Now anyone can make tunes for their own builds in Forza. The trick is matching the tune settings to your upgrades, and knowing when to make a few adjustments. ForzaTune Pro makes the entire process easy.

Tell ForzaTune you're driving a Mustang on a specific track, and it creates a tune to match. Or maybe you're building a Supra to cruise the streets of Mexico. This app has you covered with detailed base tunes.

Then use the tune customizer if you want more aggressive or more stable handling. You can set oversteer or understeer in each part of a turn, and ForzaTune works out the new values for you automatically.

Q: Is this for beginners or experienced tuners?
A: Both. Experienced tuners use it to save time. Newer tuners use it to learn how to tune.

Q: How do I use the app?
A: Copy several car details from the game into ForzaTune, hit "Calculate" and copy the results into the tuning menu in Forza Motorsport or Forza Horizon. There is also a series of video tutorials on YouTube to get you started.

Q: What settings and upgrades do I need?
A: You will need racing upgrades like suspension, braking, anti-roll bars, and differential to change the values in the tuning menu. You can also use drift, rally and adjustable stock suspensions when available (like off-road buggies and some trucks in Horizon). You will also have the best results if you disable stability management (STM) and traction control (TCS) for lower class cars. Normal or simulation steering is fine, but simulation steering is recommended in FH5 especially when fine-tuning.

Q: Why is tuning your cars important?
A: When doing upgrades many of the default tune settings will not match the new build. ForzaTune brings it back to a balanced setup. Also, tuning doesn't affect your PI or race restrictions—so this is how you can gain an advantage over other racers.

Let's imagine someone that wants to learn how to tune in Forza Horizon 5. We’ll call him James.

James is not sure where to start.

He reads every tuning guide, watches a bunch of videos and is ready to dive in.

James spends hours perfecting his tune on his favorite, fastest car. And it’s going pretty well.

Then a friend messages him, “hey, you have to try this tuning calculator.”

James has his doubts. But he takes a chance.

After a few minutes of using this tuning calculator app, he makes a new tune that is 3 seconds faster than the one he worked on for weeks.

He does the same thing for 5 more of his favorite cars and they are all much faster now.

I hear stories like this almost every day.

My name is Anthony and since 2009 I have been helping Forza players make better tunes faster.

What’s the secret?

The ForzaTune Pro tuning calculator app.

In this video you’ll learn how to quickly use it to make street, rally and many other types of tunes. We’ll also cover how to customize your tunes, and why this tuning calculator works well even when tuning in Forza Horizon 5.

First, install the upgrades you want. Anyone who has downloaded a storefront tune knows how annoying it is that they are all locked.

So you build the car the way you want with your choice of power and appearance upgrades.

Just a quick heads up!

To use this tuning calculator you’ll need at least an adjustable suspension, anti-roll bars, differential and brakes.

Now for the fun part.

Open up the ForzaTune Pro app and hit New Tune. Select your vehicle and enter these details…which you can get when upgrading or when viewing your cars.

Choose the game you want, the driving surface, and the tune type. Tap next and your results are ready.

Copy your results into the game’s tuning menu and you already have a tune that’s better than 99% of what you’ll find online. And that’s all done in about 3 minutes or less.

If this is a one-off race or event you can use the car as is. If this is a car you plan to drive a lot you’ll want to take it out for a test drive and maybe do some further customizing.

Let’s say you want to make the ride stiffer, or change the balance. It's all right here under that red button. There are also notes if you have a question on what each adjustment does.

After you make a few small changes to suit your driving style, hit "Done" and you’ll see a wrench icon next to any values that need to be updated. Make those changes, and take it for a final test drive to make sure everything is good.

How about other types of tunes?

Same process. When tuning for something like dirt or sand trails, make sure you have a rally suspension installed or a stock adjustable suspension common on rally vehicles.

Enter the name and details.

Select the “dirt or sand trail” driving surface and you have a new tune that quickly.

Besides street and rally tunes…

You also can tune for cross-country events.

This includes trucks and buggies, which have their own type of suspension automatically selected in ForzaTune Pro.

You can also make tunes for drifting and drag racing…

And if you swap an engine or add boost you can retune your gears. For those you’ll need some information in the upgrade section including tire size, which is this hard-to-read number here and a graph of the power curve.
