タイムステリーズ：消えたアンブローズ家の宝 – リマスター版は、Artifex Mundi の資産の中で最も重要なゲームの拡張版であり、2010 年から始まるタイムトラベルゲームの三部作の第 1 章です。若き物理学博士、ビビアン・アンブローズは最近の科学的業績を祝うために父の家を訪ねます。彼女がそこに着くと、父はどこにも見あたりません。

父の消息の手かがりを探すうちに、主人公は奇妙な手紙を見つけます。それは彼女に突然の遺産を与えるものでした。7 つの魔法の指輪と水晶玉です。これらの謎めいたアイテムは彼女に時空を超えて旅をする能力を与えます。

水晶玉を覗くと、そこには彼女の父の最後の姿が映し出されます。理由はわかりませんが、彼は謎の時間旅行者に誘拐されたのでした。

主人公は父を捜し出す決意で、時空を超える危険な旅に出ます。その旅が家族にまつわる古い秘密にたどり着くことになるとは、彼女は知るよしもなかったのでした。

ビビアンは知力を振り絞って難しいパズルを解き、闇の埋もれた秘密を暴き、魔法の指輪を集め、父を救います。

Time Mysteries: Inheritance is a hidden-object game in which the player takes on the role of Vivien Ambrose, a respected doctor of physics. She discovers the mysteries of her family when she pursues a man who kidnapped her father. To rescue him, Vivien needs the help of a magical crystal ball that is damaged during her first journey in time. She must now find seven magical rings to give the sphere its power back. While looking for the rings, she will encounter many complex riddles and cleverly hidden items. With time it becomes clear that not everything is as simple as she initially thought.

By meeting her ancestors from times as diverse as the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the XIXth century, Vivien discovers an entirely different history behind her family than the one she knew. It will be revealed that the historical heritage of the Ambroses is far prominent than the few mentions in historical chronicles…
