Perfect way to clean out your closet!! I'm enjoying the space I'm creating & then what they don't use it goes to charity which is just another positive! I've sent in 9 bags & going by the reviews I'm a little nervous about the amount I'll be paid for my designer items! We will see! I guess something is better than nothing but these designer items wasn't cheap when I bought them & they are in excellent condition & not old! Some still have the tags on them! So I hope to get a decent return! A positive is you can try some very expensive items at a decent price! Their pricing is very good! I'm having lots of fun cleaning out my closets & wardrobes & all.... I can say customer service is excellent! They get back to you very fast & ive talked to the same girl 90% of the time! Since I haven't got a payout for any of the items I've sent in or I haven't purchased anything I can't comment on those! I've sent in 9 bags & waiting for more bags to come so I can ship more to them! I think it's a fun way to recycle clothing,try new brands at a decent price & get paid for your items all & all I'm enjoying it!! I'll update this review after I get some info Another thing is shipping to & from is free & those bags are huge & heavy w/tracking #z they use fedex!! I have a rule if I haven't wore anything in 6 months to a year I get rid of it!! ThredUP is an online consignment shop & personally I'm enjoying making space that's badly needed!!

I've bought and sold items through ThredUp and it's the only shopping I ever do anymore. The buying experience is wonderful and the packaging makes you feel like you're getting a real gift in the mail. I've purchased sweaters, dresses, tops, jeans, and shoes on this site and have loved every item. Each item really was in excellent condition and the only reason I returned anything was if the fit was too small.

I've also sold items on this site and had great success. It takes a while to process a clean out bag but they update you as to when they receive it and when you can expect it to be processed. While every item I've sent hasn't always been excepted, most of them were and the ones that weren't I felt good knowing that the materials were being reused to promote sustainability. I always use store credit for the items I send and I'm pleased with the payout on each item. In my experience, it's much better than selling at a traditional consignment or a home tag sale or garage sale. I'll add the caveat that if you sent a never worn item don't expect to get what you paid for the item in the store. Resale just doesn't work like that. It can be disappointing but if you compare the payout to what you would get through another consignment option or a garage sale you will probably come out on top.

I love this website!! I have bought numerous items from here. The clothes are in perfect condition. You can get name brands at a great price. And you can sell your clothes here! I can dress my little one in style at a good price. The new update on saving filters caused a problem with my app. All of my things kept erasing out of my cart. But, I give it a five because I know this will be fixed!! One more thing we need a wish list to put things, even if they get bought before we can buy, so we can find them easily when we come back. Instead of putting them into cart and holding them. Please do this. Recently, purses have been added. And I love them! We need to have more detail since there is NO RETURN on purses. So we can make a better decision if we think it's authentic. That would be more fair to us. We need the numbers off of the Coach line. You sell more this way. Thanks for adding this category. Need some discounts during the week for an infinitive to make us shop more. Lol. I spend so much and love my items. Love this app!

I love getting my ThredUp box and unwrapping my selected goodies! I've ordered three times so far and no disappointments! I've purchased items for myself and my 2 children, my five year old daughter likes picking stuff out too. :-) I really like the concept of up-cycling clothing with the excess of everything in the world. It is great to be conscious about my purchases and for this to be convenient. I love the details they include too. For each item - measurements, fading not, etc

I haven't returned or sold anything yet, but have a clean out bag that I am working to fill!

The only cons would be - 1) the lowest price for items is $4.99. Some of the items (target/Walmart) brand could be purchased new at that price. Maybe limit these brands on this if possible or lower the minimum. 2) it would be helpful if the items were ironed and on mannequins in the pictures to see them better 3) wish that items that were sets were sold together or someway linked in the posts so I know if there is matching top/bottoms

I came across this site and have fallen in love. The prices are reasonable considering the brands they offer and the great condition their in. They are comparable to upscale consignment shops that have become popular. I have ordered two boxes so far and I have been pleased! They come within a week of ordering, clothes wrapped in tissue paper, and clothes nicely tagged with a thredup logo. The return process is very easy; anything you don't like can be returned by itemizing things you want to return, print label, and ship in the box it came in. It DOES take about a week and a half for it to arrive and process. They will award you free site credit for a refund (with a fee). I would eventually like to see the site have options to break down clothing further and tip top pictures of the items. One recommendation - it does help if you know the brand that fits you best, the type of clothing material, or length of items. Last, they often give extra percentages off if you order through the app!

