For ease of use and accuracy, I haven't found a better app. As a keen cyclist, I often use it to judge the best days / times to plan rides, and the way the information is presented makes it easy to do this. I will always cross check with a couple of other sources for a long ride, and it is as reliable as any of these. Even on a recent 5 week tour of Australia I found it to be as accurate as the local BOM website for the larger towns (not surprisingly, for more remote places, the BOM had the edge). In the UK, its forecasts seem to mirror those of the Met Office but the app is far easier to use than theirs. It will be interesting to see what happens to the accuracy when the Beeb ends its association with the Met Office next year, but for now it's my first port of call

I have a few paid weather Apps and this is still my go to App. I hope they don't mess with it as it works and does what it should superbly. Had to delete a few app that used to be great but after silly updates killed them. This however is the exception it's the best for accuracy and free. Between this and the Rain today app you can't go wrong. It's actually got to a scary level of accuracy for the currant day and forecast for the next five days. Paid £2.99 for what was considered the best weather app and all it did was point out what was missing from their subscription service so it got refunded. This wins hands down so why pay. Would love them to add that weather watchers could add current weather state but then that would be tampering with an already great app.

The title says it all really. The information is supplied by the Met Office, who have the most comprehensive network of meteorological equipment in the world, this information is fed into one of the most powerful computers in the world and then interpreted by the best meteorologists in the world.

This information is then supplied to us in this very attractive app, which strikes just the right balance between too much and too little information.

I have found the information to be more accurate than any other app (with the exception of the Met Office App, which is less attractive). People need to understand that precise hourly forecasts of scattered showers and localised thunder storms for a specific town are actually impossible, even in this day and age.

Find what the weather is going to be for the next few days, for several locations, including outside the UK. Shows a summary of the day's weather in your local area with hourly changes for the current day and night displayed when you swipe - simple weather icons, temperature and wind speed and direction, and further information available when you tap the screen.
The next few days are shown as tabs with a weather icon at the bottom of the screen - tap to show the weather for that day.
You can change the view to another location from the menu to check weather elsewhere - useful when planning to travel for work or pleasure.
I don't keep track of the accuracy of the forecasts but I have no complaints. I check it daily.

Been using it a short while. Very clearly laid out with hourly forecasts lined up for the day, so you see any changes/fluctuations; getting full effect on horizontal turn. Area setting/ resetting absolute must. Haven't used it for overseas forecasts/ not sure if it does, something to look out for on purchase. Mentions the pollen count/sunrise a and sunset all absolute musts!!!! forecasts brilliant for iPads more so as you have the largest of all tablets screen. Older iPhones a little tricky especially when on the move.
The app itself no problems ( no glitches) accessing it using it.
All this, and it's a free app!!!!!!!!

Brilliant weather app. I use it daily and find it to be very accurate. With weather info coming directly from the met office it's definitely one of the most accurate apps out there. Easy to use and you can add up to 10 locations, plus it gives you a local weather forecast depending on your current location using your phone's GPS. It also gives you sunrise and sunset times for each day. The only area it could improve on is that it doesn't always recognise foreign place names as well, so you end up having to put in the nearest major town/city. Other than that is highly recommend it. There's also a version for iPads too.

This app is stunning. Nice clean UI design, making great use of sliding panes to provide detailed information without ever getting cluttered or confusing.

Very accurate weather reporting too, I've not yet seen it get the weather wrong. Location detection is spot on, something no other weather app on the store can claim. I'm sick of lazy apps that only give weather for London as a whole, instead of correctly detecting the borough you're in (Apple, please take note - your weather app is the worst for this).

This app takes pride of place on my home screen.

This app is well thought out and easy to use.
Information presented in a vibrant and clear way with all further info available at a swipe or a tap.
You know it’s a good app when you actually use it on a regular basis, recommended.
I would like to the developers however, to not remain complacent and to think of other applications where weather is vital to people. I’m a keen astronomer and would love to know when I can expect a clear night. Please build this extension in to the app and maybe inc. some form on notification. Pretty Please!!

