Great game but lacks crucial feature

Hey. It’s been a few years after the launch of this game and I can’t stop thinking about why why there isn’t a cross play option with Android yet. Maybe if cross play isn’t possible could the game have a feature to play against friends on the same wifi?
I loved the game and it would be epic if I got to play along with my friends