I can't remember how I heard about thread up, but being that I pretty much hate clothes shopping in over priced stores, or worse shopping at discount stores and finding that what I like is not in my size, I thought I would give ThredUp a try. I placed my first order a little worried about what would arrive- expecting I would need to return at least one piece. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the polka dotted box in my mailbox and saw that my clothes were folded nicely and wrapped in tissue, and each piece was like new and exactly as described!! I ordered brands I knew would fit, so was not disappointed and decided to keep everything! I love the company's philosophy of helping the world in some small way by shopping second hand. With clothes that seem like new - I'm all in!
I ordered from the website the first time, so decided to download the app and just finished placing my second order. Using the app was just as easy as using the full website! Thank you ThredUp!!

I cannot say how much I LOVE ThredUp! I have completely transformed my wardrobe (and my daughters) for a fraction of what it would cost in a store. And I've been able to find some gorgeous high end items that I would not be able to afford otherwise. I've sent in several bags of clothes and I've always been pleased with the amount of credit I receive (some items yes, I think they could do a bit better on since they sell them for at least $15, but there is no store around here that I could take my clothes to and get store credit). They also send some nice coupons out (especially around the holidays) which makes shopping with them even better! Their return policy is excellent, I've never had any issues with returns or refunds. With two children under two, it is so nice to be able to shop for clothes on a very nice and easy to use app and then try the clothes on in the comfort of my own home. I will always buy my and my children's clothes from ThredUp.

I annually go through my closet to get rid of things I haven't worn in a year or so. When my mom told me about ThredUp I was excited at the thought of getting a return for my closet clean out. I read some reviews from people that were disappointed with the payout and I think those people were trying to make money off of their clothes. I can't blame them, but I started to think that without ThredUp I'm just donating and getting nothing back. With each item I put in my clean out bag I asked the question, "If I they don't accept this, would I be mad?" And if the answer was "yes" then I knew I really didn't want to get rid of it. I sent in 2 bags my first time and received more than $50 back! Furthermore, I have bought several things from ThredUp that I truly love. They fit well and came professionally (and cutely) wrapped. This is not your average consignment experience. Overall, I am very excited about ThredUp and their concept of recycling clothes.

Receiving a postcard from Thred-up last fall changed how I shop for 2nd hand clothing. I hate sifting through racks of often mixed-size clothes to find a good selection for my growing children. We've placed a couple of orders & received clothes in excellent condition. We've recently sent our first bag in, so I can't comment on that yet.

As for the app itself, it's easy to use but only works in portrait on my iPad--I'd like it to rotate as I typically use mine in landscape mode. I love that you can sort by size, color, price, and category. Looking for a green button-down shirt for less than $20? All parameters by which you can sort.

Sometimes there are clearly mistakes in description--baby gap doesn't go to size 12 in girls, so if you pay attention you can save some grief. We have received girls items, that due to mid-labeling in the description were not the size we anticipated, so we kept them for future wearing.

I have sent in a few bags to thredup. In my last bag I threw in a gift my sister never even used (a Dooney and Bourke leather bag). The bag sold in 3 days. I was super excited that it sold because you get 60% of the selling price and I didn't have to do any work. My only problem with selling on consignment is that buyers can place your item in their shopping cart and it will remain there for 24 hours. Everytime my bag was released it was "reserved" within minutes. I knew it was going to eventually sell but it was annoying seeing it reserved like that. I emailed thredup and unfortunately they can't do anything about the 24 hour hold. If I had another item to sell on consignment I would do it again! In the past I have used my credit to buy stuff and was happy with my purchases. This time I am going to cash out and put the money into my savings!

I couldn't wait to open it when it arrived! I was very impressed with the care that was taken to fold all the clothing and wrap in tissue paper, made me feel like it was from an expensive boutique! And the best part of all? Everything fit and was even better than I imagined. Quality used clothing at a very affordable price. Love it! I am doing it again!!! And again! My only suggestion for the app is sometimes it takes me a while to decide and when I add to my cart, it does wipe clear after a period of time. I get why, but I would like to "watch" things I am considering. I would think a great enhancement would be to "like" items as you browse and then at the end view those items you have liked to make your final decisions. Other than that, the pics are great and the clothing was very accurately represented. Highly recommend!

Great item collection! I religiously check my app everyday for new or gently used clothes to buy! I get most of my kids and my clothes such as vests, jackets, shorts, jeans, skirts, dresses and even hats from here. I wished there was a way get collection for men too! My husband is so jealous of all the great deals I've been purchasing.
It's been a positive shopping experience and of great quality control! It's affordable and it range of designers have been awesome!
The only negative is that I wished the special discount offer that appears from the app (when the phone is on sleep mode) can be found again in an email. It just disappear as soon as I swipe the phone to read emails.
But overall an easy to navigate app for iPhones.

