I love the olympics and was hoping for something exactly like this..and here it is! So so sweet. Many of the negative reviews are based on the need to have a cable subscription, so it's not rating the app function, which rocks. I have cable, so i love this app. Not surprised you need cable, you think anything is really free nowadays?? Ha! With this app I get raw, lightly produced, high definition content, without commentators, YES...what more do I need. I'll watch a long basketball game on my big tv while I flip through the less popular sports like archery, table tennis, and volleyball, at the same time on the app. Its quick, stable, beautiful picture quality...dang, it's freakin awesome! Thank you NBC! Suggestions for next year... let me choose the camera angle. That would be amazing! Let me rewind in case I missed something. Don't make me watch a commercial every time i change to a different event. Sometimes i flip around to find something i like and the commercials make that a chore. Detect that i'm surfing, so to speak, and limit the ads please. I'd also like to watch two sports at once on the same screen. I have the bandwidth for it, give it to me! And for those that don't have cable, NBC should offer a full access pass for a one-time fee. Like a pay per view that covers the entire two weeks of the games. It would be better than nothing. :)

Much easier to find content! Didn’t have to hunt for NHL - found the game right away. Nice job NBC! Also, I see a lot of reviews on crashing - not sure why, this app will stream fine for me. It occassionally goes down when my wifi craps out. I use it with my apple TV too and it works fine. And yeah, you have to pay for cable to use it and you watch ads. It's like TV. DUH! No free lunch people. Way cheaper than trying to get tickets to a game, where oh, by the way...you can't even SEE the puck. I'm surprised I don't pay more for cable with this as a bundled service, instead of my home phone (which I never use anyway). This app is great for me so I'm a happy sports fan!

I normally don't write app reviews but I had to for this app because the score does not do it justice—this is a five star app, period! I'm sorry for the people having technical issues but I have used this app successfully on an iPhone 4, 5, and 6, as well as an iPad Air. The app used to have issues early on but NBC has apparently worked hard to iron them all out. I've watched every major Premier League match off my iPad this season, as well as last season, and the streaming has been perfect 90% of the time despite my crap Comcast internet! Seriously though, there isn't a better app for streaming sports, hence the five stars.

The hardest trophy to win in sports is the Stanley Cup. That's a fact. Look it up. I defy you to find even one galoot deluded enough to attempt dissenting to this universally accepted and self-evident morsel of reality. The NBC Sports app allows me to witness the high drama that unfolds in the crusade for sport's acme. And I need only suffer through a few commercials promoting lesser events like the olympics or international Formula 1 racing. This app gets five stars, because it is my unfailing window into the pinnacle of mankind's sporting achievement. Keep it up NBC!

I was able to view a list of events live or replay videos on my iPhone. The video is only in the upper 1/4 of the screen so it is really small hard to see anything in detail or read scores or status, but it really works great with connecting my iPhone to Apple TV. I can filter groups of event I am interested in like basketball, swimming road race, switch to any event that is live watch a short commercial then watch the event uninterrupted. Also get notifications for event I am interested in or see when they will be live. This app works great for me.

The can help me catch F1, NASCAR, and indycar coverage! Plus in case I missed, they have replays!

Ignore all of those jerks that believe it doesn't let you see other sports besides auto racing. They don't know what there talking about. It's just issues with the app running that's all.

It says below it needs a 7.0 so its incompatible. You know it's obvious.

This is one of my best apps. It allows me to watch my NHL games EITHER on my iPad OR TV. Comcast can not or will not do this but wants to force me to buy services I neither need nor want in order to watch all my channels on TV or iPad. Only a few channels can I watch on ipad and usually I am forced to watch on TV like Comcast Sports Network. If NBC can do it then Comcast must be able. Hate Comcast. NBC does BEST job covering sports. I have had no problems with this app.

I was highly critical of the initial release and vented my frustration in my first review of this app. To their credit NBC Sports has worked through the issues and now have a solid performing app. BPL, F1, Dan Patrick, NHL - this is my go-to sports app and because it performs so well I've taken down my negative review.

I'm not sure what the other viewers are having issues with. I opened my app, because I wanted to watch the women's final of the French Open. Started streaming in about ten seconds, without me even having to sign in. I was using my iPad. Maybe they're using different decides or are on slower connections, but I can only speak of my experience. Thanks NBC for a great app, and allowing me to not miss out on Sharapova's awesome match!!

Wish NBC would get even more content to broadcast, they are the only folks doing it the right way. Content that everyone else (Fox, CBS, ESPN, etc.) seem to struggle with...MotoGP, MotoAmerica, etc. Great app, never miss BPL match, awesome. Tried BeIN Sports app, thought it would be like this app, but it seemed to be more sports news related, text-based content, did not see a way to play live content like this one. Love this app.

This app works great, and it's content is well organized. I use it every weekend to watch the Barclays Premiere League matches of my choice. I have not found the need to sign in every time I use it, as some others report. There is a significant lag time -- nearly a minute at our location -- between the television feed and the stream through this app, but this is typical of video streaming. Thanks, NBC Sports.

I was looking for an app to send me notifications for pro motocross, and this is the perfect app! You can always count on it to keep you updated on your favorite sports. Their are so many sports you can choose from, and the app is easy to figure out even if your not a "techy" person. I recommend this app for anyone who wants to keep in touch with their favorite sports and watch them live.

Hadn't used for awhile but noticed a new version. Seemed like a lot of annoying bugs were fixed.

Video quality is very good and worked well as I watched some Golf Channel last night. No crashes. Very snappy.

Now I'm all set for the Super Bowl on 2/1. Granted, I already had my Xfinity credentials handy, but according to the press, you don't need them for the Superbowl which is awesome.

I had written an unnice review for the Olympics but have used the app for the past number of months and have found the new version to be stable on both my Ipad Air and Iphone 5s and 6s Plus. I have liked both the app and the channel on TV and watch them interchangably depending upon where I am.. This version is much better than previous and works very well in IOS 9.

NBC has done a tremendous job with this app in regards to their coverage to the Barclays Premier League. I have an IPAD Air 2, and the clarity of every match I have watched has been simply amazing. I never had an issue. You can watch any Premier League match you like, live, and in HD. NBC has the best coverage of football (soccer), and this app has been amazing.

As is there coverage of the PL didn't already blow fix sports previous attempt out of the water. They have made it so you can see all the see all matches up in at least worst case reliable HD streams unlike fox which only played games featuring a big name even if the other team was trash. This app just is the cherry on the top I hope they get UCL next.

This app is a must for all NHL fans. Playoff game going to OT & you should really go to bed? Pop open the app while brushing your teeth. Then, fall asleep as Mike Emrick describes waffle-boarding pucks to the corner. I've only used this for hockey so I can't truthfully speak to its overall usefulness. It works great for what I need it for.

This is hands down he beat app to have if you have a love for the game of soccer. I can watch Manchester United play live or wait until it becomes available later in the day for the full replay. It truly is on demand. There are some struggles here and there but what it offers outweighs that a million fold. Best app on the App Store

Wonderful App but needs a little thought of filling the station breaks with some kind of content. The Programming static display needs some sort to visual and audio content. If nothing else a progress indicator if no other reason but to let the viewer know it's progressing. Maybe promoting your own upcoming programs/video replays.

Seriously, what else can you say about the amazing job NBCSN has done with the EPL? This app is flawless giving crystal clear coverage of the best football league on earth. Being able to see highlights and full replays is amazing as well. Well done nbc. You set the bar high for every other sports provider for mobile viewing
