フィリピンのタガログ族の言語はフィリピノ語（ピリピノ語）です。元来はルソン島のマニラを中心に使われる言語。フィリピン政府の奨励政策もあり，およそ 1400万人の母語として用いられているといわれる。また，タガログ語を元にしたフィリピノ語は第2言語として約 2500万人に使用されている。古くはタガログ文字、現在はローマ字を用いる。
