I really like Offer Up. I have found items in very good used condition. Saves money. The only thing is people do not get back to you. They do not keep communications open. I do realize that people have jobs and busy lives. So do I. But it would be nice to let the buyer know when you can be available, or already sold the item. Also adds that are over 6mo. old should be deleted by the commentator. A lot of these adds are from people that have moved or have sold items and did not bother to take it down. Also buyer beware, I have been asked twice to meet 2 different people after 10:00pm to get a better deal on items I had asked to purchase. 1 person tried to tell me he needed the money to bale a relative out of jail. Not leave me with the item, but all the collateral I needed. NOT! I rate this app. 5 stars.

So far I have used the app to make one purchase and sell two items. It's s great little tool to sell things you have that you don't need. I found two nice rugs
For a good price. For me, during a recent home decluttering, I found a few things I didn't need anymore and thought someone else might like. I priced the items at bargain rates because I figured anything was better than throwing out in the trash. Each item sold within an hour.
I peruse for deals. Yes this sight is for budget conscious people, otherwise we would be purchasing new. Yes, like other programs of this type , you do eventually have to make contact with people you don't know. It's honestly like a "**list" only you don't have to worry about shipping due to the localized area this app employs.
I really enjoy this little app.

I really hope more people start selling with apps like this and more selling apps start popping up just to take away some of the market share from Ebay. eBay is a unfair evil website that is overpriced for sellers by the time you ship and pay the complicated ridiculous fees they have then pay PayPal there 3% and pay income tax if you sell a lot .. You don't end up making much..and selling your stuff for half of what it's worth. I think everyone worldwide should boycott eBay to teach them a lesson . After all they are just a website we the people are the ones listing our products and shipping and sharing our profits with eBay . Offer up is very good , I just signed up and sold my first item in 2 days and everyone I have spoken to so far on offers up seem to be good peeps ..

Been using this app for few years now. Love how you can rate people to see how good they are in selling/buying stuffs. A lot safer than Craiglist (in my own opinion) also, I love how easy to manipulate this app as they added more features (putting more photos etc..,) Highly recommended to everyone especially if you love collecting stuffs, you'll definitely find treasures! PS I think it would be better if aside from sending messages, we can also send pictures like in FB messenger? just in case if the seller has more stuffs to sell. Only reason why I said that because people tend to have more stuffs to offer and not posted on their profile. Just my two cents since I am a collector and I tend to ask the buyer if they have more stuffs to offer. Other than that, great app!!!

Communication 5 stars. It is easy to communicate with individuals - buying or selling.

Items- 5 stars - As with anything it's buyer beware. But I have been please with the items I bought. One item had a bit of a problem but developed later. I don't believe the seller did any thing deceptive. Get a heck of a deal- so it doesn't really matter. A quick fix.

Price- People seem to have a high estimation of their items, but I have found some really good deals.

It's not perfect, but that's not a reflection of offer up, just the people u deal with on this site.

I would give the site 2 thumps up. I once got burned on a washing machine, but again buyer beware!!!!!! They were selling them out of the back of a ware house. No problems with individual sellers!!!!!

I love how easy it is to upload whatever you're trying to sell! My Fiancé and I have already sold a few items, however, I would like an option showing previous inquiries and offers on all of the items to the entire application, not just to me. Of course I know who all offered and what they offered to pay, but to avoid everyone asking the same price and me having to explain the same thing 4 times is just a hassle. Then after all explanations no one is interested anymore. I would just like for the offer-ers/buyers to know how many people have already Offered Up on an item, and it would be nice for there to be a requirement for interested buyers to make an offer before they can send a message. A lot of people are just sending messages rather than offers. Thank You!

Great resell site more reliable than craigslist. I like the fact you can see the sellers history and their ratings and unlike craigslist you don't know who your dealing with.

The surfing for items: The only problem I have is that it crashes 80% of the times I've been looking for items to buy.

The Listing of items: When Listing I like the fact that you can add more than one picture now! **Don't like the fact you can't use stock photos in your listing. Most of my items I Sell are new in box. It take me substantially more time listing items when I cannot use the stock photo.

So I really do like this app. It's easy to search what you're looking for and find great deals. I just have not had any luck with the people who use it. Trying to meet up to either buy or sell something is like pulling teeth.
Oh, I'll be there, I'll be there... Nope. I waited at Starbucks for over an hour the other day and messaged the lady three times she never responded even to tell me she was canceling. I guess it's easy for people to say they want something but then to actually leave the house to go get it is too much. Then they don't have the decency to cancel, or they reschedule half a dozen times and still don't show. I know that's not the app's fault. The app gets five stars. But the people are giving me a reason to want to use something else.

Don't get too influenced by the negative comments, people are just too hard to please sometimes. Come on, it's a free app!!! smh... Anyways, all one needs to do, like most things in life, is learn how the app works and what its idiosyncrasies are. Some people skills would help too, it's not OfferUp's responsibility to babysit unreliable buyers. I have made many sales on here and all have been pleasant. I have tried about a dozen apps that compete with this one, and over several months I have sold almost everything through OfferUp. I gradually have deleted them as they consistently don't perform (all my items listed on all apps, exactly the same), and have ended up only using eBay, Craigslist, and OfferUp. It's a well made app by good people.

I have been using OfferUp for a few years now. I have purchased barstools, candleholders, a four burner gas grill, a stainless steel stove, a stainless steel refrigerator, a stainless steel dishwasher, a beautiful washer and dryer Neptune Maytag set, a complete bedroom set and a flatscreen television. I have also sold a lot of things on OfferUp such as, my daughter's sweet 16 centerpieces. While I was trying to get rid of them to make some space it was very nice to sell them to a young girl preparing for her baby shower. Just like with anything else on line we have to use our common sense about our safety. I usually bring someone with me when I meet people to buy or sell. I am very happy I found this app and see that it's only getting better.

