From an engineering standpoint, this is an excellent product. The install is simplified by awesome step-by-step instructions. The iPhone App and Lyric's software seem well thought out and works beautifully. Installation was simple and the WiFi connected easily. The thermostat is very attractive and all modes work as advertised. There is about a 20 second time delay for updated data when accessing remotely, but it always works. I'm guessing Honeywell needed to limit the number of server requests, plus this helps with power management. They probably wake and query the thermostat as needed. As far as the geofencing, as with all remote networking, there can be issues. If a mobile OS changes or the proprietor geosensing protocols change, Honeywell is always chasing software updates and updating for reliability. I was shocked at all the poor reviews and almost took the Lyric back. To my surprise the App is beautiful, simple, stable and well designed. The same is the case with the hardware. Good job Honeywell. I hope this offsets some of the ridiculous reviews found on the App Store. Other info: I use Uverse for WiFi (Motorola box).

My first home automation purchase. Works with Siri and shows up on Apple Home App automatically. We had a Honeywell 7 day programmable that was no t user friendly and hard to see in the dark hallway. Lyric took me an hour to install and connects to wifi. It lights up as you approach. It's temperature is changed with a rotating dial. It uses your phones location to switch into home and away mode. It sends me messages to change the filter. I adjust the temperature at my wife's request with my phone from bed. I will eventually link it to ADT/Honeywell home security. Have never had it disconnect from the wifi even when the power goes out. Can't express have satisfied I am with Lyric.

The device is great. Both my wife and I notice the house significantly cooler set 2-3 degrees warmer than we had with our old thermostat. The geofencing works well. My only complaint was that initial installation was buggy. I had to install twice because it crashed. That being said it's a great device and compares very favorably to my sibling's nest. It's integration with Apple home kit was fairly simple, and works well in the HomeKit app. Highly recommended.

I bought a round Lyric because it's just cool. Now i love it because it actually just works. My state of the art thermostats on my Monitronics system are sub par to say the least. Lyric apparently doesn't have to go to the internet first, b4 deciding whether or not it's going to work... very very cool! I Love Honeywell, the company that I grew up with!

I installed my lyric thermostat over 2 years ago & couldn't be happier. Installation was a breeze & customer service has been great. My family are all on different work schedules so I don't use the geo fencing. I do however enjoy the ability to have a daily schedule and to be able to make changes with my smart phone.

This app and the Lyric thermostat provide something unusual in a product today. It was not over hyped. It does exactly what it is advertised to do. No errors when installing and configuring. Simple to use, well designed product. Not over priced.

This app has worked flawlessly for several months. Geofencing is clever and useful for vacation mode. The thermostat has made our home more comfortable with an even distribution of warmth. We expect the cooling mode to be equally effective.

Works like a champ. Very easy to setup. I'm in Arizona so the geofencing feature is fantastic. AC kicks on when I'm 10 miles from home and I walk into a perfectly cooled down home!

Have totally enjoyed having access. Spent a week in Cabo San Lucas and remembered, I could set up a vacation schedule even though not home. Doesn't get cooler than that.

Had little issue programming it, you have to close out app and open again once first setup is complete. It won't see network thermostat without exiting it.

Works flawlessly. For those with the filter reminder that you cannot delete, place filter reminder in your calendar instead. Highly recommend this app.

Very easy to use App. And Lyric Thermostat works with older heat pumps which was great for me. Geofence works excellent. Well done.

They have really thought through this app and hardware. Took me 30 min to set it up. Great so far!

Was having an issue connecting my iPhone to the Lyric. Received very prompt reply with solution!!

Have added new water leak detectors and the App simplifies the view and monitoring activity !

Easy to use. So far so good but only had it a couple days. It does what we need it to do.

Just need way to see temp over time, and it will be perfect.
