Simple and intuitive, all the features of the website but an easier function to help sell your car.

The only flaw is that searching by engine size is only possible in pre-set margins ie 1.0 - 1.4, and more irritating, you can't search by driven wheels, so when searching for an SUV, you can't rule out all the front wheel drive variants! UPDATE : You can now search via driven wheels on Cars, but not on Vans + Motorhomes. A close to perfect app! I've rated many many apps, none above 3*, this would get 6 in its current state and 10/5 (lol) if vans had the same search criteria as cars and engine size search could be more specific!! Good job auto trader!! I'm quite frankly stunned how good this one is, and pray others both catch up with it, and are as fast to respond to user feedback and reviews! After 30+ app reviews my first 5*

I am only 14, so sadly I can't drive (and if I did it would end up in imminent disaster), but I like to call myself a bit of a car enthusiast (if I may be so bold). So even browsing, looking at the pictures, comparing cars,... passes my time, and I must say it is very easy to use and fast ! The ads aren't bothersome at all, you can be very clear with exactly the car you want (year, engine,...) and most of the time there are loads of pictures ! If I had to say just one thing, it would be great if we could search a car with a precise age (for example, if we are searching for a 1985 Merc E, then it would be great if we could search a Merc E that is 19 years old. But that's just being nitty-gritty, so defo 5 stars !

I love this app. It's so easy to use and sift through all the cars on the current market. It's got all the specs for each car and excellent filters. The menus are easy to navigate and the simple scroll down function is excellent, no having to swipe to next page and wait for loading, like you have to on the website, it loads as you scroll, brilliant.

I love browsing this app even when I'm not looking to purchase a car, it's always good to see what's on the market and at what budget. I highly recommend downloading this app, even if you don't want to buy a car and are just a car enthusiast.

Well well well. After many an occasion of pressing the oh so friendly 'remind me later' button, I have lo and behold decided to review this app in the hope they will stop stalking me with that dreaded button. At this point I know if your still reading your wondering 'why didn't you just click never again?! The simple answer is I have no idea. I guess i liked it's persistence in calling me to the dark side of social media and now that I'm finally here I'd like to thank that button for allowing me to have my moment of glory and sit here today writing this review. Anyway back to this review. The app is SICK and cannot be faulted!

Better than I expected and for a free app is fantastic. Looks like some of the ads may be out of date but it is really useful for getting an idea of what's out there and prices. The advanced search allows you to isolate trade ads too and the review section gives some useful information on similar cars althought he models are not always exactly the same and often much newer versions. The spec section for each car or bike also is exceptional and seesm very accurate. More detailed selection criteria may come in time, particularly for motorcycles but all in all this is a VERY good application.

I like the app, especially the reg plate search function. Unlike some previous reviewers, I haven't been having the problem of mileage not coming up.

The biggest complaint would be the "Long session" warning coming up as soon as I start the app. It's very annoying as I've only just selected the make of the car! That's 10 seconds tops, hardly a long session. The problem of crashing at the start has been fixed, thanks for that :D

All in all, I believe this is a good app with potential, if the creases are ironed out.

This is the best app I've used for searching for and finding the right car... by a long shot!
It has been carefully thought out and planned to give the user the most intuitive interface, and the filtering to find the exact features you are looking for in a car keeps the user informed every step of the way.
It's layout and operation should be used as an example of how to make a really good app that delivers so much more than it says on the packet. The software team deserve to be treated to a good night out!

Yet again this app has made car buying a breeze.
I've crashed through every combination of cost, age, mileage, distance and more, in different mixes, until I isolated the great cars hidden amongst the many average ones - often surprising myself with models I'd overlooked. Then daily updates told me when new cars in my saved favourite profiles came up; so I could compare, eliminate and finally select the ideal car.
A brilliant help - I'll miss it.

Hello, I've been an avid user of Auto Trader now for quite a while, I don't normally write reviews but the new update is so bad that I feel I must. The new search look is simply awful, horrible design. Please update the app so that it was the same as before, or suggest a way I can downgrade? Thanks

I use this most days for seeing what's about and what prices are like, always really useful unlike other apps I've tried, easy to use interface is always a big bonus! Only thing I would recommend is putting things like mpg and tax info so you can see when looking at a car how many miles per gallon and yearly tax value.

I read all the negative reviews but the bugs must have been fixed because I've been able to save all my searches.

I found the filters and the alert system to be really clear and helpful, and the information about emissions, mpg, tax, etc has been invaluable.
Really good app, well laid out and simple to use.

iPhone version could do with a vehicle comparison section for saved cars, but overall very good user experience.

Would also value professional reviews, alongside the amateur ones.

Searching might be easier if cars and brands were grouped according to well understood definitions; e.g. Prestige cars,

This is by far the best way to search for a new vehicle. The only criticism I can level is probably due to the vendors, in that not every vendor seems to supply technical specs for their vehicles. If you are looking for a specific vehicle you probably are already aware of the specs however.

Such a great app. Not used it in year and just downloaded the latest version. Even better than before. Has all the filters that count when searching for a car/bike/van. Even though I'm not buying I still love to browse and have a little dream. Well done app team - great app!

The best car app available, easy, simple and fast to navigate around. Every vehicle is categorised accordingly which speeds up your search. Autotrader have been around for a while so it's not a suprise they would expand and improve like this. Absolutely brilliant...

Ive read auto trader since a boy when my dad used to buy and sell motors. This is the only car sales app as far as I am concerned, I have had this app on every smartphone I've ever had and it never fails me. Gotta love auto trader, it's the Google of cars!!

.....I only downloaded it out of curiosity, but I found myself playing £1500 roulette. Give yourself a maximum of £1500 and see how much car you can get. Some very nice BMWs, Merc, Jags...

Great app. I'll be keeping it until I have a barn full of cars.

It is great when a company spend time getting an app absolutely bang on - fast, intuitive with a huge amount of flexilibility on your searches- this app is not only the best motor searching app I've used, it is THE best app I've used full stop !

Great little app had practically no problems with it! Very helpful and found my car using it it tells you what category it is if any! LOVE IT!!!!!!

(To improve the app they should have a most recently added option)

This is a really good app and I have nothing to complain about apart from the fact that when a car that i saved is no longer available, I don't have the option to unsaved it( the save star button is greyed out.) any help on this would be great