I'd been using a different one for many years which was proving to be less and less accurate it seemed to be like guess work rather than an actual forecast,updates throughout the day were few and far between which wasn't much use as let's face it the British weather can literally change at the drop of a hat finding this one much more accurate in the short time I've been using it very simple lay out which can be read at a quick glance updated regularly gets the thumbs up from me keen to see how useful it prices to be when abroad

I live in Wales and have tried other weather apps, but found this one to be the most accurate. You need location services turned on if you travel about. It works well in Portugal and Spain too. Other people have stated that it is inaccurate long range, but all weather forecasting loses accuracy the longer you go into the future. It's called "The Butterfly Effect" folks. Google it or Google Edward Lorenz, a meteorologist who discovered it!!! Any forecast longer than a week in the future is, in my opinion, mainly guesswork!!!!!

I've been using this app for about three years and it's the easiest and best to use, I have stopped using anything else. The weather reports have a high degree of accuracy on the day they are reporting. The week ahead reports are great as well giving a very guide as to what the weather will be doing and I use to plan ahead where the weather has an impact. It's really easy to to add places to your favourites list and access them and it's great when on holiday as the gps tells it where you are and provides the right location.

Well I live in the UK so the weather is the most discussed topic isn't it?! I like this App, we get the brief day overview on the opening page of what the weather will be that day, then click into it for more detail, click on any icon for an even greater breakdown.
Weather warnings issued for further details too (top right).
No weather station can predict long term forecasts very well in my experience. What you think is a sunny weekend ahead can change the day before. Don't plan ahead and work one day started time.

I have been using this app for some months now and consider it to be the best of it's kind. At home the GPS initially highlighted places nearby rather than my true location. I reported this problem and got an immediate response that it would be corrected at next update and it was.
I would like to see info added on wind gusting speeds as can be seen on Met Office website.
Some problems with accuracy when forecast for now says rain when sun is shining and vice versa. Overall though I like it the best.

The app opens to displays all of the relevant information that you need, at a glance for your current location, broken down into 1 hour slots. With a daily summary for the next 10 days along the bottom of the screen.
A single tap will reveal additional information such as pressure and humidity or take you to the forecast for another day.
There is a simple search bar to access forecasts in other locations both domestic and international.
The best weather app I have used so far.

In response to Alan64 3 rd March 15.... Mate it's a FORECAST !! Not to be taken literally, the weather changes often not much you can do about it.... Weather men / women don't create he weather they report it...I'm not surprised you didn't get a reply... However I find this a Very good app, I find it as accurate as possible,clean smart , load up straight away no messing around, hourly forecasts I find very useful, as for weather apps I'd go with this one nothing wrong here :)

I've tried the Weather Underground app and Yahoo! Weather and they both take forever to show current forecasts. This one comes up in about 5 seconds. The forecast accuracy is the same for all of these apps (neither bad nor great). This one doesn't have any stupid animations (a windmill Yahoo, really?), just the information you need. Best of all, NO ADS!

It would be great to see weather radar updated every hour or so, or a daily weather map, but those are minor omissions.

I get so annoyed when I read people moaning about 'limitations' of a FREE app! For gods sake be thankful and not so bloody greedy. Why do you people always want more? It works well, it's accurate and it's FREE! So you can't have 10 locations, so what? Losers always want a free ride and are never satisfied whatever the situation. It a great app for local weather and I used it when I was in Portugal for Xmas...it worked accurately there too! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Second to none for accuracy for UK weather, tried lots of others this is the best weather App for the UK, not perfect but others are just way off the mark.

Only improvement l would like to see is the ability of the app to save the last weather you looked at for use offline when wifi may not be available.

Simply the best weather app for the UK, a real mine of useful information, nothing else comes close to predicting the correct local UK weather, l have tried most.

Sunday's ghastly afternoon mini storm arrived 5 mins early, here in Leeds !! Amazing, when you think of how volatile and unpredictable the summer air masses can be. I've only recently switched from yahoo weather and you are definitely better. One request : would you, please, ask your National TV weather people to include the Jet Stream in all their reports. It's fascinating and educational to see its influence as it vacillates between Iceland and Gibralter.

It seems that weather forecasting has become more of a science than an art now.
You can definitely rely on this app for its hour-by-hour guidance for today's weather.
Occasionally the weather changes take longer or are faster to roll through - but never enough to surprise you.
Of course beyond a couple of days in the future and the accuracy drops - but later predictions still give a good indicator of how the weather is going to change.
Excellent weather app.