I have been using OfferUp since October 2014. I have made a lot of sales. I'm very appreciative that there is an app that I can use so I don't have to have a garage sale and so that I can clear out my house and have an extra couple dollars. However serious consideration needs to be taken regarding people that no-show. I have had to report over 16 people. Because they will give an offer agreed to pick up an item in absolutely no show. And never contact again. Really really flaky people on this app. It's incredibly inconsiderate. I wish when people did this they were just kicked off of the app entirely. I am giving the app five stars because it has never failed me, easy to use, And convenient. I would give the other customers using OfferUp is zero.

This is great app. There are a few things that I wish I could do thou.. Such as read the reviews given to other buyers and sellers. I would also like to have the option to delete messages and also items I am interested in either watching or buying. There is an archive button and I think that's fine for let's say archiving items you have already bought or sold. Although if I am watching an item and it sells before I make a decision to offer up the asking price or a lesser amount, then really there is no need to archive it, I want to delete it! Especially, if I'm bummed that I missed my opportunity. I want that thing gone! Anyway, I use it everyday and the great things I love about it are way too many to mention. Get it, you'll be glad you did!

I don't remember how I stumbled upon Offer Up but it suffices to say I am very glad I found this app. It's a mix of Craigslist and your favorite social media venue, simplified and sleekly efficient. Take a photo list a description, ask a price and BAM it's up for sale. Buying is simple too. No more waiting for emails as Offer Up has its own messaging system for instant communication between buyers and sellers. That long sought after item can be secured with a quick message to the seller...no lag or waiting! I have found many a good deal with this app and sold things I don't need. I cannot say enough about the awesome nature of this app! I'll be buying stock as soon as this goes public! The future is here! Great job OfferUp developers!!!

OfferUp is a super easy/quick way to sell items locally. It is A LOT more convenient than any other selling forums such as Craigslist. Would recommend to anyone looking to sell items they wish to get rid of.

Suggested Improvements: The only thing I wish they would include in the app is a item 'on hold' status for the time between receiving an offer and when the buyer actually picks up and purchases the item. The app only allows an option to mark your item as sold, but then suggests only marking the item sold once you have been fully compensated. However if you have listed an item with high demand, you continue to receive inquires until you mark the item as sold which is slightly irritating.

Other than that, OfferUp is wonderful!

I've been on offer up since April 2015 I have had the best experience on this app met so many people made many new friends and sold and bought and a bartered in ways that I never thought imaginable. I recommend this site to everyone I talk to and to anyone who doesn't have it you should download it now. Thank you offer up for your wonderful idea for this app my life would not be the same without it and that is coming from the heart. My father has breast cancer and I cannot work due to his illness offer up is one of the reasons that I've been able to stay afloat and help my father so In a way offer up is helping me to help my father fight this cancer thank you for this wonderful app please keep what you're doing. A+

No long loading times, rare crashes, no problems with messaging, instantaneous ad updates.
My only complaint,- which is not necessarily a deal breaker- is that some things takes monotonous steps in order to do things. For example, you can't just simply click on your own ad, you need to click "view information". It would also be cool if there was a "last seen at" or "most recent log in" display for users, because sometimes it seems as if people never check their OfferUp account, and their items stay up, perpetually for sale with no offers being taken. Kind of disenchanting when someone has something really good, but it was posted 3 months ago with no response.

Anyways, I'll continue to use this app for quite awhile. Great app.

I love this app! I just wish more people were on it. It's super easy to post things for sale, super easy to communicate with potential buyers and even allows you to follow sellers that typically post things that you like. Some previous reviewer only gave the app 2 stars because people tried to low-ball his items for sale. You can't knock the app for people trying to low-ball you. Low-ballers and hagglers are everywhere. This app is called offer up for a reason. You are asking people to make you an offer and it's up to you to negotiate with them if you want. For that, it's a great app and easy to sell things. Even better, it has a Facebook share feature so you can spread the word in your social network. I highly recommend it!

I have not been using this app for very long but from my limited exposure I think I will be using it just as much as some of the other larger venues.
I have not sold anything yet but I have gotten a lot of hits as items were listed. The correspondence with others seems easy enough.
I like the fact that a listing will show what people have offered that were not accepted so you don't have a lot of people low balling your price.
I saw a rating by someone, and agree that it would be nice to be able to include more than 1 picture for an item (for instance I had a bedroom set that I had to post as 5 items instead of just 1).
The last thing is that I wish people would be more considerate in listing items in the appropriate group.

Placed items for sale using suggested process of ensuring accurate and clear identification of the articles, besides the nice welcome from the facilitators, I had received four other request within an hour of posting. One of the request actually up the offer by 20%! I stated this to the other requesters one responded they would also make the higher offer, I could only say first come, first served! For the process to work you need to stay in touch, everything happens fast, if ignored buyers will find someone else that wants their cash! The very next morning before noon, the items were picked up with no questions asked! Great process, great way of utilizing resources, I am already lining up many more offerings

I have just started on this app. I do really like the identity protection/ location protection. This app gives you a location but not the exact address which is a bit more safer. Also like that you can message the buyer/ seller with in the app.
I will have to agree though with some others that courtesy of others is a slight problem, but you have that no matter what or where you sell. It would be nice if people would just ask questions an if truly interested actually set up a meeting place, but that is based on buyer not this app.
I do also like the true you feature which I am trying to get now. That will authenticate me on this app so people know it is me.
