FINAL FANTASY TACTICS :WotLの評価・口コミ・レビュー [iPhone]

I've played the FF tactics advance and FFTA2, so, I was interested in playing this one, the very first of the tactics series, as I discovered, it's a lot more complicated, I was pleased to find this to be a rich, even a bit mature game.

First off, for the negatives, moving the view around can be annoying at first, but it's something to adjust to, sometimes, after a motion cutscene, the dialogue will annoyingly replay, and lastly, though it happened once, this game can crash after cutscene when you have the option to recruit new people. This is rare, though, as it only happened once. Lastly, this game has a habit of crashing if there is a thunderstorm in a map, extremely annoying, however, hitting resume when starting the game up will at least let you continue where you left off in the battle.

Now, for the positives, there is lots to do, recruiting monsters via the Orator's Entice skill, or his Tame ability is fun, more so when your new monsters start giving you eggs, which can lead to more playable monsters, the music is very good, the story is also strong IMO, the difficultly of this game is also pleasant, as it can be very hard.

All in all, this game is still amazing, despite the fact that my iPod 4g can barely handle this game sometimes. It's a solid game for those that enjoy learning a somewhat complex game, complete with a good variety of jobs, get it if you like, just be aware of the setbacks I mentioned.

Yes. I'm fully aware of the switched lag from the psp version. No attack lag, but mild menu lag is much better than vice versa in the psp version. Personal preference, I suppose. After testing the beginning up through the second AMV on both my iPhone 4 & PSP 1000 simultaneously, the iPhone actually completed the task before the PSP version.

Coming from someone who one-stars and two-stars apps frequently, my five-star rating here is more than warranted. Why, the story alone is worth at least three stars. I totally dare you to find a better story than this one--you will be sorely hard-pressed to find better. The game mechanics are also top notch: the level of complexity and customization, yet also efficiency involved in character and party building has yet to be duplicated, let alone surpassed, and it has 14 years going on that already. As mentioned by many others before me here, it's replayability and length will keep you occupied and engrossed to it's bittersweet story for at least 40+ hours. Graphics? Beautiful. Audio? Thematic. I have easily played hundreds of games and I can comfortably say without hyperbole that this is one of the BEST games ever.

Core game worship aside, the port manages to prove itself worthy. Touch oriented menus and full 360 degree with zoom make for a fun user interface. There is a bit of lag as mentioned before, but far from keeping me from enjoying the heat of battle.

Still a great game. I love it, was always one of my favorites.

Still waiting for the updated sprite resolutions. Thanks for the hard work and bringing this to the iPhone!

I do say i have to be disappointed in the lack of support all this time. This has always been one of my favorite games and i don't think its had the attention it deserves from the developers. Please update! You'll get better ratings and more recommendations if you do. Instead of riding out on nostalgia alone.

Decided to make another review and change my score. It still seems to have a bit of a frame rate issue. But still very playable. I loved the iCloud support as now I can play between my iPad and iPhone without missing a beat. I wanted to thank SE for finally improving the sprites as well last year. I highly recommend this game for anyone who is a fan or looking for a turn based tactics game (sorta like chess but with magic and swords and one of the best story lines of any game that's been out in the last 20 years.) fun and engaging. Keep in mind this was made for a console once upon a time so it isn't one of those games you can finish in a couple hours of sitting. I hope to see more classic titles (though would be nice if they were a bit more Affordable price but do understand it isn't always a simple job just to make a port for a game.....

The original FFT was my favorite game which I played on PS1 and PS3. I don't have a PSP so I am very excited to play the War of the Lions version.
Crashes: Game has never froze. However, it does crash once in a while. The auto save lets you pick up where you left off before the crash.
Lag: Minor instant of lag during some graphics heavy spells and abilities just like in the PSP version, but still playable.
Graphics: They added new HD graphics. Retnia display looks great! Still doesn't fill up entire iPhone 5 screen but hopefully it will in a future update.
Controls: Smooth camera control and accurate touch controls. You can use the two buttons to either slide the entire map around or rotate the map around a single point.
Verdict: A must have for FFT fans. Anyone who likes games and RPGS will love this game. For a full videogame that you can easily play over 100 + hours, it is worth your $16.
Will keep you updated, but so far so good. If you've been waiting for Square to fix this game, now is the time.

