No interface is required between the transceiver and the iPad or iPhone. This tool can decode the morse sound from the speaker of the transceiver directly via the microphone of iPad or iPhone. Moreover, since recording of the message remains during reception in CW mode, it is effective for a long sentence.
It is said to be an enhanced tool to iCOM, but it seems that it is not known to Ham Radios so much in Japan yet.
