Make vital decisions about current capacity and voltage drop on the job. Save valuable time and ensure your cable decisions are compliant.
Now covers 12 most common cable types and configurations installed in up to 10 different installation conditions, all as per AS3008. Conductor types copper, copper flexible and aluminium are covered.
Checking voltage drop is also a breeze. Just insert the length of your cable route. The voltage drop and percentage voltage drop are calculated instantly. Warnings are given if this value exceeds 5% and 10%
There is also provision for manual input of derating factors for cable grouping, ambient temperature and soil temperature.
Now also includes quick calculators for approximate motor current and approximate maximum unsheathed cables in conduit.
