I thought this free app was a home run, until it started telling me I had to view my Yahoo Mail in Safari instead of just displaying it right in the app itself. Why 'fix' it if it wasn't broken? I thought it was a glitch- until I downloaded the updated version and discovered it still does this same stupid trick! It takes nearly 3 times as long (depending on your connection) to launch Safari to view my mail. If I wanted that, I would have used Safari in the first place and just ignored this app. And I don't like the new formatting for the Safari version of Yahoo Mail anyway. Yahoo needs to rectify this soon by reverting to "Mail within the App"; otherwise I'll delete this app and go back to Google mail. I can't imagine ANY Yahoo Mail user- hardcore or casual user- that is happy with this "fix". Pay attention to the desires of your users, Yahoo!

After using the crappy Yahoo! oneConnect app on my iPhone, I was skeptical about the new Yahoo! app. After using this new app, I am bidding farewell to both the Google and oneConnect apps. The new app is very clean and easy to navigate. The new theme for Yahoo! seems to be synergy, and from what I can see, they have a very good start. In particular, the "My Interests" tab is very cool. I am also very pleased with the apps integration of Yahoo! Calender and Mail. I like the integration of Facebook, Myspace, etc, but for the time being, status and photo updates are the only thing you can view; hopefully with time that will change. Yahoo! oneSearch is okay, but not anything like Google Search. All-in-All, I think Yahoo has done a great job with their new app, and I hope newer/better upgrades are in its future.

I love this app, I go here to read articles about the latest news and current events like the war on ISIL, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, etc. many ppl would say why wouldn't you go to cnn or Fox News? It's because this app never crashes and doesn't take a long time to load up, I simply just touch the app and I'm in, cnn takes at least 5 minutes and half the time it crashes as soon as the home page appears. I definitely prefer you to download this app if you like reading

The first thing I do every morning is grab a cup of coffee and read Yahoo news. I like it because it's a good mixture of hard news and entertaining human interest stories. Then I'll look at Huffington Post and CNN news to check out the more in-depth stories that might not be covered by Yahoo. But I have to say that Yahoo! News covers the top stories that I really want to read in a very concise and professional way. Well done!

Yahoo app is one fantastic app. Not only does it cover news events but sports and entertainment. It's like all the news that pertains to our lives all wrapped up in one iPhone app. The design ease of use and pictures all make this the world news app of the future that is here today. Business, world and u s news, sports and entertainment. Thank you yahoo for making one of my favorite if not favorite app.

I love reading the articles as a time killer while sitting on the toilet. It's just really irritating when there's a "top ten"-type list to read, and that article ends by saying "read on to find out more..." and the list is not even there! Also, there's a trend of a lack of pictures when they'd really strengthen the article, like when it's about some new tech gadget or new type of car.

I Love Yahoo! I especially luv that you keep me up to date on all the latest Science news. In as much as I am a gluten for all types. I went to college to study Forensic Science but was bitten by the Sociology bug. Soci allow me to combine many favorite disciplines including Data Management, which I had work history in. Thanks Yahoo! For keeping me in the loop morning to night old friends.

This app has been my #1 staple for using the Internet for almost 15 years! I start HERE every single day to get my News, Entertainment, Sports and Emails. The visual graphics are wonderful and this app is by far the most user friendly one on the net. I am so happy and pleased with this app and front page that I want to say, Thank You Ya--Ho--o--o! For making my day, everyday! LoL!!

Using it for quite a long time, i've never gotten close to any other news app. I totally enjoy reading technology news like all time and i'd gladly five it a five star

I love the yahoo app! It's so nice to type in any question I have and get several options for the answer I need. The app is easy to use and it has less advertisements that makes it hard to find what you are looking for. To tell you the truth I like looking things up on this app more then looking on my computer using yahoo. Overall I have been very impressed with this app.

This is my only source of news because when you try to check any "regular" news it's always negative or ridiculous or both. Great app!
Lately the app has been harassing me to "rate the app" and I already have. I don't care for the harassment, but I can live with that... I'd like to be able to choose reader view for every article. The adds are annoying as all hell...

Among the many things I like, my faves are the variety and always-first-on-the-scene news style; also grateful for the informative health & Answers sections. Get your edge back, Yahoo, by focusing on your strength: news & health tips. Oh btw, rebuild and streamline Messengers when you have time. Can't just let all the newbies/wannabes bully you like that!

Honestly, I have no idea why people are having problems evidently. I use the app everyday as one of my major news sources, and I've never had any problems. Always opens and is quick to load everything. Haven't had any problems. I'd love to see some kind of 3D Touch interface, but I'm sure something will be on its way. Anyways, keep up the good work!!!

I don't have to wait until I get home to hear the news when it's so connivence any time you have time to see each updates or what's happening anywhere. My friends at work just JOKES

I have a few different news apps on my phone,some are for local news.I like the variety of news stories and find myself reading articles I normally wouldn't be untested in. I find the commentary by the reports insightful and useful. I find myself always using this app when I'm waiting for anything instead of playing a game.

This review is about the yahoo app, not about yahoo content. The app has gotten so much better and easier than ever before!! I love the ease of browsing the app on my iPhone. The layout is not cluttered with ads and it's actually easier to navigate than the yahoo website...keep up the good work yahoo!!!! Go crush Google;-).

Yahoo is now by far the best news app. You can customize it so that you only see content and categories that you are interested in and they even have a cool Local News section. Also there is a commenting section below each article. Just the cutting edge design and interface is second to none. Definitely my go-to for news

I use this app as a great quick dive into the news: local, national and global. This app keeps me up to date with breaking news through notifications as well. Not all the stories are excellently written, nor is it 100 percent accurate, but what news source is today.

I find that this app is a good starting point.

I see myself constantly going to my yahoo app for everything. Need to know about person.... Yahoo app. Need to know about movie.... Yahoo app. Recipe ..... Yahoo app. Phone number..... Yahoo app. Love the ease to which I succumb to practice.
