This is a great app, you can increase your credit score base on every single advice that you can get from the app, taken advantage that you can see every movement on your account . But I guess that the oldest version was a littler better than this one just because on the oldest app you can see a chart for every single chapter where did you see the percentage and based on this you can get your best way to increase your score ,for example , on the account used they had a chart where you can find the porcentage for every single use : 0-29% excellent , 30-40 % good , 45-55% fair and less than 60% bad , maybe theses not an exactly number but it is something like that . So based on this you know how you are working with your credit card . Right now you can know which one is your porcentage but you do not know which one is the best percent .

I've used his app for a little under a year and it has drastically changed the way I manage my credit and look at my credit. I'm not so sure it's 100% accurate considering I recently bought a new car and the dealer said my score was actually 15 points higher than what Credit Karma reported. I WILL however say with allllllll of the useful tips and other literature, it's the EASIEST way to quickly learn the absolute basics and no-fluff information on credit. I have relied on this app for several months as I've increased my credit over 40 points while using it. It keeps me abreast with what my score is doing based on what I'm paying off/down. Highly recommend this app. Only downside is that the recent updates appear to no longer show when the next "credit score update" is. I miss that. It only now shows when it was "last updated".

CK is an awesome app. It is not the end all and it is not meant to be the end all. People on here who are giving bad reviews because they don't read. It's understandable why they have low credit scores. A guy really said that he's mad at the CK app because he relied on the info to get a loan and was denied. Frankly if you're relying on a free credit app then I wouldn't trust you with a loan either. There is no app out there that will give you the exact credit information and score for free, those that will cost, and usually a hefty fee (my idea of hefty is $30 per month). This CK app is meant to just be a quick reference guide to help manage your credit. Don't be dumb. If you need an actual accurate score, then go pay for that, but don't give CK a bad score because you're not smart enough to use it right.

This app has been extremely helpful to me. You can easily navigate and understand your score, your credit history, and much more. It takes a look at your score and then recommends the best card out on the market to best suit your needs. There is not a week that I go through that I don't reference this app and base my actions on the information. It's kept great track of my credit history and helped me evaluate myself. Thus allowing to make changes to my spending habits in accordance to what the numbers read. I'm a 20 your with a very high credit score and I can't say I'd be this current and up to date without this app. I highly recommend this app to any and all users interested in keeping a eye- or two- on there creditworthiness.

I had no credit at so I got a Secure credit card with capital one and I started to build my credit but how can I monitor and build my credit if I can't see what is happening with my credit or understand how it work, many websites want you to pay for them to show you your credit ? First thing first why pay for something is already yours second they will charge you once you cancel and months later they still do it the way you get away is by canceling your card that work for me anyway the best option I had was credit karma thank God I found it now I have my first card thanks to them because I was able to bring my score up by know un how credit work and looking at it almost all the time lol please advertise this more It wold had Ben better for me if I knew this app was out there earlier

All the information for your credit report with Credit Karma is coming from TransUnion which is one of the big three credit agencies. It is the best way to know instantly if your credit has been compromised or defrauded.

I was alerted when my credit score dropped 30 points instantly! A well known credit card company had changed the number of a credit card that belonged to my deceased husband and listed it as my card! I was legally not responsible for the card. I thought this would take months to straighten out. I reported the fraudulent card and the whole matter was erased with all three major credit reporting agencies within a week! I would have never known until I went to buy my new computer and probably would have been turned down. I highly recommend this App!

Yesterday I used credit karma since my husband and I were looking to purchase another car. I checked my score and I was at a 766. However I was still nervous at the dealership since I heard that the FICO score is lower when they pull it from the three credit bureau. Dealer comes by and tells me, you have a 769. What?! I thought it would be lower. Bottom line, I was please that credit karma had a lower score then what the normal score would be. Maybe they can do that more often so individuals won't have a panic attack if the really FICO is 20pts lower. The app is great!! I like that I can use Touch ID to check my score and the list of open accounts and balances.

I will be recommending this app and credit karma to friends and family.

They DONT do a hard inquiry on your credit to get a TON of great information. Great to have even if it's only for security- they notify you if any hard inquiry and of any newly opened account- and any existing account. They definitely do advertise and promote capital one credit cards like crazy, HOWEVER- you don't HAVE to look at them and they aren't pushed into your view in any way... So just be careful not to trust that you need every credit card offer that they make... And use it for what it's worth: staying up to date with your credit rating and up to date on any and all changes to your accounts. Use it for the peace of mind that you know what's on your reports and knowing you'll see if anyone's trying to use your information...

What a great tool to have on my Smart Phone on a daily basis! I can look at this app anytime and know exactly what to do if anything looks strange. Had my credit used by another in the 90's that ruined me for 15 years, so I know the importance of having good credit, and how it can destroy your life without it. Thank you Credit Karma! Definitely get this app. You won't regret it. And it's free! This is a great asset! This was written awhile back: upgrade Jan 2016- as Josh said in his comments, this last upgrade to Credit Karma definitely wasn't well. No longer as much information and no explanations up front as to why changes occur.. Do not like this last update at all.. But still, love Karma the best..

