Most of us choose our credit card company for the services/benefits they provide only to later discover their sometimes crappy or inexistent mobile app.
If, however, you are looking for the best credit card apps to decide which service to apply for, then I can assure you this is by far the best mobile banking app in the UK (*I haven't tested all of them and I am, of course, subjective).
Simple and efficient would be the best way to describe it.
And the actual service and benefits for the Barclaycard are not bad either.
If any of the app developers are reading, this is a list of features I would like to see added or improved:
• multitasking; the app should allow going back and forward with different apps to allow to copy data to an email for example;
• that loading animation is annoying, especially when you consider I have to watch it every time I need to do something like the above example;
• showing the date AND time of a transaction;
• display amount and have the ability to request payment of earned cashback (it used to work before the cards changed);
• iPad version of the app;
• login using fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 5S;

Love my barclaycard app. So easy to use with passcode. Also includes experian credit score now which is handy for future reference. I was stupid enough though, when I first got my card, to forget my login details and my oh my what a rigmarole trying to sort it out. Got completely locked out and had to phone customer service for help, whom I may add were very friendly and helpful and got me back up and running. Whilst I do appreciate the high level of security, an online option would be great or at least advise us to phone customer service right away rather than clicking on "forgot sign in details" which gets you absolutely nowhere quickly. Otherwise love the app, love the card. Maybe a few more wee perks other than discount of insurance would be a hit:)

Great app for me as I am doing almost all of my finances online now. Gives me peace of mind that I can view and control what I have spent and repaid. Also saved money recently when I decided to try and clear £2,300 balance ASAP . Managed it in 5 months, so you can imagine how much interest I saved say had I spread that over one year or two. It's definitely a tip I would recommend, repay maximum you can per month. If you realise you've overdone it then use the card where necessary, you haven't lost anything. If you manage to survive month without doing that then job done. I went for £500 per month, seems a lot and it is but it teaches you how to be strict with your spending.

Such a simple app that saves so much time when paying the monthly bill or checking the card balance.
Thumb print log-on would be nice for the iPhone as like everyone I've so many passwords for everything, but it's no big deal.
Thoroughly recommend.

Can not give five stars because it is only good to check your balance and not make payments. A little disappointed.
Have changed my mind since the last update there has been a lot of improvements , covering all features. Well done Barclays Xxx

Just started using my Barclaycard app and I must say it's a lot better than some other banking apps. It provides different functions than others which is very helpful, like viewing your pin, viewing your credit rating etc. Overall, I'm happy!

This app couldn't be easier to use, I am so happy they made the changes. I love I have all the information at my fingertips.
I keep finding more things it does to make my life easier.

This app is perfect to monitor what you have spent, have left, make payments and even check your credit score. I love it! Another thing for Barclays that's is a total win for me!

I love this app! So easy and convenient! Does exactly what I need it too! So much easier than calling to pay my bill and means at any time or place I can log on and pay!

Easy for balance and payments. Security great with access code needed for app each time you navigate away from it.
