BestBikingRoads Motorcycl Roads and Rides Worldwide Knowledge Base

Hi everyone, my name is William and I am big timer traveller and what I like to do sometimes on the weekend is head out for a motorcycling trip, with my good friend David, the creator of Best Biking Roads.

Best Biking Roads is an app that you can find on any android or iOS device, and that basically gives you access to thousands of great motorcycling rides, all over the world. You can use it as an aid to plan your trip, or simply a way to discover new and cool places to ride your bike in unfamiliar areas or just near your home. Now, what I really like about the app is that it is community fuelled content, a knowledge base that allows its users to comment and rate existing routes, as well as add their own favorite rides. And as I am making this video, the app already offers over 10,000 great motorcycling rides in 86 different countries.

So what I want to do right now is quickly explain to you it works, its very simple and easy to use, and I'm sure that as soon as you download it, it will become your best friend for all your upcoming adventures.

So, the first thing you've got to do obviously is open the app, and on the homepage, you can find the login button, on the top left. It's basically for you to create an account if you want to be part of the community, in order to be able to comment, rate and add new routes. This is not mandatory.

Now next button is the browse routes button, probably the most important. When you click there, you access the browse routes functions that allows you to find places to ride by using different filters. You can either: Found routes that are near your location, find routes near to any selected location on a map. So if you're planning to go abroad , you can organise your trip beforehand and maybe even find some routes that you couldn't find anywhere else on the internet. You can find routes by searching on a text string, for example, a famous route such as 'Tail Of The Dragon' or 'Passo Stelvio', or any other route searchable by name. You can also browse routes by area, and choose from a list of areas per country. Or finally, you can use the shortcuts to 'Newest Routes','Most Popular Routes' or the 'Highest Rated Routes'. Let's see how this works using an example, using the 'Near Location Function'. Obviously, as this app has a lot of content, we can choose many different locations. But for the sake of this example, let's choose, let's say the Pacific Northwest area of the United States, somewhere near to Seattle, a beautiful area to enjoy motorcycling. Here we can see a list of all the great motorcycle routes in the nearby area, including their rating, their length and their distance from the current location. It is also possible to navigate to the start of the route using the built in device navigation. If you wanted to navigate the route itself, you can download the GPX file onto your device, and use any great GPX viewer app out there. It is also possible to access all the routes, including comments and ratings, on the BestBikingRoads.com website.

Now quickly going back to the home screen, I mentioned that you can also add your own routes to the app, and you do it simply by clicking the create route button and using a simple dropping pin system, and then you add your review and you send it out.