It's meant to get not an accurate, but your most probable credit score. It should be off of about approximately 10 to 20 score the most. Therefore, you are getting a good baseline of where your standing is. The most thing you can get out of this is to help you manage your accounts to be able to PAY THEM OFF, or at least lower them substantially where they are not lowering your score (credit utilization). It will pull ALL your revolving accounts, even ones in collection and closed off! Bonus features now are: being able to dispute inaccuracy, spending tracker, suggestions, and offers! Thank you! I have been a faithful user for many years and it definitely helped me buy a brand new Volvo for the first time .

Get to know if you have any debts in collection at your fingertips. I've been getting better at monitoring my credit these past few years but the convenience of this app let me raise my score a solid 16 points because I had no idea I had two small medical bills that went into collections ('moved and the dr figured it'd be easier to report it than call me... smh). It's also a great motivator - I'd moved from fair to good by the time I got the app but I'm finally at 'excellent'. You really can't beat the investment since it's free and since then I've called my auto loan provider and credit card company and have saved a lot on interest. The offers are tempting but I don't need them now and they don't push them.

This truly "free" app changes the landscape of personal credit management. It not only returns your current credit score but also provides context as to why it is what it is. Understanding the drivers behind why your score goes up and down provides the necessary information you need to manage and improve it (if you need to). Not only do I think this is one if those most useful apps I've ever used, I genuinely appreciate having it as opposed to going to the individual credit services and sorting this information out and sometimes having to pay for it. Also, the improvements they have made to it since I first downloaded it have been very well thought out and increase its usefulness and value... Well done!

Growing into an adult comes with its pains and mistakes. I'm a lot more diligent about how I manage my money and my credit now. Having your score staring you in the face at the touch of a button really pushes you to try to move that little needle. I went from sub 600 to 735 in a few years. I credit that in large part to credit karma. I've since pushed my family members to use it and they too have improved and started to take control of their credit. This may have changed the fortune of not only me but my family for years and generations to come. I cannot say enough about this app. This truly displays how technology can be used to enrich and enhance lives ! Carry on credit karma folks!

This app is incredible . I have raised my score quite a bit since I got this app a few months ago closed out some accounts in collection that didn't even exist , they were errors that I discovered by using Credit Karma .
I had one account that said nine years old account still open so I called them to close it because I saw this on credit karma ,and when I called they zeroed out what was nothing but interest that I was paying on a card that had long since been paid off , the Credit card company did not notify me that I was only paying interest on this card that I would have never discovered was only interest and they closed out balance to zero .

I highly recommend this app. It lets me take a snapshot of my daily credit score and helps me consciously continue to improve my current score. In the last six months that I've had this app I have increased my credit score by a minimum of 50 point I don't believe I would be this conscious about my credit score if it wasn't for credit Karma and ability to view it daily. I also like the fact that there is an easy way to contest anything that is negative on your credit score that should not be there. I also like the recommendations for ways to improve my credit score, if you do not have this app I would suggest and recommend that you give it a try. And yes, it is absolutely free.

I had seen their commercials about 1,000 times without ever giving it any serious consideration. I'm young with limited credit history so I started in the early 600s with the Cap One app with their free credit tracker, last summer. I'm now progressing through the 700s and this app is so far superior, I couldn't be happier. Intuitive yet high quality layout, regularly updated results and plenty of information on how to interpret and optimize your score. You won't get your FICO score, but you'll get reporting from 2 of 3 bureaus which is plenty of perspective. I'd recommend this to anyone interested in achieving the best credit score and offers they can get.

My five-star rating is for Credit Karma project itself; hat's off!

Although it provides FAKO score, given that FICO is never a free thing, CK is a real blessing for the newbies, like me, in the world of credit financing.

It's 'full credit report' feature is a true guideline and is potentially a lifesaver!

This iOS client needs little improvements; some more features to be added perhaps. Yet one of the best free apps in the store indeed!

At least on great feature to be mentioned of is its passcode pattern feature: unlike many other finance apps (where you need to put your full credentials with u/n and p/w), passcode saves much of your time!

First off I have to say kudos to Credit Karma for making this a free service. I was a 647 score 6 months ago, now I'm a 738 and 9 cards later
I can be approved for just about anything. Do I need that many cards??? No,
but it has helped raise my score significantly. Note you do have to manage these and keep your balance below 30% of the cards limit, pay on time and clear up anything negative as far as collections on your credit report. The balance to card ratio to Credit limit ratio really helps out. I expect to be 760 by August.
I use my Credit Karma app every week, it's a big self-esteem booster!!! When that score goes up and you get that new card...

I saw the TV ads like everybody else and became curious so I investigated the product using my iPhone on Google to search out reviews. I found reviews that praised the product and it seemed to me that the reviewers were paid to be that positive. Well, I'm certainly not paid and after having used Credit Karma for several months I'm convinced that this is one of the best products available. It's not just a credit score app. It provides a multitude of information and explains everything it provides you. Yes, it's absolutely free and worth much more than any paid app I've seen. If you care about your credit don't hesitate to check out Credit Karma.

Credit Karma has helped me bring my credit from "Very Poor" to "Poor" and I'm on my way to "Fair". May not sound great, but considering where I was less than nine months ago, my life has improved immensely! I will continue to use this app (as well as the website) to increase my credit rating and get on track. I'm able to pay my bills ON TIME for the first time in years! It's liberating and confidence building!
Update: my credit rating has GONE UP 10 POINTS! I started using the guidelines and even got a secured card through Credit Karma! And I'm going to keep using the app and online site to continue increasing my credit rating! Feels good!
