I'm so glad for FONGO being there when bell canada started being risky to use for landline and cell service
Is have my landline tired up by 3 other people on my line talking - very weird with bell canada.

On Howardforum someone mentioned FONGO being the best to turn to.
I will always remember the excitement the first time of it working with wifi - yes I was over joyed to say the least!!!
It was free no charge so thankful I am !
I turned to Fongo, and will always appreciate the app, and the techs who help with the setup and little adjustments or suggestions needed as I began to use Fongo more and more.
Its amazing with so many functions and options - the history of your calls, the copy of your messages sent to your email automatically, its been working really well with volume and speaker is very handy. The ads I got rid of, texting I love. I hope fongo adds more handy options -I'm hooked!
I just wish I could kind of thank FONGO over the phone not just via emails.
FONGO is a life line for my mom in her 80's in Edmonton I check on her health and things daily from Waterloo ontario via FONGO free canada wide long distance - thank god for the person or people that invented FONGO!
Please work on cell service for us

Every Canadian with an iPad or iPod touch should use this app if they want to make and receive phone calls involving mobile or landline phones. It's that good.

I need a mobile phone only from time to time, but I don't have a cellphone because I choose to avoid relatively costly monthly cel plans.

Fongo on my cellular iPad mini is my phone of choice and it has worked well for me in Canada and internationally. I have used it for years and the service just keeps getting better.

When the iPad is tucked away in my backpack or otherwise just out of reach I use my iPod touch as a hotspot-connected extension. It's almost like having a small, light iPhone in my shirt pocket.

If I had an improvement to propose it would be for the app to use the handoff/continuity feature enabled in iOS 8.1 to allow incoming calls to ring through to several devices at once. In my case, the iPad mini would trigger a simultaneous ring through my iPad Air and iPod Touch, and I would answer the closest one.

Especially for people who travel frequently or if you're living abroad. This app really works and allows you to call home just like you're local or you can use it to completely replace your local mobile network number. The connection is quite good with few drop calls, the connection is much better than skype or whatsapp calls. A few kinks here and there to be smooth out like picking up calls when you're in other apps can be fussy sometimes. Overall, it's a great app! Keep it free!

I like how it's free almost every where but it's a little buggy even with the new update il give it 5 stars cause I think it's cause of my iPad mini. One of the ways how it's buggy is that when I call someone it's like a very old radio. ;) but thanks for making this app I was about to use magic jack until I saw fongo free calling and texting.

My parents wouldnt let me get a phone, so I decided that I'd have to find a substantial replacement. I looked at about 5 different VoIP apps but they wouldn't work with my iPod 3rd gen, or just weren't fit for me. Until I came across this app. It is absolutely amazing and perfect for anyone that can't get a phone.

Literally because of this app, I was able to switch my phone plan to prepaid and save money. Almost everywhere I go has wifi, so I can use Fongo. Calls are clear on my end, but I am told it is sometimes echoey on the receiving end. Hopefully Fongo can improve on this?

This is my favourite calling app. I always use it to do domestic calling. I was looking for this type of app for a long time.

But can you change it's look it kind of looks like I am using a iPhone 4 only one change then it's perfect

This app has completely replaced my phone and texting plan. I have used it with great success all over Canada, in the US, and in Europe.

Ps. Do not upgrade to the iOS 9 beta if you are using Fongo. It doesn't seem to be supported yet.

I honestly love this app. It had saved me a lot of money over the years, I'm using a basic phone plan and use Fongo for any calling that isn't local or when it's daytime.

I ported my number from Wind and I am using on my ipad 2. Really great app. I have forwarded my personal and work number to fongo number. Works great.
