Make Local US Calls From Mexico Free!
If you travel to Mexico you can make calls using your US Pinger number to call to the United States without it having to be a long distance call as long as you have minutes and a Good Quality WiFi connection; I really like this feature! As long as you've registered your Pinger number in the US, you can travel international & make calls back home to the United States, free of charge! I like the fact that no matter where you're at your family sees your local US number as if you were there in town. I'm in Mexico City and I use Pinger to call my family/friends to any of their cell phone/home phone in Arizona all the time without having to be buying long distance phone cards or be accumulating international fees on my relative's Mexican cell phone! The best part is that you will not waist your minutes if your friends or relatives call you so just take a minute to call and tell them to call you right back to conserve your Pinger minutes! (:
This will not work if you download pinger in Mexico as it will provide you a local Mex. phone number and not give you a US number even if you're phone is from the United States. You must download the app before traveling out of the US! You will save money by not having to buy long distance phone cards. When making calls, remember to be as close as you can to the modem or WiFi connection for best call quality; Enjoy!
