I see that no one else is addressing this issue so I am going to try. I see there are a few 1star reviews and without fail they are complaining about this app being too slow. People!! You must understand a very simple rule with this. IF you add $100 at a time (quick cash or whatever they call it) it is ALWAYS available within 5-10minutes unless you are in a bad service area. More than once I have been walking up to a counter to order something and added money on the way and it was there in time to buy! So here is the trick, only add as much at a time as the quick cash lets you. You can add $100 at a time as many times as you want up until the daily limit. If you try to add $200-$1000 at a time it WILL take longer because then Google has to formally contact your bank and clear it with them before they can clear it (which it clearly says in the description: may take 5-7 business days to complete.) BUT ONLY if you try to add more than $100 at a time!!
So basically I can add $100 5x each day which is $500. $500 x 7 is $3500/week $3500x4 is $14,000/month If you need more than $14,000 a month on a cash card then I certainly hope you are making more per year than I am!! Lol but seriously folks, thanks abunch for listening to me drone on. Thank you and have a wonderful New Years!!

I don't know why I see all these bad reviews.. I've been using this app, and the card for at least 6 months to a year. Every time I use it I get whatever I'm going to buy. Go to the register. let them scan everything. Look to see what the total is, add it to the card, and within 10-15 seconds it's there. Never once had any issues except at this Chinese restaurant where the total came out to 6.20, and she kept charging 7.44. It took me making her re swipe the car 5 times before I realized what she was doing. Because I only put 6.20 on the car it kept being declined for not having enough money. Let's just say it worked when she put the correct amount in. So this card may save you from someone over charging you as long as you do what I do. If you add the amount of money you're going to use for a week at a time then it still could because you get the notification on your phone as soon as it goes through telling you the exact amount. Works perfect for me. No issues with the app, card, service, anything.

This app makes my life so much easier! When I go out with friends it makes it so simple to split the check and if my best friend is out shopping I can pay her right there if she finds something I would like. LOVE THAT! Also, I recently had an issue where I went out of town and purchased $20 in gas at a CEFCO and someone came behind and me and purchased $32 for themselves. Jerks! I thought I had everything closed out when I left but I guess not. Well, I noticed two days later the charge and contacted customer service through the app. I spoke with a representative named Brittany and she was very understanding and helpful! They typically do not lift charges once they have been posted for longer than 24 hours but she was able to speak with her superior and had my account refunded in minutes! I will continue to use my google wallet with confidence :) I am a very satisfied user!

I absolutely love Google wallet. Like the reviewer just before me, I'm a "from the ground up" commissioned and struggling business person. Google wallet has been so very useful for me! I have several accounts, and when I get the cards in the mail I give them to people that I pay money to. For example, my son's mother makes manner pay child support just because we aren't married even though we LIVE together right cause that skeezyho likes to drink and who knows what else but I pay her using a Google wallet card that I SET UP! I can make instant proof of payments in case she tries to lie in court again, and I can also see where she spends the money with the emails every transaction! It's wonderful especially because I don't even think she knows I get the emails!!

I have a few different bank accounts, and I have them all linked to my google wallet. If I want to add money to my Wallet balance, I can choose which account to transfer from and the transaction happens almost instantaneously. I love that if my wallet gets stolen, it's only x amount that's on my Wallet balance that could be stolen, rather than my checking account's entire balance. I usually keep my wallet balance low which actually helps me to keep track of my spending better. You get an instant--and I literally mean instant, like as soon as they swipe your card in their machine your phone vibrates with a notification of the charge--update to your transactions list. I would be over the moon if they would make this able to be used outside of the US.

Great way to keep track of your funds! Better than Apple Pay because you actually get a physical card with actually money. Better than PayPal because you don't need to send in your drivers license. And for the prepaid cards and credit cards thing: For prepaid cards, most are accepted anyway. For credit cards, just directly link your bank account. If for some reason your prepaid isn't accepted, add it to your bank account and then add that to your google wallet. For the bad customer service, just ask forums online. There are almost no fees. And for the thing for it to take to long to get to the money to the bank, YOU SHOULDN'T USE IT FOR BUSSINESS as stated in the terms of use if you actually read it. Solved all your problems.

I have been using square cash for a long time. But recently, I had a client that needed to be able to accept business payments preferably without paying transaction fees. Square cash charges businesses 2.75% and limits personal transaction amounts. Google wallet is awesome because they charge no transactions to regular people and businesses! That makes a big difference for small businesses that have a very small profit margin on their sales. My client does not make much to begin with, and she makes even less when she has to process credit cards or use square cash and pay a fee on payments from her clients. So glad to have Google wallet! It's hard to believe they do all this for free! Awesome app and service!

I'm very glad that Google decided to bring its Wallet app to iOS. I was waiting for it a long time. In a way it's better than iOS native app Passbook. Because Passbook doesn't allow you to add Loyalty Cards that do not have Passbook integration in the app. For example, app for CVS Pharmacy does not have Passbook integration. So when I tried to scan my CVS ExtraCare Card it said "No Pass Available For This Card".
But when I went into Google Wallet App, it easily allowed me to add that card. All I had to do just scan the card and give it a name; now I have my CVS ExtraCare card with me in the Goole Wallet App, so it goes wherever I go!! Pretty good!!!

Before Google wallet I used to require my tenants to do a direct deposit into my bank account or send a check. Those methods were slow, time intensive, and they cost money.

