The first thing you will need to do for finding yourself on an island is stay peaceful and examine your current situation. Find out what tools and supplies you can have on island.

Closely observe the birds as Animals and birds and bugs tend to live close to the water source. So, check out their flying patterns and their movement which will lead you to the nearest water source.
And if you are lucky this should also take you to the nearest possible sources of shelter and food. And also, toward the shelter from sun at day time.
But you must remember one most important thing, no matter how hot you feel never ever remove your clothes. Salt from your sweat attaches to your clothes and let you cool down while in an arid climate.

After water, shelter is 2nd most important thing. Cave, hole in the ground or lean too can work. You will need something to get away from the weather. Shelter from the heat, animals, rain, cold nights, wind and it can be anything. And shelter place should accommodate the safety.


Third important thing is food. Fish can be your food, seaweed too. Any edible plant that might be on the island, which other animals are eating. But remember, never over eat anything you might get digestion problem in starting days.


While surviving, always look for going back. Find something to signal the airplanes, nearby boats.