Once I started using Thredup, I knew I'd be hooked! This app(and site) allowed me to be fashionable, without having to worry about breaking the bank and going broke! For the prices that items are listed, the quality it exceptional, especially due to the fact that they list even the most minor flaw on their items to make customers be aware. I have purchased several times from Thredup and each time my items came in perfect condition, even those said to have a minor flaw! Another great aspect of this app(and site) is the ability to show others and promote Thredup, by means of sharing in order to get a $10 store credit for everyone who buys through your individual link. Definitely an amazing app(and site) for those on a budget and still want to look put together! I would definitely would recommend to everyone.

I have really enjoyed the looking through the website. I think it is very easy to find what I'm looking for. I have had no issues with buying things or receiving my clean out bag. If I got some money out of my items that would be great, otherwise I feel good knowing my items will either go to a good cause or be recycled to make other clothing. In my opinion, any money I get will be nice, and more than I would get at a yard sale or giving to Goodwill. In order for them to sell items at a huge discount, they have to save money where they can (i.e. Shipping and receiving). So I have no qualms about their process. Lastly, I have been very satisfied with the items I have bought as well as the ease of shipping items back. So far, I have zero complaints and am happy to have a great service such as ThredUp.

What a fabulous way to recycle clothing. Especially for kids! They grow so fast and it seems ridiculous to spend $30+ on anything when they only wear it once or twice. I love their stuff. And granted sometimes it's hit or miss. I feel like you just have to keep an eye on it and then one day you'll hit the jackpot! I even bought my maternity clothes with my second pregnancy with thredUp. I knew what brands I loved and the sizes I needed. It felt great to pay a fraction of the price for things that were practically new. The customer service is amazing and I love their clean out bag option. I've sent in over 4 bags worth of things and with the credit I am able to turn around and buy my kids next size clothes! Plus they have a share $10 earn $10 program to help spread the word!

This is a great place to find great gently used clothing!

So far I've shopped, returned, and even turned in items to sell. ThredUp makes it easy to find exactly what you're looking for. You can be as broad or as specific in your search. If you don't like your purchase you can return it via your local post office. They'll even provide a stamp for you. As for selling items, don't expect an instant turnaround. Give them plenty of time to receive your bag (which they will provide). I have not heard from them about my items since I sent them out, so I can only assume that means that they could not take my items. This is understandable, but it would be nice to receive some follow-up for verification.

All in all, I would recommend ThredUp to any shopper.

I have had really great success with this app. The pieces I receive are always in really good shape which makes me happy that they don't accept just anything--it's nice that they are picky because you get really great quality stuff. I do think there are a lot of outdated items so it does take some time scrolling through to find the gems. One thing I wish for is a 'strike-through' option to eliminate brands that I don't want to see instead of only an option to list brands I do want. I'm a fan of trying and being exposed to new brands, so I want to see those without seeing a lot of cheaper made clothing lines. Overall this is such a great app. I've used it several times both to sell and buy clothes. I've recommended it to many friends too!

I am very satisfied with Thredup , when I first tried it I was just trying it out. Well I am a believer now. I have even got my 2 daughters and a sister-in-law hooked. I have bought from them and sent items in, sure it takes a while to have items processed, but I know they are working as fast as they can. I knew it would take a while to process my items, but that's ok by me. It is such a surprise when I get a notification for them. My grandchildren help me select and pack, and ship my bags, they love it. Most of my items are things I would have donated any way, if the are not accepted , well I still chose to have them donated. If the are accepted I get money, what could ne easier I feel Thredup is a win win for me and my family.

Amazing, amazing, site. The quality, style, and prices are really great. I ordered a pair of normally priced $250 shoes for $50, they are in great condition. Not to mention everything I've gotten from this site has been in great condition. If I ever need to return anything the process is really fast and easy. I've never had any problems.
The style this site has is also right up my alley. I find myself going on this site over any other site because of how great their style is, not to mention the prices! I have ordered a lot from them and their shipping is fairly fast. I have created a whole new wardrobe for a great price. Their prices, the quality and their style choices are unbeatable. Two thumbs up!!

I have to admit, I've had this app for months without purchasing anything. While I absolutely love the concept, I just wasn't finding anything that stood out to me. However, the more I browsed the more I was intrigued and I made my first purchase a couple days ago. The Designer category is fabulous and I was able to find 6 pieces in total for under $100. That's incredible. The descriptions of the merchandise is great and the filters are awesome. It cuts down "scrolling mindlessly" by 90% so you can easily find your sizes, brands you want and category of clothing. I highly recommend this. It's great for the environment and you can snag yourself a few designer pieces...with the tags attached!