I decided to submit another review. This game is still awesome! As I stated before, IPad users need to hold off as there are problems. Of course you'd know that if you read the description........... Anyway, I think people are being far to particular with this game. It runs, it's playable, and I've killed my phone many times playing it. This game is a 1995 title, and it was great for it's time. I think people need to take a step back and consider this. There was no retina screens back then, and portable gaming was just being introduced. As far as ports are considered, this is as good as it gets. The iPhone is not a psp or a dsd........ Let me repeat that, the iPhone is not a psp or dsd, so don't compare it! This game will most likely not get "fixed" like everyone wants it be. It will remain in it's original form as it was always intended to be. Want better????? Play something else or try using a true game device. Oh.... and by the way, $16 is a steal for this game as the original price was over three times the cost in 1995. Enough said....

I've been patiently waiting for them to put this on the iPod I've beaten this game b4 there are many secrets and classes and this game is just incredible I don't even have it loaded yet and I'm already giving it five stars further in the game if u collect a certain holy stone u can unlock cloud strife FFVII he's hard to keep alive bcuz he starts at a very low level and ur so far in the game every battle u have is filled with high level monsters but if u keep him out of the mix he can level up fast or have him attack ur own characters when there going to die and he can level up quickly he has all his limit break moves but u have to find his materia blade which is in a volcano level and u need to equip the item find ability once u have all of this he's the unstoppable ex-soldier but even without that the storyline the characters in play the classes the monsters and all abilities make this a must have game great job square Enix I've been waiting on this one I still have the playstation disc at my house

I was really reluctant to buy this. FFT for the PSX is my favorite game ever, but most of the reviews sounded like nothing got fixed and it was awful and not worth the cost because of all the bugs. I downloaded it anyway. Since downloading, I only lag when someone calls me. It's the game I fell in love with long ago and more. My only problems are when cutscenes finish, my music starts playing at max volume and multiplayer is unavailable, and that is how I hear you get the best equipment now. Hurry up and make it available, Square! (Updating my review, because I have since finished my game:) Nevermind, iOS gets the best equipment with completion of 1st game. And I love that every game after gets those equips in Poachers' Den. It makes it kind of like New Game+ Lite (since you have to complete Ch1&2 before you get all the amazing stuff). Being able to play with people would still be nice, but I don't want it as much anymore. Square, you've won my business yet again. Pretty cheap for the quality, too!

This game is a true masterpiece. From its baby steps from the ps1 to a full transition to psp and now iOS. The story line is amazing, one if the best I've ever seen. The lving/job advancing system is quite a feat as well. The only real problems I see in this version (iOS) is the moderate crashing. Don't get me wrong, the game auto saves every turn so if it does in fact crash no data will be lost even mid battle. It's not that big of a deal but may annoy you from time to time, it doesn't happen a lot though.

The only suggestion I have for square is to add the multiplayer they have on the psp version. Although they give you all the multiplayer items when you beat the game it's not as fun as collecting them.

This port took an already awesome game and made it better. The auto save feature makes picking this up and putting it down a snap. Also, you get a one chance "do over" if a turn in battle doesn't go your way (say a thief misses their mark). You can close the app and reload to get one more shot from the start of that character's turn. Do it anymore than once, however, and you have to reload your last manual save. I like to think of it more as a loophole than an actual cheat, but hey, it's there. The game is already challenging enough and there's no guarantee you'll succeed the second time around.

I purchased this game already knowing what to expect. 5 stars, no lag, no crash, no problems what so ever. Only thing I request is to make it compatible with gaming extensions like the logitech poweshell. It would make the game that much better using and actual controller. Other than that, 5 stars!!!!

I used to play this all the time on the play station 1. Totally worth it! It's the same wonderful game I remember! For those new to final fantasy tactics, it's awesome! Those old to it, it's still awesome!!!
