It only took me a few days working with the free trial to see the value in signing up. Connect any credit card and bank account you use for business to the software and iCloud and enjoy worry free record keeping. Just open the app and tap whether a transaction is business or personal; add a "rule" to common transactions, so the category automatically populates in them, and the rest of the work is done for you. Including figuring your quarterly tax payments and the ability to pay them through the site. And when you consider that the monthly subscription is a tax write off, it's a no brainer. The only thing I would like to see is a dedicated iPad app that has all the functionality of the mobile site, but with a smoother UI...like the iPhone app. But, I'm quibbling. If you're like me...you work for yourself, have no employees, and are on the fence about whether to do your taxes yourself, or spend too much money on an accountant...this app and software is for you. Give it a try, I think you'll be glad you did.

I've been using Intuit's TurboTax for decades, and trust it completely. Easy, intuitive, accurate, and even kind of fun. Well I recently and rather unexpectedly took the self-employment plunge, and needed to figure out taxes and everything else at warp speed. I figured I couldn't go too far wrong with an Intuit product.
I've been using QBSE for all of three weeks now, and at the very least I feel I'm not losing track of things (my biggest fear). I have two cards I try to use exclusively for my business, and the linking went way more smoothly than I expected. I'm a newby at this, but at least I feel like I have a safety net in this program.

This app is a Huge timesaver for my CPA and I.
There is one thing I wish they would incorporate in the next update. The ability to mass swipe a bunch of transactions or miles all at once.
I'm only in this app about once per month and it's a little time consuming to have to swipe 300plus transactions and 60plus trips individually when I know all of them are for business. I wish I could just select all of them at once and assign them to business.
Other than that, this app is perfect for people like me who hate the small details of running a small business. This app will make your life so much easier! 5 stars!!

I run a pet sitting/dog walking business and this app has been a huge help when it comes to balancing my I&E during the month! I love that is calculates mileage too. If I had an option to change anything, I would give the user the opportunity to have the ability for custom labels,instead of having to place them with the labels given on the app. For example- I want to be able to separate "Professional services" into several different categories- Vet services, Handling Services, Etc. But the app will not allow me to do that.

Would like some more report choices, but this makes life so much easier for someone who puts off everything to do with accounts! I can now allocate my transactions in a few minutes, keep a much better handle on my tax commitment - AND since I started using the mileage tracking yesterday - can now allocate business miles without forgetting trips. It registered 4 separate trips today , and I would have forgotten them in a day or two. The more improvements and expansions this gets, the more I will stick with it for good!

Full disclosure: I work for Intuit, but I only downloaded this app after reading multiple independent reviews. I have some side income and it's so easy to track what's coming in and out. I also love the automatic mileage tracking. Tax time is going to be so much easier next year! I don't think this is the right product of you are 100% self employed but if you have side income and want to keep track of your deductions and mileage, this is a great, basic app.

This app is fairly new. I have seen much improvements ever since I started using it. It does take some time to work it when first installed. It evolves over time when it learns every transactions downloaded after setting up the rules.

Love the fact it takes most of the guesswork between business/personal and gives me an estimated on quarterly taxes.

One of my favorite features is to record mileage.

Quickbooks, keep it up and keep on improving!

I enjoyed the trial and it made sense to me to continue using the service. It's really say to categorize everything and it quickly updates.
I am an independent hairdresser and this will make my expenses and taxes so much easier. The only thing I wish I could change would be - a couple of my vendors are incorrectly auto-categorized, I wish I could change this once for forever, so I wouldn't have to change it manually each time.

I am an independent stylist and I run my own business and this program has made my life sooooo much easier as I love to keep my business very organized. It's user friendly and you can make rules so certain transactions will automatically go to a certain category. I have to pay taxes every quarter so this is a God-send. I will be telling everyone about it. This is an unbiased review. I pay the monthly payment.

Quickbooks Self-Employed allows me the freedom to focus my efforts on my core business and passion through seamless transaction categorization, mileage tracking, and quarterly and annual tax filing. As my business grows, I only see this product increasing in value. What a gift!

I've used Quickbooks Self Employed for nearly a year, and would recommend it to others, but with the new mileage tracker, it's even more of a game changer. I've been using an app called MileIQ to track my mileage for over a year and it cost $6 per month. Now I can solely use Quickbooks and save that $6 per month and have that feature integrated into my Quickbooks automatically.

I was really struggling with my business finances in being organized with taxes. This app has put me on the right track. I am much better than where I was. I love that it categorizes all of your expenses and income. It has helped me with my quarterly taxes by breakdown what I would owe after expenses. So far it is on point with the projected amount owed.

This app has been absolutely amazing for me! Everything from mileage to scanning my receipts after they show up, it's been amazing. I've been worried about quarterly taxes but with this app, it's really helped me keep my finances in perspective of what I owe and what I've written off. Great app especially if you're self employed or you are your own boss!

If you're looking for a simple, easy to use App to keep your business books using your iPhone this is it! Entering income, expenses & mileage from your phone is a snap & the result is a P&L at your finger tips. If you need more advanced features they are available on the web version using a desktop or laptop. All for $10 a month. Love this app!

This app is simple to use while also keeping me organized daily. As a person with my own company, keeping on top of the deductions, mileage and expenses is vital. This app makes this process as simple as possible while being mobile on my phone. If u need mileage tracked with your expenses you don't need multiple apps anymore. Get this one!!

I was skeptical at first when I downloaded this app since it was an add on Instagram but, it's worked really well for me. I had a really hard time filing my taxes but now I'm actually excited about something I couldn't even figure out before. Thank you for lifting a burden off my shoulders! I'll be subscribing once my trial is over!

Seriously the quick books app is incredibly helpful! I own & run a mobile spray tanning business, on top of being a busy mother of 2 young children. Being able to track my mileage and keep track of my expenses without even thinking about it, is saving me so much time. When it comes to managing my business, quick books is my go to!

I have to give this app 5 stars, I absolutely love it! Currently my only qualm comes after the last update; When I sort all my transactions by category and assign a category to the uncategorized, every time I hit "<" for back, the app crashes! Other than that the app looks beautiful and using QB has never been easier.

I've barely scratched the surface of this app so far, but what made me get it was the automatic mileage tracking. I had been logging my miles on my notepad, which became a huge hassle. I love how I can immediately categorize each trip as business or personal, and the same with my bank transactions!

Perfect product for on my phone and laptop. Absoutley love this product...tracks everything from my bank accounts...and the couple times I needed support, issue was resolved in under 24 hours...just excellent customer service. Thank you Intuit for making my self employment easy! Highly recommended!
