I am so shocked by negative reviews on this site!! Maybe it's just reading the app and not acorn the site. Because I absolutely love the shows on acorn you can't find them anywhere else that I found so far. Great mysteries, dramas, comedies and period pieces!!
This is a fantastic app I love it I love it I love it!! I use my Apple TV from my iPhone and have a go straight to my television so the whole family can enjoy it!!! At first for my husband it was what I call "casual watching".... I happened to be watching it while he walks to the room gets distracted by it and actually sits down after a couple different shows became hooked just like I did :-) so give it a try and it has a 30 day free trial period. It doesn't have 100,000 things to watch but I love everything I've watched!!!

Seems like a lot of people with issues, but pretty good. I too, can't get rid of captions, but sometimes the accent is so thick I read some of the words.... And it's free folks! And what. If that's the way you hade to watch TV!
Any way, good selection of shows,easy to use, so me one said if they stopped show and came back show wouldn't resume? But it may not open up to last show ( boy how spoiled we are!) But when you tap on the show and see the various episodes it does show the progress bar and said you know which one you were watching and tap on it and it does open right where you left off. And not many apps resume episodes anyway some you can't even tell which episode you're watching little and where you were

I am so happy. Acorn totally listened to user complaints and fixed the app. My complaint about recently viewed not helping you find the next in a series is no longer a problem. It's not only fixed but beautifully fixed. Very easy now.

Finally I can easily watch my Acorn TV on my iPhone commuting to work on the train. Great app. It's easy to use and similar to most other popular streaming apps.

This new version is great. I’ve always loved the content and now the app is great, too! Thanks, Acorn TV!

AirPlay is now working perfectly and the navigation is improved. That was one fast update.
