My wife and I are getting towards retirement age. We like to browse around the country to look into possible retirement sites. Zillow has been a proven benefit to our pursuits. I recommend you try it if you wish to get a "feel" for an area of the country you are interested in. I really like the way you can filter your search for what you are looking for. Then, incredibly, if you save a property, Zillow will send you properties that match your search. Fantastic job Zillow. You are helping people and consequently helping your staff and representatives. It becomes what we all like. A win- win.

I used Zillow in 2013 to look for houses for rent and it was bulkier to navigate, but I remember it was revolutionary for the time. Now, I've been using it to search for houses to buy and it was essential to finding the house we are purchasing. The Friday emails with updates to houses for sale within our search parameters were how I found our house. We had to act fast so we were able to drive-by and make a quick decision. I will say that the Zillow market depends on the users and if the realtors want to it, not just FSBO homes. We have a thriving RE market and this app was a must!

Normally, I bypass invitations to review apps but I am making a special effort in sincere thanks to Zillow. I have been searching for homes and using every available app but Zillow stands out from the rest for ease of navigation and comprehensive information on neighborhoods and individual homes. During the course of my search, I lost my dream home in this crazy market but I kept it as a favorite on Zillow. When my dream home popped back on the market unexpectedly, Zillow notified me immediately. I was able to put in a new offer on the home and it was accepted! Thank you, Zillow.

Through Zillow I found our wonderful 2/2 in a great neighborhood. I pounced the day it was first listed, thanks mostly to Zillow's notification system. Sign up to receive listing updates in your designated area, and you will. That's one of the best features: pending sales, new listings, price changes - all trigger a notification. Track the properties you're interested in by saving them to your list. Draw search areas that help you include and exclude neighborhoods. I still watch neighborhoods. It's fun to see what's on the market. And who knows, maybe we'll move again one day.

I used Zillow in conducting my home search in 2011 and find myself using this app frequently still to check changes in my home's value, to see the value (and photos) of homes in my area ... And to explore properties in other areas I have interest in possibly investing in someday. I also use the app all the time when traveling, going for walks through neighborhoods, etc. if you've ever stood on a sidewalk and thought to yourself, "Wow, I wonder what that awesome house for sale looks like inside," zillow makes it easy to find out in mere seconds. Informational and entertaining.

I've been shopping around for a house for over eight months now and started getting really frustrated with Trulia. Their information about taxes is really off. Zillow appears to be more true regarding property taxes and information about nearby schools. They're both not great about updating property that is off the market, but I'm sure that's all the broker's doing. It's really easy to use and allows you to see more homes per search where as Trulia only will let you see around 25 out of the possible 75 to 100 that may come up in your search. Zillow's the way to go!

Such a valuable service. I love that home owners, renters, agents and buyers all have a place to make things happen. I don't miss the old days of newspaper ads and time consuming agent visits. It's so easy to shop for homes... I sometimes house shop for homes in exotic locations I know I'll never visit - just for fun! It's like a micro-vacation to Molokai. Seriously, God bless the good people of Zillow who are making the world a better place within their sphere of influence. They sure help us. *Please make Zillow for Europe - I want to 'micro-vacation' in Venice;)

Zillow is especially useful for shoppers looking in their local area. A few errors such total rooms or schools appear. Buyer beware and if interested, go look for yourself. I'd suggest that Zillow needs a clearing desk available to fix the errors to insure shoppers get the most accurate information. For example, the house I sold had four bedrooms, only three listed. Buyers should look beyond the posted information. Zillow does an excellent job of including more information and ease of use than other real estate search apps I've tried.

Zillow is a essential site if you are looking to buy or sell a home. I've been looking for a home for several months and have found many lends on Zillow that my broker missed! It does take some work to learn to use the site to find what you're looking for and weed out the rest but the site has tons of useful info and listings - new stuff everyday. Finding the right home is not easy and I can't imagine what this process would be like without Zillow. It helps me understand my local inventory in a more complete way than a realtor alone could.