I have since given my tenants the option to send me the rent through Google wallet and they seem to like it considering that I've only received the rent from Google wallet. There are no fees from my end or from the tenants end.

I also occasionally use it to load some cash into it when I go visit a sketchy restaurant or store because I control how much is in the card at any given time and can lock it as I please.

And I also use it to pay back friends and family or to receive money from friends and family that owe me.

I use Google wallet to pay my babysitter and other people who I would have paid with a check in the past. I stopped using checks some 3-4 years ago. I also use PopMoney for some people who prefer it, but Google wallet is so much easier; I can complete a transaction in literally 30 seconds from start to finish. I have yet to be on the receiving end of a transaction, so I can't speak for that, except to say that I've never had anyone experience trouble receiving their funds, which I can't say about PopMoney. Overall a great, easy to use app that provides an easy way to send/receive money for those of us who have left checks and cash behind in the stone ages where they belong.

With all the fuss over the loyalty cards being removed I just wonder if anyone decided to check their email since you did send one out saying this was gonna happen and provided a permanent link to access them and provided instruction on adding them to Apple Wallet...not your fault they can't read.

Anyways, this is still an essential app since myself and wife send money back and forth all the time. I like the idea of also loading my card with exactly what I'll need for the day vs hitting an ATM or risking my debit card being stolen. The ability to lock the card down and secure my money is an awesome edition to this app.

This thing is the bomb. My money hits instantly from my bank, you can use it like a credit card in fraud ridden areas, and it just flats out works. My bank is Wells Fargo and I made a deposit this morning at 10:55am and at 10:55am it showed in my available balance for use. And status complete.

I gave a card to both of my kids and load $5 a week automatically on there for them as a allowance. I have a extra card for myself if I ever need it.

The best part is you can lock the card. You can also create a new account and give a card to someone you want to give money to and monitor go they spend. This is the best thing google has created since gmail.

PayPAL has a reputation for being a safe and effective way to get money from point A to point B but as far as I'm concerned nothing could be easier or faster than Google Wallet!

It has a simple and straightforward interface (which connects seamlessly with the rest of the Google family of APPS) but more importantly, money transfers (both in and out) are instantaneous! The documentation is clear, it's safeguards are reliable and it just plain works.

Bravo Google, for distilling another half balked idea of supposed technology giants, and turning them into simple and reliable APPS that actually work!

I have had a tough year or two financially. My business has not been in black for four years. I ended up with eight item overdrafts about a year ago at US Bank. All fees. The eight items included soap, shaving cream, ramen noodles, cookies, deodorant, toothpaste, a metro swipe, and a balance inquiry. Cut to now still in Chex Systems, treated like a murderer even suspended by PayPal . This card is giving me hope and humanness. I don't have to embarrassingly pay with prepaid cards that Uber refuse again. Thank you Google. This is going to give the ultra poor a chance to believe in hope and get out of lack.

This app has made money exchanges sooooo easy. By boyfriend and I used to write eachother checks to pay for rent and bills, now I send him money through the google wallet. No more checks. I live out of state from my parents and are still on there phone bill, sending them the monthly payment through google wallet is a snap. It's free for exchanges and takes the money right out of my bank account. Super easy. I can send a request to my friends to pay me back for tickets I bought to a show. All you need is a gmail account and you can request and send to anyone. Google is very reliable and I love the app.

I love this app!! It makes life so much easier. My friends and I started using it to pay our friend rent instead of having to run to the bank for cash (who uses checks anymore?) and it's helped when we all go out and it's just easier for one of us to buy tickets and then have the others pay us back. Since I moved away from home and had trouble finding employment right away it was a convenient way for family to send me money when I was in a bind. I also use the option of the Wallet card so I don't have to wait for money to transfer to my bank account, I can just use the card right away!

I'm loving the variety financial apps that have been popping up on the App Store. Budgeting and organizing my savings has never been so simple. I haven't quite figured exactly how I'll utilize this google account, but I've been depositing my "pocket money" on it so far; my banking and credit card budgeting has become that much easier to track. I haven't gotten a chance to use the transfer features but it seems to be perhaps a better alternative than PayPal, the app is incredibly user friendly and I imagine I'll be using this account more and more in time.

Great app. Have had it for years and only a minor problem occasionally. Telephone customer support is rare with these types of cards and it is very welcomed here. Makes solving any problems that do come up so much easier than email and waiting, etc. Does what it's supposed to do and isn't intrusive while working and using your phone and other apps. I do have more than one "wallet" type applications, but Google is the only one I've taken the time to rate. I recommend it. Please remember this is just one person's opinion and your mileage may vary. Peace.

I use wallet increasingly for transferring money between relatives and sharing expenses with friends and roommates. I even use it to pay my landlord! Amazing how simple, fast, and convenient it is to move money and pay for items online. PayPal is in trouble, as I plan to completely eliminate my account. I don't think I'll be needing my banks external transfer feature either... Please continue to support this app. In my opinion, no more features need to be added as long as it stays this reliable and easy to use... Anything else is icing on the cake

I've had a wallet account for years but just now put it to use. Rather than pull back and fourth from my savings to checking, I use this as my side account to put all my monthly expenses like cell phone and rent. Now I know exactly how much I have in my savings and how I have for fun money.

My one request would be to add a memo box when depositing money into my Wallet account. This way I can better remember what I deposited the money for in the first place. But even without that it's still a great app and worth a try.
