単語を増やす最高の方法、英語で英語単語の意味を調べる、そのためにこのアプリ購入しました。

英語で英語単語の意味を調べる場合、意味の方の単語がさっぱりわかんないということがあり断念してしまう、ということが普通あります。
でも、このアプリでは、どの場所で表示されてる単語も選択してすぐに意味が調べられるので次から次へとどんどん単語が調べられます。
調べた単語はワンタッチで単語帳に次々放り込んでいけるので、調べた単語の蓄積が実感できます。単語帳からは単語ワンクリックで意味を調べられるので、「あれこの意味なんだっけ？」という時も安心です。
洋書を読みながらわからない意味をこのアプリで次々調べていると、楽しい遊びをしているようです。そして、本が少しづつスラスラ読めるようになると、明らかに単語数が増えていることが実感できます。

In more than 30 years of professional work as a translator and writer, this is by far the most useful resource for using the English language I've ever found. I now use this dictionary almost exclusively -- it is indeed a rare occasion for me to even look at any other reference source.

I recommend this app to any and everyone, from native English speakers both casual and professional, to foreign students of English from any country.

英単語の説明に加えて、idiomや口語表現まで幅広く掲載されている優れもの。英語圏の人の使う英英辞書ではカバーされていない用法が記載されているように思います。英語は喋れませんが、好きな小説を読むのに活用しています。

Idiom やcollocation等、2個以上の単語から成る言葉を調べるのに便利な辞書です。2冊目以降の辞書としてお薦めします。他の辞書からの抜粋であるため、星5つは付けれません。でも便利。こういう辞書もありですね。

少しずつ語彙を増やすのにうってつけ。発音も聞けるし、毎日配信される記事、今日誕生日の人物、歴史上の出来事の読み物も面白い。ひくだけの辞書ではなくて思わず読み込んでしまう辞書。オススメ！！

I’ve tried other online dictionaries, but have found none—including OED—that compare to the Free Dictionary Pro in form and function. And, as an added bonus, it instantly translates English words and phrases into script and voice of other languages.

I'm having fun to read articles and play wording games on the front page. But when I want to learn about the word and come back to the front, I have to read from the top, and that is annoying. I hope I can come back specific place I was at.

The free version is going to be enough for most people but, I would recommend buying the full version, if you are intending to use it for a longtime.