I rarely give an app five stars, but since there isn't a 4.5 available I went with the five stars. This app is really good at having a variety of homes to view but also has effective filters to help narrow your search. I've been able to look at homes all over the country. Not only does Zillow show pictures of the homes but they give a birdseye view as well as and a google map of the area which can be zoomed in or out. That feature is really helpful in understanding exactly what portion of the city or surrounding areas the home is in.

This app works fine. Maybe it's the areas being searched. In Texas the Zestimates are low due to the crazy market - they tend to track with property value tax assessments. Depending on the locality and market, estimated values may be off. Not sure I'd sweat it like the other reviewer. Even with a little knowledge it's easy to arrive at a reasonably good estimate of a property's value (never rely on some computer application!).

I like the app, the custom earaches, sharing of properties and ability to contact the realtors / brokers.

This app was a tremendous help in our home buying process. It wasn't until some time had passed as I used it that I realized I was missing out on some great features such as how to take the homes off of the maps we were no longer interested in(no more punching the same homes over and over) and using the " more" tab to shorten navigation functions. Just take time to explore all u can do with it and I think you'll love it. I did not try to contact any of the agents on the website so I can't comment on that part. Happy house hunting!!

Okay, so this app is probably the best home app out there. And I'm here to make it even better. When I heart/save a home I like, I always look for more homes similar to that one. You should create a "style option" along with all the other options you can do to make what you're looking for in a home better. In this style option, it'd include all the home styles (southern, modern, craftsman, ect). Then in the area you're looking for a home it'd redefine your home search even more, giving us, home buyers, a better search. Thank you!

I really have enjoyed using the Zillow app to find info on local real estate. They have a good user interface, and have a very wide selection of properties available to look at. The app doesn't crash or freeze, and it loads very quickly. The only downside to the Zillow app. is that sometimes some of The properties that list as available are already taken. I'm not sure if this is something Zillow has control over, or if MLS is just being slow to report information. If anything it's an app that is great for starting the process.

Zillow does nearly everything you could ask for. Powerful filters, super intuitive, lots of extras beyond sharing like birds eye view, driving directions, map draw, saving individual photos into album themes, school ratings from great schools, etc. Realtors set you up on the MLS portal, but I use it just to get the addresses, then go to zillow. Data is not always as up to date as MLS, but it's close enough for most purposes. And the estimates of surrounding properties and predictive trends on pricing adds perspective.

We used Zillow before even talking to our realtor about homes we wanted to look at. We found our home and knew right away the home we wanted to look at when we were ready. We just had our inspection and are planning on closing soon. We would never have found the home without Zillow. One criticism I have is that sometimes posts stay on for a while after they're sold. We contacted a few saying we wanted to look but they said that they were sold months ago and that Zillow just hadn't updated yet.

I have found my current and previous apartments through Zillow and I can't imagine going back to the days of craigslist and newspaper ads. Filters allow you to find only results that interest you: prince range and location are obvious, but also distance to schools, school ratings, as well as any combination of amenities you can dream of. Zillow has other apps for renting, finding the right mortgage and home decorating ideas (Digs). Seriously it's no wonder they were able to buy their next biggest competitor!

Zillow is my favorite app for home search/sale. It has all of the information that I need to make an informed decision- pictures, nearby comparables, tax history, price history, and the birds eye view is a godsend for siting property proximity to lakes, forests, airports, etc. it is most accurate in regions where people participate in contributing information, but I find it to be a great guideline in my search. I can't imagine how people searched for homes before this wonderful tool became available!

I have using Zillow for about a week and a half just to get ideas on what is available for my family in the future. We are currently in the process of getting our things organized in our home in New Jersey to relocate back to New York. We have a specific area
in mind and I have been able to see what's out there and what my options would be as far as buying or renting. I like that I can modify my search and zone into a specific area on the map. Hopefully this app will help us find the perfect place!
