. I listen to it every day & enjoy the variety within the stations; helps me discover new music! Just a very genius, inventive, interactive, creative & original approach to listen to music we love!
We all love Pandora! My husband mows the yard jamming to Hank Jr.! I listen to enya's station to help me fall asleep. I turn on a fitness or ZUMBA station if I need to get some serious exercise going or housework done!! Works great for everyone!
