Love and thanks you so much for this wonderful app.
But look like it still have a weird bug:
When I use voice recognition feature. It works great until I use keyboard to find the words which unable to recognize and comeback to voice. Voice recognize become corrupt and the notification is:
SessionId=com.siri.cortext.ace.speed.session.event.SpeechSessionId@******, Message=No audio data received.
I use iphone6s ios 13.5.1
Please fix it!
By the way, does OCR feature work better at the phone with better camera(for example: iphone X)?

In addition to the camera capture and other features, I use the text analyzer feature of this app for several hours every day.
This app has helped me to finally make the transition from “learning to read Japanese” to “reading Japanese to learn” and even to “reading Japanese for pleasure”.
The developers are very responsive and committed to continuous improvement.
Check out the text analyzer feature to add furighana and click on words/phrases to obtain definitions as needed.

私は現在、国外に住んでいるのですが、友達によく漢字について教えてくれと言われて、何かいいものはないかと思い探して見たところ、このアプリを見つけました。このアプリを知って友達も喜んでいました。
個人的には英語の画像を読み取って日本語に翻訳できるように(つまりこのアプリの逆)なると便利だと思います。

Like seriously, it has so many useful features yet so easy to use. The most remarkable feature may be the pitch accent dictionary, which is absent in other EN-JP dict apps. And I can save new words to lists, which is super useful to review. And what, OCT? This is really such a steal, a free app of this high quality! Like even if it doesn’t have Jp-Jp definitions, it got tons of examples to learn from. Hands down the best free En-Jp app out there, totally recommend. TYSM devs.

I have a paid version of this app and it has some nice features. The only thing I’m not completely satisfied with is the kanji recognizing camera. It doesn’t catch the word well and if you move just a bit (it’s difficult not to) it will catch a different word in the text. This is definitely something the developers should be working on.
I also recommend yomiwa browser from the same company. I use it all the time.

I have used this app a very long time and it has helped my with kanjis and words all the way from N5 and N1. I love the feature of taking a photo and let it give you the reading and translation. It made learning 2000+ kanjis within 2 years so much easier and faster. And when I came across a bug and reported it, I recieved response that same day and a fix the next. This app is most likely the most used app on my phone.

I use this app to look up kanji that I cannot read. Simply take a screenshot of a Japanese webpage or manga, open it in the Yomiwa app, and it will immediately recognize the text. Tapping words will show definitions and many examples. You can save words in a list to study later. The developer frequently updates the app and it just keeps getting better. Thank You!

精度が悪いと言ってる人は文字に焦点を当ててないのでは？
文字に焦点を当てれば非常に良い精度の結果が返ってくるので留学生にはもってこいのアプリです！
文字単位ではなく単語単位での意味結果が返ってくるのもすごい

This app has everything, dictionary, text analyser and kanji recognition function. The best part of it is “the wall”, where you can post pictures of kanjies that the app doesn’t recognises and people will kindly help you to figure them out. It definitely is the app I was looking for since I started learning Japanese 10 years ago.

This app has been really useful to my JP language studies. Also, whenever I’m facing issues with the app, the Developer Team is very accommodating and quick to resolve the issues. I love the example sentences database as well. I can’t think of any negative points. This app just keeps getting better. Keep up the good work guys!

I am astounded that the OCR is so accurate and fast in this app. 日本go can scan both horizontal and vertical text from printed text to signage. But this only one of the many brilliant features packed into this app. 日本go is now an important tool as I read and translate Japanese. My hat goes off to the developer.

I found a bug that crashed the app, so I sent an email to their team and in exactly five minutes, they replied.

After a few email exchanges, they immediately rolled out an update four days later and everything worked perfectly for me!

I’d rate this a 10/10 if I could!

This app can tell us how to read and the meanings of Kanji. Live detection works almost correctly. This is an interesting app. I love it.

Further improvement of the recognitions of collocations of Kanji would help many travelers and foreigners in Japan ;)

I've tried other kanji recognition apps before and this one beats them all. Huge timesaver when looking up kanji by camera, plus the built-in dictionary has very useful explanations with sentence examples. Keep up the good work!

I use this app daily for my learning and usage at work too. It’s features are quite useful and practical. I highly recommend everyone to give it a try and see for themselves. Have fun learning.

Frankly I quite don’t use the camera kanji detection mode so I can’t judge it properly, but in general it is a very good app and the request wall is a great way to help solving problems.

I found it worth every yen and use it quite often. Not only is it helpful in reading text quickly, but it is also easy to learn more about the unknown kanji characters for your own study.
